You can mod the nerf fortnite auto rifle to make a pretty good looking bolt pistol. All you have to do is take the back of the uellow part of the stock off and replace the muzzle on the front with the piece of I think 1" PVC? It isn't immediately replica quality but it gets you very close

Dude, absolutely! I would actually love the ion blaster! Or a FUSION CANNON! one of the coolest and most ridiculous weapons in all of Transformers! Megatron as a gun again would be cool too. I remember eons ago around the first live action movie, in 2007 or so, there were nerf blasters that actually transformed. I purchased the Halo Needler because I'm a Halo fanboy, I personally like it, though. I also ordered the Alien M41 because I like the Alien movies and collect Nerf, I preorder the Star Trek one because I love Star Trek and not Star Wars. I will admit I did preorder the Jinx one because I collect Nerf and figure it's probably going to be a collector piece. Lol, I even have a Chalkline Nerf jacket. You would really be surprised how many people only buy what they see on store shelves and never check out online stores. They have know clue this stuff even got released, managers at Gamestop that I know only know about products Gamestop has, and if they don't get it, they don't know about it.
I saw someone retweet this and I was excited at first. Then they showed how it functioned and my excitement rapidly declined. They didn't show the price on the tweet either, so now I know how much it is, I want it even less.
I know it's a stretch, buuuut i think the reason why its a 3 Dart Shotgun is because of one of the items in game really, and i mean really, synergizes with Jinx. Which is Runan's Hurricane, the item has a special ability to not only give Jinx increased Attack Speed, but you can fire 2 more projectiles with added physical damage if you're facing a mob of minions. So yeah, its a small nod to Jinx mains that they could fire 3 shots from Fishbones like in the game. Its not the best reason. But maybe there's something that's going behind closed doors.
I'm considering it, I loved arcane and loved jinx in arcane. However I've never played LoL and probably never will. I'll see how I'm feeling in like a week.

I got this thing for Christmas this year, surprisingly it does have a lot more value than it seemed to before It’s massive, dense, comfortable, and it surprisingly punches really hard, like probably close to low-mid 80s
I have never bought a NERF Gun as an adult and I am not into the hobby, however, I do plan on buyting this because its so cool and unique. So I vote yes and I just typed the gun name into youtube and your channel poped up.I'm not even a casual fan of NERF but they have have been putting out cool stuff latley. I feel like the LMTD line is a way for them to spend a little bit more on R&D/tooling to develop blasters that only need a couple spray paint cans to become a respectable prop replica, then using that as an excuse to charge you a ridiculous amount of money. They got that pretty right on the M41-A pulse rifle and people are spending 2x retail to get them, but screwed that up royally on the phase pulse rifle (seriously, Star Wars? Combining two James Cameron weapon names together?) and the market is flooded with sub-retail examples that nobody is buying. Unless they do a non-Borg version of the phaser rifle, I see it going the way of Mando's blaster and just collecting dust. ALL THIS TO SAY: At least it seems to aesthetically match the game version? That's some kinda plus :/
I think it does make sense why they would make a blaster for League of Legends. It is MASSIVELY big right now (over 100 million players monthly), considering the release of Arcane also makes Jinx probably a mainstream character. Literally, even though I rarely play LoL, a lot of people I know and friends started playing because of the show. Considering also the young demographic League has and that Nerf is geared towards younger people as well, then this pretty is a good venture for them in concept. However, I completely agree that the price is bonkers. 170$ is too much for how little it gives. Like the closest comparison is the Soldier 76 Rival Blaster, and that came with a mask if remember. This doesn't have enough to be worth that price, which is sad because I think if they sold it a lower price it would do really well.
The only blaster I would pay that much for from Nerf is the Prometheus. That was blaster was worth the original $200 price tag, in fact I bought two. But I wouldn't pay that much for anything else at least from Hasbro!
Absolutely agree. Hell, I'm the target market for the Trek set, and I'm NOT getting it. I was able to get a 3d printed phaser rifle and a pistol for less than what NERF is charging. Sure, they don't shoot darts or have lights/sounds, but I can actually take them to conventions! There's no fugly-ass "assimilation" panels!
What I love about this too is that Nerf actually made a FULL Overwatch line with custom shells for each blaster (remember those blasters?) and (in my opinion) sold them for a reasonable price and you could get them that day at GameStop or something. Hasbro is killing their biggest franchises and it's sad to see.
I do play League, the first champ I ever played was Jinx, she is still my main to this day with over 1 million mastery points and I was super excited about hearing about this. But damn, that price tag though.

I heard Hasbro is putting out a Robocop jolt for $200 comes with 1 proprietary dart, and is blue/orange says elite on the side and looks exactly like the normal jolt BUT has a Robocop tm on the 1 dart head of the 1 proprietary dart it comes with. Additional proprietary darts not sold separately.

I get your frustration as you will probably have to cave in and buy this thing, but in my opinion, Nerf is willing to gamble that they can create something that people will pay +$150 dollars for. From a nerf collectors standpoint, it sucks to have to shell out this kind of money in order for your collection to be complete. The price tag is simply the law of supply and demand / Capitolism. Without these laws of supply and demand / capitolism, we would still be plinking around with cheap flea market suction cup flingers that could only shoot 5 feet.
My only hope for anybody who loves this blaster because of its origin and wants to make a usable version is that somebody will make a print file for a new drum that fires a sequence of single Mega XL's instead of 3 dart blasts, Not quite a rocket but you at least get multiple fires of a large format projectile

Damn how the mighty have fallen, I remember playing with nerf blasters back when n-strike and vortex was a thing, not taking about elite, but the real OG's. I stopped when elite n-strike came out since it was essentially a reskin of the original series with mechanical improvements. But now, newer though they could have gotten so low...
I agree with the issue of the mechanism not being unique. The Gjallarhorn makes sense to have 3 mega darts instead of a single rocket, as thematically it releases tracking missles on impact. so the three darts are implied to refer to that. but assuming this rocket launcher is just that, a rocket launcher. then three NORMAL darts for six shots is completely unacceptable. it should have been a three shot rotating drum for the rockets if they wanted relatively the same profile. hell, even a single rocket would have been better than what they put into it.
So i pre-ordered the Destiny Gjallarhorn, Because i have faith that it will be one of the few exceptions to being a shite cash grab. Its a unique blaster, with a unique function, and it looks really pretty. I dont play LoL, but even so i would have considered the Rocket Shark thingy, had it not been a dressed up Judge. Had it even been a mega blaster, maybe, Mega XL? i would have heavily considered it.
what i would want out of nerf limited is a collaboration with World of Tanks and just make a breach fed, shoulder mounted (or even, dare i say it, STATIONARY MOUNTED) missile launcher that looks like an actual tank breach. even if it sucked (which it probably will) i would still pay like $150 - $200 for it

Hey Walcom, I’m someone that likes Jinx and LoL (Fan base is… debatable on how toxic it is) As someone who likes Jinx and Arcane and LoL in general, I was excited to potentially buy this blaster second hand… but now, seeing that price tag, I am highly disappointed in Hasbro… INCLUDING the news you shared about the Magic cards. They need to get their act together and perform what we should expect them to be, regardless of their “kid targeted” products. If the limited line is to just steal from our wallets (Looking at the Mandalorian and the current LoL blasters) then they should put the best effort into them as much as ANY good blaster that they do.

IDK I think it's a reasonable move to have it a shotgun because then it can still have the aesthetic of the rocket warhead (not just a generic foam rocket). They could have had the warhead from the game be a special demolisher missile though at the expense of people potentially losing them and it probably not looking as good.

The M41A was an expensive Turbine reshell with sound effects and a decent ammo counter. It’s a fun blaster. This boi right here…it’s an expensive Judge with a cool shell. I love shotguns. A) I do not nor have I ever played League of legends. I also have no intention ever playing League of Legends. B) While I have no problem spending 170 (Lord knows, I've spend at least that much on my spectrum with banned blaster cages and other mods) on a blaster but it would actually have to be of good quality. Most of the bigbox stores around me are always out of stock of MTG items, except some that have leftover Commander boxes. It would be really cool to have a replica of Jinx's rocket launcher, but my limit is $100. Beyond that, I could commission someone to make a better, more faithful prop.

Hasbro is making Limited release items making them rare and valuable. In hopes they're worth something some day. Like mtg cards. Except blasters. It's a "collectors" item. Nothing else. Compared to the jinx blaster-ish thing the nerf needler was a better deal. With lots of electronics, for a 100 bucks. Hoping that Hasbro will release something similar in the future, even when butchering something licensed.
I don't buy most of Hasbro's stuff cause I don't care about most of it, but Hasbro has the master license for Ghostbusters which I do not care a whole lot about and they're not doing much with this IP since they got it. they made a few things for GB: afterlife and that was it. I'm waiting for my Haslab Proton pack to arrive after I preordered it. but because they are waiting for a new movie or TV show to come out, they're sitting on the IP not doing jack with it. I wished they did a nerf limited blaster that's ghostbusters themed, that way we'll get another cool GB collectible and they can use the IP they got from Sony.

I have stopped playing the game (4 - 5 months going strong) but I'm seriously considering picking it up myself. jinx wasnt even my main but damn it looks clean and if it looks anything like how accurate the needler looks I'll be have to have a little something to remember all the good times I had on summoners rift in among the time when the jinx player rushed mid trying to wrack up kills and blame me because I wasn't helping them by putting myself in a situation where I would most likely die.
I like the concept of this thing -- a less unwieldy multi-firing shotgun. The shark aesthetic is pretty over the top, and the shark fin looks un-ergonomic. But its concept is cool. The price point for sure isnt worth it though

What I love about this too is that Nerf actually made a FULL Overwatch line with custom shells for each blaster (remember those blasters?) and (in my opinion) sold them for a reasonable price and you could get them that day at GameStop or something. Hasbro is killing their biggest franchises and it's sad to see.

I do play League, the first champ I ever played was Jinx, she is still my main to this day with over 1 million mastery points and I was super excited about hearing about this. But damn, that price tag though.

I have a question. If I had a nerf gun that shot a mega dart at 100 fps, and I stuck an elite dart in there (If it were to actually shoot it) how many fps would that elite dart shoot at?
I heard Hasbro is putting out a Robocop jolt for $200 comes with 1 proprietary dart, and is blue/orange says elite on the side and looks exactly like the normal jolt BUT has a Robocop tm on the 1 dart head of the 1 proprietary dart it comes with. Additional proprietary darts not sold separately.

I get your frustration as you will probably have to cave in and buy this thing, but in my opinion, Nerf is willing to gamble that they can create something that people will pay +$150 dollars for. From a nerf collectors standpoint, it sucks to have to shell out this kind of money in order for your collection to be complete. The price tag is simply the law of supply and demand / Capitolism. Without these laws of supply and demand / capitolism, we would still be plinking around with cheap flea market suction cup flingers that could only shoot 5 feet.

My only hope for anybody who loves this blaster because of its origin and wants to make a usable version is that somebody will make a print file for a new drum that fires a sequence of single Mega XL's instead of 3 dart blasts, Not quite a rocket but you at least get multiple fires of a large format projectile

Damn how the mighty have fallen, I remember playing with nerf blasters back when n-strike and vortex was a thing, not taking about elite, but the real OG's. I stopped when elite n-strike came out since it was essentially a reskin of the original series with mechanical improvements.
But now, newer though they could have gotten so low...
I agree with the issue of the mechanism not being unique. The Gjallarhorn makes sense to have 3 mega darts instead of a single rocket, as thematically it releases tracking missles on impact. so the three darts are implied to refer to that. but assuming this rocket launcher is just that, a rocket launcher. then three NORMAL darts for six shots is completely unacceptable. it should have been a three shot rotating drum for the rockets if they wanted relatively the same profile. hell, even a single rocket would have been better than what they put into it.

So i pre-ordered the Destiny Gjallarhorn, Because i have faith that it will be one of the few exceptions to being a shite cash grab. Its a unique blaster, with a unique function, and it looks really pretty. I dont play LoL, but even so i would have considered the Rocket Shark thingy, had it not been a dressed up Judge. Had it even been a mega blaster, maybe, Mega XL? i would have heavily considered it.
what i would want out of nerf limited is a collaboration with World of Tanks and just make a breach fed, shoulder mounted (or even, dare i say it, STATIONARY MOUNTED) missile launcher that looks like an actual tank breach. even if it sucked (which it probably will) i would still pay like $150 - $200 for it

I used to play LoL, I only played my fave characters and nothing else, I mained Garen, and I think this gun would only be good if it had a switching gimmick like Jinx's actual gun, AKA firing a 3-shot burst (although I assume this is fine and close enough even tho it's supposed to be a machine gun), and can change into a rocket launcher... And would that be worth 170 USD? I dunno, but this is just a cool shell.

As someone who likes Jinx and Arcane and LoL in general, I was excited to potentially buy this blaster second hand… but now, seeing that price tag, I am highly disappointed in Hasbro… INCLUDING the news you shared about the Magic cards. They need to get their act together and perform what we should expect them to be, regardless of their “kid targeted” products.
If the limited line is to just steal from our wallets (Looking at the Mandalorian and the current LoL blasters) then they should put the best effort into them as much as ANY good blaster that they do.
Hasbro definitely taking some inspiration from P-bandai's business model and doesn't know how that worked

So I have this launcher and it’s pretty nice. All the points you made are very valid, however it is very nice and cool for LOL collectors, and even cosplayers! Once again, your point is very valid, and the price is quite high
IDK I think it's a reasonable move to have it a shotgun because then it can still have the aesthetic of the rocket warhead (not just a generic foam rocket). They could have had the warhead from the game be a special demolisher missile though at the expense of people potentially losing them and it probably not looking as good.
If hasbro goes out of business maybe dartzone can buy all their licenses and make blasters that shoot as well as they look.

The M41A was an expensive Turbine reshell with sound effects and a decent ammo counter. It’s a fun blaster. This boi right here…it’s an expensive Judge with a cool shell. I love shotguns. Will the blaster be fun? Probably. But…

A) I do not nor have I ever played League of legends. I also have no intention ever playing League of Legends.
B) While I have no problem spending 170 (Lord knows, I've spend at least that much on my spectrum with banned blaster cages and other mods) on a blaster but it would actually have to be of good quality. In short, No.

Most of the bigbox stores around me are always out of stock of MTG items, except some that have leftover Commander boxes. It would be really cool to have a replica of Jinx's rocket launcher, but my limit is $100. Beyond that, I could commission someone to make a better, more faithful prop.
Wouldn't the hype behind it be because of the recent animated adaptation? Different fans may still want this. Though idk how often she used the weapon in the show, I haven't watched it.

Compared to the jinx blaster-ish thing the nerf needler was a better deal. With lots of electronics, for a 100 bucks. Hoping that Hasbro will release something similar in the future, even when butchering something licensed.
I don't buy most of Hasbro's stuff cause I don't care about most of it, but Hasbro has the master license for Ghostbusters which I do not care a whole lot about and they're not doing much with this IP since they got it. they made a few things for GB: afterlife and that was it. I'm waiting for my Haslab Proton pack to arrive after I preordered it. but because they are waiting for a new movie or TV show to come out, they're sitting on the IP not doing jack with it. I wished they did a nerf limited blaster that's ghostbusters themed, that way we'll get another cool GB collectible and they can use the IP they got from Sony.

I have stopped playing the game (4 - 5 months going strong) but I'm seriously considering picking it up myself. jinx wasnt even my main but damn it looks clean and if it looks anything like how accurate the needler looks I'll be have to have a little something to remember all the good times I had on summoners rift in among the time when the jinx player rushed mid trying to wrack up kills and blame me because I wasn't helping them by putting myself in a situation where I would most likely die.

I like the concept of this thing -- a less unwieldy multi-firing shotgun. The shark aesthetic is pretty over the top, and the shark fin looks un-ergonomic. But its concept is cool. The price point for sure isnt worth it though
