I saw this film, at the pictures, I was about 12yrs old. I have always remembered it. And to this day I sing the song......just wonderful. Thank you for posting
I was in Bovey Tracey, south Devon, yesterday. (To watch some local cricket, Bovey Tracey CC v Sidmouth CC). When I arrived and explored the town, I thought of this little gem of a film, Run Wild, Run Free. It was filmed in the area, Newton Abbot only a short distance away 👍
My mom and another divorced parent took me and his son out to see this in a drive-in theater when I was about 7. His son conked out almost immediately. I drifted in and out (I thought Mark Lester was adorable) but there is a part where, as I seem to recall, a Death figure suddenly appears full frame and it scared the bejesus out of me. I haven't seen the film since but I may watch the whole film just to see if the jump scare is as frightening as I recall. In my memory it's like the now infamous "The Exorcist" jump scare when Father Karras sees his mother in the subway entrance in his dream and the scary face appears for about 4 frames and disappears, but this one I recall as being longer and less abstract. I'll have to watch it when I feel up to either being highly disappointed or extremely unnerved.
There needs to be a tv series of this movie.

やっと辿り着きました💞🙏でも吹き替えや字幕付きではないので、とてもとても残念でした。懐かしくてたまらないです。🎦

A haunting film about a boy with selective mutism living in beautiful Dartmoor in England
Classic film!
I was 13 years old.
Never seen this. Sounds interesting. Even though I was born in 1991. Sounds like another Victor of Aveyron.
My fave film
The British version of the Rugrats.
