This is so true !! instead of chasing Certs you have to decide exactly what you want to do and position yourself by getting the skills you need to be successful certifications are just part of that.
@@ThoughtfulTechyCloud This cloud stuff is very extensive, but good to learn. I actually prefer it over front end security, or software development. I may need some assistance crafting a good resume up for it. Do you mind if I connect with you on LinkedIn?
Hi, Need your guidance . I have 13+ years of experience in development and currently in a technical lead role , I'm all set to upgrade my position so planning to take a cloud architect route. What do you suggest ? Is it fine to prepare for cloud architect role or for a cloud engineer role . Will I be considered for a Sr. Position if I have all the knowledge required ?

Absolutely 🙌
The CompTIA Security+ is $400 so when I heard the Cloud Practitioner was $100 it was a relief🙄
Cloud Practitioner is a bargain in comparison 😃

Take a look at some job descriptions and determine what skill gaps you need to close. Align your experience with the role as best you can.
