Insurance is going to be the nail in the coffin here. I’ve been in FL the last 22 years (total of about 28 years counting my prior time) for work and really want to retire elsewhere.
Hello, how are you doing today ?
I’m going to say the last hurricane had something to do with it. 👋
🤦🏽♂️ Why do outsiders think Hurricanes are A. A every year occurrence in Florida (There NOT. We only get em like once every 4-5 years. And most of them that hit Florida are no different than a typical rainy/stormy day) and B. Scary. Unless if you’re not on the coast, Hurricanes is nothing smh 🤦🏽♂️. We only had 3 Major Hurricanes since 2000 ( Charlie in 04, Irma in 17, Ian this year). It’s NOT a every year, all year round occurrence like outsiders FOR WHAT REASON i have no idea believe 🤦🏽♂️
New roof, new ac, $3031 for a 1000 sq foot home in a lower end neighborhood. Crazy
WEST PALM BEACH IS ALL DRUGS AND CRIME., Orlando and Tampa is so packed with too much traffic and too many tourists. Anywhere near the beach is too expensive with Florida's low wages. The summers are too hot and the insect and critters are overwhelming. Home taxes are getting higher every year and with the governor supporting the insurance companies, homeowners don't stand a chance on getting any decreases. And then there are the hurricanes which can make you homeless and I guarantee the insurance companies will NOT PAY for you to get a new house or even a fraction of a replacement cost.
are you hot? come to california and the prices will FLOOR you
I live in West Palm Beach, please make sure that all the "northerners" read your post.
Desantis will keep intelligent people out!
Things to keep in mind for our retirees! Thanks!
Lol. People actually think Florida is expensive compared to the rest of the country? This isn't a Florida problem.
Florida is expensive because prices match NY or California but wages are lowest in the country. Which means it literally is more expensive than anywhere else in comparison
@@WhoToldYouThis”lowest in the nation”
Prior to 2002, you can get a brand new 3-4 bedroom home in a gated community in South Florida for around $160-200,000. By 2007, that same house was selling for $650,000
Is getting crowded and crime is rising.
Florida is overrated and gimmicky asf. The Carolinas just makes more sense.
I love it. I saved my entire career so I could choose where I wanted to retire. Not everyone can live where they want to, just like I can’t afford a yacht or my own plane.
Throwing out a dollar amount needed to retire is a totally useless figure.
Miami people are paying $2to6 thousand dollars.
Hello ✋, how are you doing today ?
Getting over population ..
😢 sad.
To the contrary! It is still cheaper and a quality life bonus!
Florida is too nice to be only for old retired ppl
its because the beaches are so nice the older people are getting priced out from the billionaires
How can anyone gain any traction on their retirement savings when the stock market has been awful under Biden? I'm ashamed to admit I voted for him. I won't make that mistake again.
Yaronnydumstististhereasonwhy!
Florida would be the next California in population possibly overtaking Texas, but politically very republican
*Despite the economic downturn,I'm so happy☺️. I have been earning $ 60,200 returns from my $7,000 investment every 13days.....*
oh TODAY. your left wing activism is nauseating
