Is a great initiative, I love the idea but, I was about to pre-order however, sadly there are several things I didn't like: Pros: 1.5x might be ok, not really a problem The size and weight is awesome, I love it Cons: Inverted barrel distortion, I don't like it, it doesn't give a 3D feel to the image. I guess the focus system has something to do with it. The flares looks fake, they don't look natural and dynamic from cylindrical lenses. PL/EF is more expensive. Why? After more than 10 years playing with all kind anamorphics, I'm still waiting for someone to make just a damnit 35mm 2x with a cylindrical front block for s35 (Ana mode), at an affordable price. So difficult?

Is adding a uv filter do kill the flare effect or reduce it ? Or it need a different kind of .. ?
The flare is depends on the light source, we also have silver version (less flare options)
