what about the phone call audio quality?
They never show that
So because it is running on Android, are you able to access Google Maps without connecting your cell phone?
I ordered one of these, please don't listen to any positive reviews, to start with its £240 and when it arrives its a low quality screen the resolution says its 1080 however when using CarPlay the resolution looks very low and is EXTREMELY laggy when swiping, when trying to use the inbuilt apps I connected it to my wifi but the in built RUclips app wouldn't work and kept giving me a 400 error, additionally when using CarPlay the microphone wasn't working correctly so when asking if I would like to send messages it would ask what I wanted to say and would then cut off before I finished and then when saying would you like to send it I would say no and it would send anyway, I was in a quiet car with no outside noises so its not like it wouldn't have been able to hear me, these devices are not worth the money look elsewhere or buy a cheap android Tablet or an old iPad (preferably with cellular) or use your phones hotspot and then use that!!
Using an Ipad/Tablet really isn't as great as you might think. Only way to make it usable is using the cellular, but you still wont get the carplay interface plus you will be paying 30 a month which will be more expensive than this headunit in one year.
For the price of the headunit, you really cant get much better dude.
Questions. Can I watch Netflix, prime or any other streaming services on this device?
Doesn't putting this on top the dashboard obstruct your driving view?
Is there a backup camera connection option for this?
I don’t see what makes it worth $249, when there is similar products doing the same thing for $60-$100
It really comes down to your use case if it's worth it. The cheaper models you mention don't have full android functionality. Just android auto. So you can't run apps like RUclips, Spotify, etc. directly from the unit. You have to mirror your phone. This unit has full android, so you can install apps and extend its functionality. Again, you may not need or want that, but some people will and will be willing to pay more for it.
There’s more to it than just the display. There are so many options out there that have different CPUs, RAM, different I/O, different OS, etc.
I tried a couple other cheap ones and then realized they made one with ability to add apps. Atota has one also but its Android 10. I chose this one because it was the only one I found that is running Android 12 and allows me to download apps which was important to me . not just to have a screen
@@LCARSx32seems like a very specific use case, if I want to play RUclips or Netflix in the car, I’m going to mirror my phone as it’s the only of the two with an internet connection. Now if it means you can download movies to it and play them without signal, that might be worth the price of admission.

Agreed 110% people are like « this one’s better, no this one! » but really they’re all the same with different shapes and sizes and always 30fps with ugly branding that nobody likes. They’re not faster in any way shape or form. Maybe they startup quicker, but for me I prefer screen quality over anything. Resolution, Hertz, those are things that are never talked about in these types of videos

Why would you transmit BT audio from iphone to the screen and then back to your car stereo? Two hops rather than the one I use from the iphone to car stereo when using my T3.
Who really needs to play games or watch videos sitting in a car seat? It’s un-necessary functionality in my opinion.
Carpod T3 doesnt allow you to dowload your own apps to the unit, you are stuck with what is on it. carpod has a nice screen but thats it.

Really dislike this device for the price It's way too inconsistent when I try to make phone calls it will go through my car like normal Bluetooth then the next call. I won't hear any dialing and I won't hear anything in the call then the call after that will only go through the head unit and then it will go back to Bluetooth. I've been trying everything and I just can't seem to get it to work right? Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Can i connect my aux speaker for the car into the head set and connect thru the phone blue tooth and it play thru the speaker in the car ?
What kind of cable is needed for the backup camera? Mine (and all others) seem to come with RCA connectors, but these portable head units use more of an aux/headphone-sized connector.
Just got the W901 Plus yesterday. Big issue is that when I connect to Apple Carplay, the display works and I can control the apps but all audio comes through the iPhone. I have tried using different audio outputs etc, nothing works. The volume can also be controlled on the phone which is not possible when using carplay in normal circumstances.
Make suire when you are connecting to it you enable "carplay" within the iphone settings. I did not have this problem

I love your reviews but I still cant really decide.
My priorities are a rear cam, a snappy, responsive and clear display with good resolution, which can do android auto.
Important part is, that it can stream audio via bluethooth to my car speakers, so that I can use the steering wheel controls.
Im totally stuck between the carpuride w903 (I dont know if it can transmit audio via bluethooth for music?), the Eonon P4 and the Lamtto 9,26".
Do you have any other current recommendations which one I should get with my criteria?

Being honest buy a proper head unit and have it installed. I have tried the cheap ones and I have spent more money over the years. Best buying one around 400 bucks or more. Something that has 32gb and min of 4gb of ram. Don't waste your money on cheap knock offs.
These are still too expensive but even worse are the reviews on Amazon for this unit.
For the price, you really cant get much better atm.

Not good mounted to window ir blocking visions. Its to bad these dont connect to car speakers unless the higher dollar ones do but if so one should just get the built in unit's
Ok mr rich American. Most people can't just buy a new car because they want a feature. You can connect these to your car speakers with FM radio, aux or bluetooth. There are also other ways of mounting these without blocking vision.
Literally just plugs into your car’s aux port and plays through the speakers that way

As long as your phone is getting the gps signal, it will work just fine without a gps antenna.

hi, I have a question. When you shut the car's engine off, unplug the keys, leave the vehicle, does it stay turned on? or does it shut down?
it has no battery built in , it will shut down if you shut the car egine off
Will only shut down if your 12v port is ignition port meaning I have 1 12v that only works when car is on and I have another that works off the car battery. Be careful if it’s not an ignition 12v it will stay on and drain your battery
@@bigdmc6459 yeah I was wondering if the device "senses" if there is no activity so it could shut off even if the 12v plug is active. Thank you! This adds a lot of inconvenience to those that have the always-active 12v plugs

Hey I've been binging your videos lately! One information I can't find anywhere is how these work with small windshields. I want to get one for my S2000 but I'm afraid about obstructing visibility. I'm trying to decide between the Lamtto 6.86 and 9.26. Do you have an idea? Thanks!
There are other displays that are older that run both CarPlay and Android Auto, so I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Even my older NavTool interface adds both CarPlay and Android Auto to my 2011 Honda Pilot's factory Nav screen.
Cool, they all do this. You obviously do not undersrtand. This unit is operating as an android headunit so you can access google play store, ect. No other portable headunit can do this
It's not worth that price tag so why not review the cheaper ones?

why not just get a double din car radio unit with apple car play?
There's lots of use cases for these. Some cars have factory amps or integration with factory HVAC controls that make it prohibitively expensive to change the radio. Or, like in my case, they may have a classic vehicle with the original radio and don't want to hack up their pristine dashboard. Other possible uses are for people who don't have the skills necessary to swap a head unit or are just too lazy to. It also lets you move the unit from car to car if you have multiple vehicles or travel often and don't want to be stuck with your rentals crappy radio.
Why would I do all that when I just plug this in and sit it on top of my dash ? New car ? Take it with me, friends car doesn't have for road trip ? Bring my own. Car screen broken ? Don't waste time replacing just plug this in.
some cars cant take a new head unit. or like me I did install a new carplay unit and now I have a near blank screen on my dash. so I am installing one of these to take the place of the old screen and when I need maps I use the big screen. while still using my radio as a radio...basically I wanted bigger screen without covering up vents and such
Definitely do that if you can. But some cars (my 2005 Acura MDX) don’t have double din spots. Instead the stock radio is essentially molded into the dash, all one piece.
I think these are waaaaaaay overpriced for what essentially is a cheapo android tablet 😂

I have read through the comments and it's plain to see many are mixed on this item. I have spent many bucks over the years on cheap head units and ended up buying a built in head unit for my car. It cost 530bucks and it's bloody game changer. I agree it's not that cheap but I can assure you that you will be disappointed if you buy cheap. You will spend more money buying cheap units and in the end you will just end up buying a good unit. Save your money and buy good 1st time. This unit in the video, well It's an overpriced cheap android tablet. For our other car I bought an amazon fire tablet for $20 and bought a car launcher for 4 bucks. A suction mount for 2 bucks and it's bloody fantastic
built in unit will almost always be better, however, most people do not want to spend that money nor want to go through tearing a part their console to replace it.
