Musky Trolling Setup! (Budget Rod and Reel)

  • If you're like me, trolling isn't my favorite way to catch musky, but when the bite is slow casting I like to go trolling for them.
    Rod: Shimano TDR 8' Heavy
    Reel: Diawa LCB47
    Line: 80 of your favorite braid brand
    Leader: Long Flourocarbon 130 at least
    IG: / last_cast_angling

      I didn't expect these rods to hold up so well. Definitely would reccomend them if you're new to musky trolling

      @@lastcastangling3598 for that price is nice!! I normally cast for musky due to not having a boat but I will get them to give a try when i have the opportunity!

      I also use them for dragging suckers on quick strike or using bluegills as bait. They work great for that as well!
