Can i get a 2.35:1 with this lens? Im thinkin of buying the sirui 35mm anamorphic lense and maybe the 75mm or 50mm im not shure yet. But the 35mm is a must for me. Was all your shots at 75mm?
Beautiful work! That lens seems even more sharper than the Zeiss 55mm on the A7iii! How is the Sirui 75mm behaves on the A7iii, the auto zoom works or do you have to use manual zoom? What is your workflow like? Do you film in full mode and then crop the vignetting in post? I’m two fingers away to buy this lens but can’t find the right info online. Merci!
What a great location... Amazing footage. I think I am a fan of Sirui. I only have one of their tripods but it's also very high quality. These lenses look amazing and I am hoping that we see more lenses from them even non-anamorphic.
Mathieu, did you shoot this footage wide open at 1.8? I am finding 1.8 pretty unusable due to focus ghosting and softness. Thanks for posting your video. Your shots look great.
Dear Mathieu, how come that the 35mm from Sirui has converging lines, left and right, and when you film from a lower angle. Is this normal at anamorphic lenses ? I wanted to buy a 35mm but i refused, because every video which was made were cut when you can realize these lines. I thought that it would be a reason not to buy. I own the 50 mm, and i am very happy with it. The 24mm is a deasaster at this point, it seems not useful to me. Best regards Frank.
@@MathieuStern An example is when you take a wide angle lens and watch at the edges right or left looks bowed. I hope it´s understandable. My english is not the best.

Every comment is praising the quality of the footage, so I don't know what's going on, because all I see are horizontal lines, like some crazy glitch. I even thought that was something wrong with my monitor, but it's only with this video.
I dont like Sirui its look like fake anamorphic mod or even worse. I have ISCO GOTTINGEN optics ,Ultra ANAMORPHIC MC 2x adapter almost 6 times cheaper and more verstile and its alomst same sharp as Sirui but much more true anamorphic look even with 20mm Samyang lens,

It's a great lens, for others, not for me. That's 150mm on my MFT's. Unless Sirui decides to build a 12mm or a 16mm Anamorphic, I am not interested..
The wider the lens the less noticeable the anamorphic qualities would be. Also 75mm 1.33x desqueezed would make it 56mm on the horizontal.
