I have to set a low bar for my family because each and every one of these things has happened at some point in my 60 years of life.
Holy shit, they've happened to me too and I'm 32. Except the death technically happened 1 day before Christmas. But close enough. 🤷 Hope none of them happened (or happen, since we aren't done yet) for you this year. 💕
Hey Donut, i understand you try to cover most of the big stories and events that happen... that being said, were you planning on covering the shooting that happened up in Lewiston, Maine? I remember you doing the video on Uvalde, you did an excellent job explaining the things that happened. Was just curious.
The corporate media is nothing more than propaganda today unfortunately. Unfortunately the media has blood all over their hands because they refuse to report all the facts and instead create narratives to fit their agenda.
Agreed, too bad most or all are too busy trying to be the first to say something about whatever event. Catch phrases like, "(insert name) exclusive" or "You heard it hear first", are really painful. Oh, and "We reached out to (insert person/organization), but no response/answer"....maybe things are still under investigation because it JUST happened. I believe in transparency, but let people figure out the details before unintentionally fanning the fire on incomplete information. Way too many people are more than ready to place blame, ridicule, and vent their anger with only 5% of the story.
It amazes me that these cities that have the most strict gun laws fail to keep them out of the criminals hands. Who could have guessed criminals don’t follow laws 😮🤦♂️
That story is the precise reason why I have a hard and fast rule about drinking with coworkers and also attending company functions. I simply don't do them.
12:17 I like how he honors the cops that were lost in shootouts or other crime scenes, but meanwhile for the criminals that were lost in a shootout/scene:
This video proves how oblivious people are to threats. People are so used to being in front of their TV that when a real life situation happens they're not ready for it
Nah, how intentionally ignorant. Look up Alison Russo. She was an FDNY medic who was stabbed to death while on duty. She was on a sidewalk in broad daylight and if you ever see the video countless people just walk right on by while she’s actively being stabbed. They don’t even try to dodge the situation, they just walk right on by her and don’t intervene or call it in. They’re not oblivious, they just don’t care.
@@casadilla111That's more commonly referred to as the bystander effect. They assume someone has already called it in or something like that so they do nothing. It's a sad thing to see.
@@roguefullmetal2669 Depends. Additional research conducted in the UK, the Netherlands and South Africa actually contradicted the original study by surveying real-life CCTV footage, during which 90% of bystanders intervened and argued the opposite, that is an increased presence increases the likelihood that SOMEONE will intervene even with the reduced probability of each individual responding. There’s some speculation that the original bystander effect study was flawed in its interpretation of data and may have even influenced the data altogether. Would be interested in further research myself.
I like how it sounds like the caller and the 911 Operator are gossiping about it like friends. "Yo. It's going down out therrrre." "Do they have him or are they shooting at him?! Talk to me (sir)!" 😭😭
People really don’t ever expect or anticipate being in emergency situations and it’s entirely detrimental to their lives. The sheer panic and overwhelming fear of being in a life or death situation and not knowing what to do will make you change your philosophy on life.
I have a CCW in NYS (not city). It took a year over a hundred bucks, a class 4 letters of recommendation and I had to write a letter to a judge explaining why I needed it.
Considering how quick some of these encounters go down after stepping out of a squad car, and the natural instinct to duck behind your door for cover it really is amazing they haven’t made it standard to at least line the inside of the doors with Kevlar or something.
That's... actually a really good idea. Can't be much more expensive than a lot of things they buy, and they are forced to use them for concealment a lot. That would be like having a built in shield in your car. I was going to say that would encourage officers to stay with the car, but if it gives them an effective shield, why not? As a bonus it would protect from shots from the side, and they would have decent protection from all frontal quarters while in the car, as long as they ducked down. Hell, since they aren't carrying it you could just use steel plate without adding ridiculously to the weight of the car. I am for it.
It would be rather expensive to do it properly. And even when done best, it likely would rip and tear away from where it's supposed to be in just a couple of shots, mitigating its effectiveness. Steel plates would be a lot better armor, but that would add a lot of extra weight. And cop cars already have a lot of extra weight to the point it's standard issue to fit them with stiffer suspension just to be able to drive em effectively.
@@justforever96 surely they have something not to heavy that can stop small caliber rounds. The officers usually have to abandon their vehicle then are pinned down behind it.
I love your vids Donut keep up the great work! Your vids are some of the best with how impartial you are. I wish you and your family the best of luck in life!
Average cop spends just 4% of their entire career dealing with violent crime. Oil worker, loggers, Steele workers, general road construction, and so on are far more dangerous. Crime is down overall over 4% a year in the US. Like 18% lower then 2018 today. Factor in the insane job security, inflation matched pay ect, seems like a great time to be one.
I thought maybe the bystander would be like frozen in fear, not knowing or being able to move in case it escalates. But seeing her start waving down the cops AND standing there until the shooting starting made my jaw drop and contract an aneurysm due to sheer stupidity.
The fact that Donut was able to utter the line "...Baja Blasting out someone's back" while keeping a 100% straight face is just god-tier sh-[QUACK] right there.

So it's cool to box as long as no one goes to the hospital. Got it.
@@serpentinefire921 yep
Tell me more.
I cant help but be curious, especially about the one where someone died. How did that happen?? was anybody else hurt?
Holy shit, they've happened to me too and I'm 32. Except the death technically happened 1 day before Christmas. But close enough. 🤷
Hope none of them happened (or happen, since we aren't done yet) for you this year. 💕
As someone who did not have the Taco Bell story in my life, I can confirm that is was a necessary thing to hear about.
I second that.
Hey Donut, i understand you try to cover most of the big stories and events that happen... that being said, were you planning on covering the shooting that happened up in Lewiston, Maine? I remember you doing the video on Uvalde, you did an excellent job explaining the things that happened. Was just curious.
“In the end the suspect ended up living 😳”
“Just kidding, he got put in the forever box 😎”

Imagine if all reporting media had the values to get more information before setting up a narrative. How many riots and deaths would be prevented?
Doubt that'd stop a lot of the recent riots...
they don't care, they just see dollar signs.
Luckily, we will never find out.
Thank you for a good content
I absolutely needed that Baja Blast of a story in my life, thank you Donut for your service

It amazes me that these cities that have the most strict gun laws fail to keep them out of the criminals hands. Who could have guessed criminals don’t follow laws 😮🤦♂️
crazy that the buildings where the most people die are hospitals! hospitals clearly fail at saving lives!

It was the “OH DAMNIT! SHOTS FIRED!” That got me
That story is the precise reason why I have a hard and fast rule about drinking with coworkers and also attending company functions. I simply don't do them.
But apparently you're missing out on a lot of fun, at least if you work at Taco Bell.
Man, sounds like I need to apply to Taco Bell ASAP.
Thank you for clicking the taco bell story you are so right. I needed it😭
12:17 I like how he honors the cops that were lost in shootouts or other crime scenes, but meanwhile for the criminals that were lost in a shootout/scene:
This video proves how oblivious people are to threats. People are so used to being in front of their TV that when a real life situation happens they're not ready for it
NYC is zombieland
Nah, how intentionally ignorant. Look up Alison Russo. She was an FDNY medic who was stabbed to death while on duty. She was on a sidewalk in broad daylight and if you ever see the video countless people just walk right on by while she’s actively being stabbed. They don’t even try to dodge the situation, they just walk right on by her and don’t intervene or call it in. They’re not oblivious, they just don’t care.
@@casadilla111 I'm going to check it out, thanks for the heads up
@@casadilla111That's more commonly referred to as the bystander effect.
"Yo. It's going down out therrrre."
"Do they have him or are they shooting at him?! Talk to me (sir)!"

Donut has the most creative insults. I love it
I like how less violent stories get intertwined in the video, it lessens the “trauma” load a video like this might or might not invoke :)
If videos on the internet traumatize you, perhaps you don't belong on the internet?

You should do a breakdown of the Cooks Corner shooting in Trabuco Canyon CA that happened recently. Body cam footage was recently released.
Condolences to the officer's family and friends after the loss of the officer.
As a former pitiful Taco Bell employee 25yrs ago, I definitely needed that ROTFL moment of Taco Bell debauchery. Hilarious as always Donut!

I stopped by for the shooting, but who knew I was going to be transfixed and traumatized by the Taco Bell story. Well played, sir.
She literally has the survival instincts of a pidgeon
People really don’t ever expect or anticipate being in emergency situations and it’s entirely detrimental to their lives. The sheer panic and overwhelming fear of being in a life or death situation and not knowing what to do will make you change your philosophy on life.

All these Donut videos lately. It feels like we've been getting an extra ration of love. Keep 'em coming!
Damn when he said the suspect sucks at everything in life. He wasn't kidding he even sucked up all those bullets😂
I have a CCW in NYS (not city). It took a year over a hundred bucks, a class 4 letters of recommendation and I had to write a letter to a judge explaining why I needed it.
As someone who lives in the state of New York (not NYC). Ouch. True, very true, but ouch.
You can even use compressed paper (chinese armor) it will stop 95% of bullets that "street fighters" use.
I love your vids Donut keep up the great work! Your vids are some of the best with how impartial you are. I wish you and your family the best of luck in life!

What a time to be a police officer… 😔
Average cop spends just 4% of their entire career dealing with violent crime.
Oil worker, loggers, Steele workers, general road construction, and so on are far more dangerous.
Crime is down overall over 4% a year in the US. Like 18% lower then 2018 today.
Factor in the insane job security, inflation matched pay ect, seems like a great time to be one.

It's more dangerous to deliver pizza. Cops don't even make the top 20 most dangerous jobs but pizza delivery boys do.
