"On one stave, for a small instrument, the man [Bach] writes a whole world of the deepest thoughts and most powerful feelings. If I imagined that I could have created, even conceived the piece, I am quite certain that the excess of excitement and earth-shattering experience would have driven me out of my mind."
Johannes Brahms in a letter to Clara Schumann
Project idea and vision: Susanna Krivulis
This project is created to honour one of the finest musicians of our time Dmitri Berlinsky on his birthday.

Bravo!!! Beautiful ❤️😍🤩❤️🌹💃🕺❤️
Bravo Dima and dancers!
Eine ausdrucksstarke Ausführung mit wunderschöner Präsenz und Leichtigkeit getanzt
Absolutely perfect, thank you for sharing! ❤❤❤
I try to find words for something over words: Top of the Art. A very, very good version of the (most famous) Chaconne - a very, very good version from Michael and Elvira in their best form (in highest level techniques in heavyiest slow motion in precision). An adoration to the geniuos of Bach. An adoration to Tango. The highest level of Aisthesie (and also beautiful colors of fashion). This is far beyond usual Tango.
True that - it was a challenge to dance to it.
¡Excelente! ¡Bravo! ¡Gracias! ¡Feliz otoño, qué regalo para la nueva estación!
Bellisimo, 👏👏👏👏👏👏 very beautiful, the whole lot.. ❤❤❤
Sacrilegious!
Little spirit. Pauvre con
Wonderful idea... Beautiful dancing. But it seems to me that interpretating Bach with this danceform needs further development and understanding. In tango it is so important to respect the phrase and the character, and I miss that in this interpretation. The phrase is less obvious than in tango music, but it is certainly there. And as the music is essentially Bass theme with variations, it would be nice to see that in the choreo. And ... I miss the second half of the music!! It stops halfway, and misses that beautiful opportunity for a full change of scenery in the next few seconds of the music. Michael, I am an admiror of your art (and myself a violinist). I hope to see the next version of the ciacconna in the future, looking forward to it! (If you ever come to NL and want to perform with live music... I'll be your man)
Wonderful comments really! Considering this was improvised and we were not very familiar with the piece - it was quite a challenge! It deserves a second chance!
There is so much merit in @tijmen7953 comments. It warms my soul to hear from our dancers it "deserves a second chance". I am looking forward to be part of that journey. As Joshua Bell has said the Chaconne is "not just one of the greatest pieces of music ever written, but one of the greatest achievements of any man in history. It's a spiritually powerful piece, emotionally powerful, structurally perfect." However, guilty as charged, and to dancers' defense, I requested 100% improvisation, providing, purposely, very general and limited guideline. The goal was for Misha and Elvira to have a complete freedom to fully express themselves without any predetermined constraints. They have done an incredible job "painting" this masterpiece with precise moves, yet elegant, light and ethereal at the same time. Every move is effortless. Every turn is perfection. Elvira'a feet are flawless and true feast for the eyes. One can only gasp for air as dance begins. Goosebumps was my first reaction. Looking forward to future collaborations.
Пошловато выпендрились👏😹😄😂😅🤣💐
А ты кто? Троль 👹на стажировке? Подучиться надо бы тебе 😈😹🫶
it is fresh idea , Tango & Bach, , but, allowed me to say that BWV 1014 Chaconne , is not fit the strong accented Tango, J .S. Bach did not for T.. Chaconne dance more as Baroque ..
