But it's far worse than Assistant on Android Auto. Like, not even close. It's a bit frustrating
@@FAB1150 I haven’t used android auto but Siri does make life a lot easier when having to do some things while driving. It may be blissful, but I love that it’s a feature nonetheless. To each their own.
idk why I’m here because my car is too old for Apple CarPlay
Could always add a CarPlay screen, some even aren’t too expensive
well just buy a new head unit display... almost all of them support either Android Auto or Carplay
My car is from 2016 but no carplay lol it only has cd, radio, bluetooth
I have an 04 Toyota and I have a double din Kenwood deck that has both. It’s awesome!!!
@@RichBatangKalyewhat car you got?
The fact that you are listening to Kari Jobe❤️
May His favour be upon you

CarPlay came out way earlier than Android Auto, Android Auto came out in Android 10 while CarPlay came out at iOS 4 on iPhone 4!! Basically 10 years earlier…
Apple CarPlay is just more pleasing to the eye. Functionally the same but visuals are everything
People that use CDs and original radio 💪
Radio is torturous shit but CDs are an absolute blast to use in my car.
@@DL_Burga true, radios are a burden but CDs

@@paraskevaspapantonakis How tf is a radio gonna run out of battery it’s literally… Integrated to the car
Just… Take care of them? Don’t rub them on sandpaper and they’ll be fine? It’s way more fun to buy your own music than to stream it
Being a person who uses two phones regularly I have always noticed how all Apple's products look the cleanest and function the smoothest, but Android ones are always simply superior in terms of usefulness
The notifications on Apple CarPlay is way better android auto notifications block you from seeing everything while driving it makes crazy
On Android Auto, if you have a smaller display in your car, then the taskbar is actually on the bottom, on larger screens, it’s on the side. With Apple CarPlay, the taskbar is on the side no matter your screen size.
nope, CarPlay's dock can be on the bottom of the screen as well (the mustang mach e has it on the bottom)
carplay taskbar/dock is on the bottom on larger square-like ratio infotainment systems
The dock depends on the ratio. If ur screen is side, it will be on the side. If it's tall, then bottom
Ive used CarPlay nearly every day since 2019 and I cannot go back to without it. My mom had android auto for a short time (a rental while her car was in the shop) Shortly after she also got an iPhone and made the switch to CarPlay, she says it’s 100x more responsive and easier to navigate
Please mention the androids phone used by your mom
@@aditya_guptait was a galaxy Note 10+
Just like iPhone in general. More fluid with less bugs!!!
Lmao bro these people who switched from android should have never used one if they “actually” used one before.
@@seanlacroixright my iPhone 13 been way more buggy than any Samsung or pixel I’ve had. Cell signal is the absolute worst of any phone I’ve had. Disconnects where it’s full bars. Sometimes it won’t come back at all I have to airplane mode it. Apps and games that have been around on both platforms lag for me like sonic dash and subway surfers when older androids can handle those fine. Safari always refreshing pages or can’t fully load. So much for just working I can’t wait for the s24 ultra.
apple is more appealing to the eye and user friendly
This comparison was super extensive and was very informative 👏🏼🤣
Bro has more notifications than I have gotten in my entire life 💀
Is that a CX-9 or CX-5? 😍
Are we gonna talk about how bro has 14k mails💀
Its not about looks. Apple carplay is so much smoother and optimized than Android auto. Try opening cameras when using google maps in android auto and android auto will crash. Also many instances where it is unstable
So thanks to that new update android auto has caught up to CarPlay? Can’t wait for next-gen CarPlay to absolutely annihilate it again. took android auto 9 years to catch up to first-gen CarPlay.
Yes!! Can’t wait for the apple carOS. I personally use apple because I love the simplicity and design and how everything just works. And carplay is SUPER road focused, quick, and easy to use, where as android auto is slow, buggy, and requires more attention. And while siri may be horrible on your iphone, when using it in carplay it’s amazing and you don’t even have to look at the screen
and adding on, apple wallet is just awesome how you can share your keys with others! and unlock your car and drive with a tap!
@@iilostxshadowroblox4952 i dont own a car with that functionality but it truly is a great feature if your car supports it. especially with apple watch, and still working when the phone is powered off
From first sight, apple car play still feels easier to use. Every buttons are easily identified and contrast is better. My die hard android friend has the same opinion. So when his girlfriend is in the car with him, it’s always CarPlay. He also said CarPlay was much more responsive and fast. Less laggy.
Apple CarPlay has a better name, since that’s the only distinguishable feature, Apple CarPlay wins by default.
I experienced Android Auto 6 months ago and it was extremely sluggish and a general frustrating experience. I’ve used Apple Car Play for years and I have never once, and I mean ever, experienced lag, sluggish, or an error using it. This is completely opinion based and based off my experience. I just prefer that system.
Tell me your liar without saying you’re a liar. Never? Lmao we had to unplug it many times from freezes and you have to restart your iPhone to reset it. Android doesn’t have to do that if it occurs. It’s actually worked better for us. CarPlay was always an issue in our experience.
Also Apple CarPlay connects wirelessly too
Android auto also has wireless capability. Depending on the car
Both does
this is the first time ive seen someone have to plug in their phone to use apple car play
both does if the car support that.
@@mrducky179 yeah basically every car that has carplay does it wirelessly except for the cars released when Carplay first came out back in 2014.
I think apple CarPlay looks more modern
Generally Apple car play is supported in more cars, even wireless over wired compared to android auto.
Think cars like porches/mercs will also have huge black screen sections of android auto compared to Apple CarPlay filling the entire screen
Apple car play looks awesome
Dude is secretly working for Android.
😂😂
He is so much biased to Android
@@cubekong6272 Biased? Could it be that maybe Android is just better?
By those standards, every tech RUclipsr and review website is secretly working for Apple, Apple users just can't seem to tolerate any amount of criticism.
@@vivek_v bro it’s not like that I am a Android user and i can say that android has some advantage over ios but I prefer Apple car play over android auto
I have a secondary IPhone that i use in my apple carplay
I have used android auto and apple carplay and i can say that apple carplay is much better in experience and smooth
🙂
My main problem with Android Auto is it being consistently inconsistent. I had to have multiple USB-C cables because they’d stop working randomly and even when it did work, it would freeze or disconnect. I had a whole month of consistent Apple Car Play on an iPhone 8 when my Galaxy S20 could not. It’s sad because Android Auto is pretty nice.
a colleague of mine uses CarPlay. Disconnects every 5 to 20 minutes. I think I'll stick with Bluetooth
Unless that is only happening with their iPhone that’s not related to Apple CarPlay. It’s probably a bad cable, connection somewhere, or an aftermarket radio of low quality.
Thats a personal problem and ur talking like everyone experiences it
I’ve used CarPlay across 4 different vehicles
The only time I’ve had issues with it disconnecting is when using shitty old cables. If your cables are in good condition or it’s wireless then there’s no problem
Try using your android phone when it’s connected to android auto. Maps etc. and do the same with CarPlay.
Android auto doesn’t let you use apps on the android phone properly
Why are you using your phone while driving???????
@@Mark-kt5mhtalking about parked scenario when I’d like to check something or update maps

Apple CarPlay just feels better 😂
android auto disconnects way too much
People say it's better because apple costs more. The majority of apple users just think the more they spend, the better. Most iphone users actually know little to nothing about how apple loves to scam you.
Apple are no worse than Samsung dude.
But if you want to talk shit about people who buy phones from expensive companies I’ll have you know that Samsung produce the worlds most expensive phone not apple so right back at you.
@@Racing_Fox413 That's not what I am saying, I'm just saying that most apple users think it is better because it costs more. I have asked every apple users I know why apple is better and everyone always replies "Because android sucks and it is cheap" I ask how does it suck? And a lot of replies are "the camera take bad photos" But the top couple of phones that take best photos in public opinion are mostly android. Source: MKBHD
@@Racing_Fox413 Not to mention that apple scams you for repairs. You either pay an insane price for apple care or you get it replaced at a repair shop, after the screens are replaced with newer ones, apple shuts off the damn front camera like a bunch of shit bags. If you go directly to apple, majority of the time they will tell you it is "unfixable" FOR A DAMN CRACKED SCREEN. After 3 apple phones and multiple incidents of them trying to basically scam me, I decided to do real research, low and behold android doesn't do that crap. And you get so much more freedom.

I must appreciate the beautifully designed corners of carplay vs the sharp corners of android auto
Apple CarPlay is "better" than Android Auto by being cleaner, minimalistic, and just overall having a better design. But of course, if you define "better" by the features they have, then they are identical or similar. It really just comes down to personal preferences.
IT IS BETTER!!! ALL APPLE PRODUCTS ARE BETTER ESPECIALLY THE IPHONE!!!
just kidding 😅

tbh visually car play is decades ahead
Apple carplay has Apple maps which alone makes it 100x worse
You can 100% use Google maps. But imo Android auto and Google assistant works better but carplay looks better.
One of the best parts of Android Auto is when your passenger they have a microphone button that you can press in order to do things like play music
You are definitely the type of dude to drive a CX-5, great cars!
Great song, that last one, the blessing - Kari Jobe
"If that thing got the back camera shit its good" my 60 year old pops
Android Auto in the first couple years was HORRIBLE, happy for Android users that get this improved experience because CarPlay/Android Auto is way more helpful than I thought it’d be
As a CarPlay user for the past 2 years, I really gotta say; both are absolutely essential, *but* on the other hand, both are lacking in 3rd-party app support. Why delivery gig apps still don’t have a CarPlay/AndroidAuto extension baffles me
You can still use your iPhone when it'd hooked to a car, android basically shuts down and you have to unplug it to make any maps changes
I feel like Apple car play is just a bit more flexible and customizable
Ah yes, this video really settled the dispute
having used both on flagships, carplay is far more optimised and runs the phone a lot cooler
As someone who always turns off car play I see this as an absolute win
I’ve used both. It definitely is more seamless
Yup. Thanks for confirming that not only Apple CarPlay is way better, but also looks way better.
