Love a popping frog in early spring, if you don't hookup, they show themselves for a follow up bait!
Exactly!! Not a lot of folks know to do that. Mimics an injured bait.
I usually pull the skirt to the line tie and trim it there then sometimes cut another inch on one side
Giving up the Florida secret on the spawn popping frog haha. Great vid man, appreciate your content. How do you like that Gambler frog?
Fun video Miles!👍
Loved it
Great video and info
Here’s another FFS question. About how many bass on a percentage would you estimate that move towards your bait without committing to it?
From my relatively little experience co angling with a guy who has FFS, I’d say it’s probably 60-80% of the bass that acknowledge your bait won’t commit. It’s not much a problem though since usually you’re marking tons of fish on FFS so if 60-80% of those fish aren’t committing, the 40-20% that do still probably add up to 6-8 fish from that one area of 20ish bass. Again tho I only get to fish on a vessel with FFS about once a month.
Need a video on under spins swim baits
Spring time is the greatest bass fishing ever whopper plopper rules greatest lure ever it’s illegal up here in Canada to target spawning fish
Whopper Ploppers certainly can be very good for sure!
I snipped my lure legs last night all willy nilly and now it looks ridiculous.
First on
REBEL Crawdad
I thought bass fishing with 30 lb test was a joke then you said 50 . 😂
I can understand that, haha. It sounds like complete overkill because we are only fishing for fish that are on average around 2.5lbs. However, I’ve used up to 80lb test when punching a Texas rig through thick vegetation and still have had an occasional break off. That is because, while 80lb is more than enough to bring in even a 300lb fish from the bottom of the ocean, with bass we are often having to set the hook hard and the impact of such hook sets require heavier line than sounds reasonable.
you need 50lb braid for a frog
What brand of real are you using? Because it sure as hell makes a lot of noise. Can't you put a little oil or some silicone spray on it keep quiet it up. That would flip and drive me nuts.
I was thinking the same thing
Its called braid lol
