Of the billion videos on RUclips this pops up in my feed, so I’m stealing it to put on my department website because I’m tired of explaining what to do. Been a long time since the Conference in Boston... I taught the Bike medic program.
Hello. I just got an email that the deadline is today to re certify, however my license doesn’t expire until the end of the this year. I’m confused on what i’m suppose to do here.
You may be looking at two different certification dates. NREMT and state licensures are two separate renewal processes. For example, it is possible to keep a state license and not renew a NREMT certification in some states. NREMT renewal deadlines are always the end of March, where as State deadlines vary. For example, Kentucky is usually in December, but NREMT is March. If you wish to keep your NREMT certification, you would need to submit your application on the NREMT website by the end of today.
@2:49 for the "Course Location" section, i'm confused on what is the correct location to input - is it what the certificate pdf says, or is it where i'm physically (online) taking the course? Example: Taking a few online courses (all CAPCE approved) on CareerCert and when I go to print the PDF, it states an address of Frisco, Texas at the bottom. But I took the course on my computer at home in Franklin, Tennessee. So which location is the correct one to put for this section? Thank you in advance for your help!!
Great question! I had my suspicions, but wanted to confirm with NREMT first before I told you wrong. Per NREMT: "If the course was online, they would use the location they were in when they took the course. If the city they were in is not listed in the drop down menu, they will choose the next closest city." Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Hello! For recertification/renewal of the NREMT, no fingerprinting is required. State certification/recertification processes may differ on this so be sure to check with your state department on their recertification requirements.

Where do we find these courses?
You have to manually input the courses you attend for continued education. You can search for CAPCE accredited courses here: capce.org/Home/FindCourse

It’s not letting me use my college credits to recert the national portion. Am I missing something?
