- Here is the vlog of my wonderful trip in Greece ! I spent a week hitchhiking, living along the roads and discovering the beauty of Peloponnese.
Backpacking is a very specific way of traveling, following the events day by day and adapting to situations.
Several times, we experienced the kindness of the Greek people, especially when we could cook our pasta in someone's pan, or when we have been offered an amazing meal in a restaurant.
Even the smallest smile was worth the trip.
We were living with one euro a day.

Great video! Im curious do you have the location of the abandoned hotel at 3:12 where you stayed? I think I was at the same place 2016 :D
Greeks are incredibly hospitable and warm people. It's just that they are not that into hitchhiking. I feel it has to do with that it may be a stranger and potential bad things that could (one never knows) happen. Because for example. I come from North West Europe and there we are "friendly" and we would more easily give a ride to people. But we are incredibly cold, individualistic, not hospitable whatsoever and we are happy enough after some time that the guest is gone and that we have our own space.
In Greece I have received many presents from people who hardly knew me, has been warmhearted, loving, and kind. And without anything in return. So. From a hitchhikers perspective one may think Greeks are not as warm or good as some other places you have been. But if you in other ways would meet Greeks, they are the most hospitable warmhearted people you will ever come to know
