Original setting sun Song uses a double drop D tuning if people didn't know. That would be the top and bottom string by the way

Great Cover :) Setting Sun was the song he started it with at the Budokan gig and the others on that Tour. I think it was part of a song he had for a long time that he never finished. There are early oasis demo's of Lock all the Doors where he uses it as the verse, then he used it in his collab with the chemical brothers. Those acoustic versions 97/98 that he plays in drop D are superb though.

They should have released G-MEX 1997 live version as the main version. The studio version of the song just feels out of place in Be Here Now.
What a song, what a cover! The little bridgey / solo bit at the end is sooo good, you can hear it at the start of the fade in out demo on Spotify. The setting sun into fade in out version Noel played that you mentioned is a personal favourite of mine.
You probably already know this but Johnny Depp played slide guitar on the album version 😃

that sounds amazing as do all your oasis covers, be here now is so underated album, hope you can do more songs from that album or masterplan ablum the 90s b sides, your voice is amazing and sounds better then ever, you could do the oasis reunion instead of noel if he wont do it or be the supoort act on stage with them
