From my experiences with ppl who get amputation, its the massive doses of morphine and Ativan that makes them pretty nonchalant. That and many people don't processes the emotions right away.

Could also be the broadly sedentary lifestyle of many people in cities at least nowadays, 50 years or more ago losing an arm was like being blind and 100 years ago it was basically a death sentence but nowadays it's not fun but it's not a huge issue especially with prosthetics

I had a contact slip below my lower lid once. I had an appointment for glasses at the optician area at a Walmart, so I waited and let the nurse working there use a pair of tweezers to pull it out.
      I stick to glasses now.

    • @carsonchambers5617

Bruh it has to be bs. This is from someone who uses contacts religiously, and definitely prefers them over my bottle cap glasses. I’m on the more sensitive side eye wise with not being able to have them in for long periods w/o a little discomfort from them drying out. But wearing/sleeping with them in for that damn long IS IMPOSSIBLE to not notice. They don’t even make contacts that last that long.🤦‍♂️
You’re not even supposed to sleep with them in.
The few times I’ve dozed off with them still in my eyes turn all bloodshot/veiny and I can clearly tell that I’ve left them in. Though that’s partially cause my veins are closer to the outer layer of my eyes. Basically it’s from the lack of oxygen getting to the eyes that they need I think.
lol made this comment before listening to it, exactly what I said about lack of oxygen to the eyes causing blood-shotness of the eyes creating the veins.

You shouldn’t even be sleeping with them in ffs! Like how do you go that long without taking them out??? They don’t even last that long. Longest I can go with them in before they start irritating my eyes from drying out is like half or more of a day. Let alone this person never taking them out.
I did get the lack of oxygen part though, that’s what (I think) causes your eye to get all bloodshot, and the veins to be more pronounced looking. My veins in my eyes are closer to my outer layer so they’re always more veiny looking no matter what though. Definitely gets hella bloodshot if I accidentally doze off with them in lol. Can’t stand my bottle cap glasses so I sure as hell don’t want to give them up.

Sadly the assistant care story isn't so surprising now a days with how much neglect there is. My gran was in one and she would complain about the nurses just standing there looking at their phones. Thankfully for her final days she was in one that was actually very good, like I felt warm and welcome in it and she had a lovely view from a glass door. And what is really sad is the care place she had been before had housed her husband many years ago and it was so nice then.

God the shit that my dad has said he’s seen (and who knows about the stuff he hasn’t told me about) is crazy. A lot of old people popping a blood vessel in their brain while pooping seems to be a recurring thing. I would say the other gnarly story but you don’t sound like that type who probably wants to hear it lol.
Bike crashes are the other gnarly thing, especially the foot pictures from moron women wearing heels, I’m sure you can think of what would happen.🫤🤢
Or normal car crashes. There’s a muscle/vein (I think) that holds the heart up/in place that can sheer off during a crash if your chest is impacted hard enough and in the right spot. Basically you internally bleed out in idk, about a minute or so? So scary shit knowing at that point nothing could really be done, even if there was a first responder right there. Not like you can just rip open someone’s chest right there Indiana Jones style to fix it.

Besides accidents that result in amputation, most people who get an amputation know they will have to have the removal years before that actual amputation. In 6th grade I was diagnosed with Stickler Syndrome Type 1 after finding out my retinas were detaching. I never regained sight in my left eye and knew from a young age that one day I'll have to get it removed. 12th grade it kept getting infected so I opted to just have it taken out than to fight the infections. Other people I have talked with who are also amputees share similar thoughts and reactions although I do not speak for every medical amputee because Ive also seen a lot of people who try to keep their limbs/organs up until the every end. But I think we all know what's coming in the back of our minds even if we don't express our thought.

It was so deep that there couldn't have been more than a couple of inches between the bottom of the 'hole' & his back. As a kid, I was so intrigued by this & he always told me that he was born with a "backward" rib cage. A Penectomy... is surgery removing "Mr. Happy", a man's "Wedding tackle", the meat with two veg.
Though not a doctor, my dad when he worked at a meat packing plant, one time had a coworker get his arm literally destroyed by the injecting machine for hams, as (The co-worker) was a mechanic and the machine slammed on his arm, hundreds of needles and a heavy press slammed on said man's arm, resembled a a deflated circus balloon when the EMTs got him out.
Another time, Dad was driving to work and the route to the plant went by the state mental ward, where a patient escaped, climbed up the hill to the bypass and stood in front of a 18 wheeler.. there was nothing left of said patient after impact.
He also saw someone get sucked through a jet intake while in the service. He told me that's the only thing that horrified him and still haunts him to this day, he said that it looked like someone took gallons of red paint and chunks of hamburger and splattered it down the runway.

Worked in healthcare over 30 years. One of my CNA's neglect a patient for hours. He was comatose. When she went in to do care on him she found him dead. Nurse goes in. I get a call to come in immediately. Get the lowdown. I go in. I have to check him. The smell was so so bad. I knew he had to have been dead for hours before she went in to check him. When I questioned her she of course lied to me & said she did check him every two hours. I had to call the administrator in. She was an RN. She said we gotta call the police. They had to investigate to see if this woman had actually killed him. It was straight up neglect in her & the nurse. They were terminated, prosecuted & of course they lost their licenses. But that smell....Worse I had ever smelled!

Patient here. Went to the clinic due to a rapid growth on my scrotum. Thought it was either a hernia or testicular cancer at first. The clinic doc - and older black man who had a stereotypical outlook at young white men like so was at the time - assumed it was an STD. I revealed I had never had sexual intercourse before so that was impossible. Turned out it was a sebaceous cyst. It was do oddly placed that him trying to lance it may have caused me an accidental vasectomy, which is normally irreversible. So I was taken to the ER to get it lanced. Getting the anesthetic put in was agony, despite being numb from feverishness and sleep deprivation.

God that contact one has to be bs. There’s no way you can go that long with them in and not realize you left them in. Sure my eyes are on the more sensitive side (my blood veins are closer to the outer skin than normal) so if I leave them in for prolonged periods they start to irritate my eyes from drying up. I also get the bloodshot looking veins all over my eyes too. But sleeping with them in???? Hell no, you’re not even supposed to sleep with them in ffs. They tell you that when you first get them, and show you the proper care/process of them. I did totally get the lack of oxygen part, I think that’s what causes the eyes to get all bloodshot. Just her level of bloodshot must have been A LOT more extreme. Even maybe full on bloodshot rather than just seeing the veins being more pronounced.
Also you can tell who hasn’t done their damn research about butt stuff before partaking in kinky stuff lol. ONLY use flared toys people! Nothing else.
As for my, or in this case my dad’s worst things he’s told me about (retired firefighter/paramedic) one was an old lady who fell and hit her face on something and it peeled her skin of her face back…… Yeah, definitely nightmare fuel. Others are probably seeing horrific crashes, kids dying (really fucks with you), and others I’m probably forgetting. The pictures of idiot women wearing heels while riding a motorcycle is gnarly AF. Degloves the foot, and all the toes. Crashes are scary after finding out there’s a muscle/vein that holds the heart up/in place that can sheer off from a severe impact or force. It causes you to internally bleed out in like maybe a minute I think. Pretty much sol at that point as there’s no way even if a doctor or medic nearby that they would just cut you open and perform open heart surgery on a street.
This is why I’m a firm believer in firefighter/paramedic, as well as police and emt’s mental health, and why it needs to be taken more seriously. It’s finally just now being focused on, and is being taken seriously, at least in some states/departments.
I don’t doubt the nursing home story. Already have heard of terrible shit that happens in them of being neglected. One story was from a firefighter who was about to loose it at a nurse who basically let a patient die because she was a moron and would constantly forget to check up on the person. Can’t remember what happened afterwards, pretty sure it was from Reddit.
Something I learned about withdrawals from I think meth is that it can literally rot your teeth out. Crazy shit. Was talking to a girl about it who said her friend (who I guess is a knockout looks wise, though this probably doesn’t help her self esteem) had her whole top teeth section rot out. I guess it somehow eats away at the roots I’m guessing from the inside, and by the time they fall out it’s too late. Don’t do drugs kids!

My son when he was five somehow cut his dong on the toilet seat and had to be taken to the hospital. The doctor said its rare but happens so now we sand our toilet seats as a precaution

Don’t remember if this is the proper video, but the guy with the cantaloupe up, wrecked up, how did you even get that up there to begin with? I’ve met a cantaloupe for, and please tell me what a pervert, or being a pervert has to do with that.
