The real question is what The Reactionary's relationship with the lizards are. Does she consider the lizards family, friends, or comrades? Or does she just consider them tools/weapons?
you will find out when the full series "flower of ashes" finish i did post 2 comic pics yesterday but it haven't get to the lizard part yet

This animation is incredible! The first-person shots, the climax with the Reactionary destroying the entire village, the scene with the Wanderer falling, it’s all so cinematic, and I definitely wasn’t expecting movie-trailer quality for an oc introduction
The Wanderer is also a mod that takes place before spearmaster’s campaign and has the ability to slow down time to double jump

The tale that just unfolded before me has left me dumbfounded, great stuff!! Never seen an evil slugcat like this before.

I reckon the reactionary once had a scuffle with some fellow slugcats and that caused them to fight and fled/be exiled by the colony and now they basically plot revenge and seems to even have tamed some lizards to help them in their conquest for revenge. So did the reactionarie’s powers come from an event that happened or was it like artificer in that some of the slugcats at the time evolved to have fire like abilities?
I hate how once a rw video is abt an oc they never get views, but videos with Canon scugs get so much, it's stupid

It's harder to be invested in a 1-2 min story than in the full-game story. I've seen several rw ocs (I'm not talking about this particular video, I enjoyed it actually) and, even if I tried, I couldn't get their story. Yes, the ocs looked great, unique, they seemed like the characters that could have nice stories, but all the videos were... just about the ocs out of context?
I've seen original animations that can tell a detailed story in few minutes, but it requires some script writing abilities (?)
Long story short, it's pretty difficult to be interested in character without the story (or at least a part of it) If there's a story - I'm all in!
Ps if you now some rw ocs with the stories, I would appreciate if you named some.
It was as if I had watched a good movie... I actually felt anxious from the falling scene :(

I was thinking about why The Reactionary would hate slugcats enough to kill an entire village, but then I read the description, which rendered my overthinking pointless.
But either way, this animation is very good. It's simple, yet really well done.
In the comic reactionary has his scar when he meets wanderer, and still seems kind there.
So its most likely a frankenstein moment; keep calling a kind person a monster, and eventually, theyll belive it, and start acting like it.
So its not just the scar in its own.

To go from "friendly" to "Genocidal monster" from just an injury seems like a pretty massive jump; Artificer is a good example of this since both her children were murdered by scavs and left her without an eye. So it may be a good idea to put more into why The Reactionary went full murder-mode.
But other than that I think this is pretty good! I wonder what adventures the Wanderer and their pup will get into?
