I’m from Thailand and my country is really amazing but Philippines is one of the best countries I’ve ever been. I’ve studied english in PH but never had the chance to explore more of the PH but I can say that filipinos are very very friendly, they help me study in english, they talk to me a lot for me to be able to speak really good english and they also love our country.

I love them both but when I visit the Philippines, it's easy for me to go around not just in Manila but to other popular places and communicate EN with people is superb. Filipinos are so very friendly and very accommodating.

If you’re broke and wanted to travel for fun experience, visit Philippines. Not because it’s cheap, but because of the generosity of the people where even the poorest of the poor will still offer you something without anything in return. Immersion with the people is the key. Philippines has a lot to offer, more than a lot actually. Travel poor and gain an insane rich experience with the locals. You’d be not a successful wanderer if haven’t been there. Cheers!

I am a Filipino, and I love traveling around the Phillippines. I have been to Thailand on numerous occasions. I was there three times last year, and I spent my birthday in Bangkok this year just before the COVID pandemic struck. I love Thai food! And like us Filipinos, the Thais are friendly and hospitable. Funny that I am always mistaken as a local by the Thais I meet. But when I tell them that, no, I am from the Philippines, their eyes will almost always widen in amusement, followed by momentary disbelief, and their faces will flush with embarrassment for talking to me in Thai. We'll all then end up laughing at the confusion, with them pointing to my face while saying, "Ah, same-same." The Thais are sweet. Can't wait to go back. 😍
You know philippines is one of the most richest country. During marcos time. And becuase of him in resent time he protect every island in west philippines sea it has been guarded, when the philippines was lend by the hands of marcos as a president, Making it on top by his leadership. But in the hands of cory aquino as a new president of the PH the prosperity of our country was fell to poverty. But in the hands of duterte as a new presidet from this present. Now we feel the prosperity and follow the foot step our great president and hero, ferdinand marcos.
I live in Thailand (Tha Ruea), it rarely rains here unless it's rainy season which also doesn't give that much precipitation but if it's really heavy it can cause floodings.
I was in Phuket Feb of 2020 and went island hopping, I can say water/beaches are not as blue and clear as the Philippines. Phuket is too expensive too.
This vlog makes me wanna travel to Thailand and be an English Teacher, and also I think their language is quite easy to learn. Not as hard as learning to speak English or Filipino(Tagalog based). I wanna learn to speak Thai so I won't have to read subtitles whenever I watch their series!

I'm from Thailand but Philippines in on my bucket list. Many natural wonders to explore. Love to visit Philippines one day. Thanks for non biased comparison between 2 countries. We both have beautiful and interesting attractions and there is no reason to fight for superiority. Come to Thailand if you are into culture, glittering temples, ayurvedic massage, mouthwatering foods, and variety of natural sceneries. For Philippines, your strongest points are thousands of gorgeous islands and beaches, friendly English speaking people, volcanoes, shopping malls, spanish heritage as well as Catholic atmosphere. Can't choose really, if you have time, you should visit both. By the way, Thailand do have some amazing blue waters ,but not as many as Philippines do. Check out Surin Islands, Similan, Tachai, Koh Rok, Koh Lipeh, Koh Nang Yuan, Adang-Rawi Islands and many other islands. Phi Phi is not a good place to be if you are looking for some really nice beach coz it is way too crowded and poorly managed.

I am a Filipino-American. Although , I have never been to Thailand, I always go and eat Thai food. I love Thai Food in New York, California and Texas. I know the local food in Philippines has a long way to go because of the standard of living there is way too low. In spite of low standard of living with poor quality of life you will see the Filipinos are still smiling and happy. They know how to make you feel comfortable. They will respect you and call you “Sir” and “Ma’am”. The surprising part is they will invite you to their homes and share their food with you with nothing to exchange in return. However, there are great food in the Philippines. You can find them especially the international variety food in the city restaurants, malls and I believe they have some amazing foods. Once the Philippines is well developed in the future with bullet train running throughout the nation as the major islands will be connected as planned. They will establish a new standard of living things would be better! The Philippines is The Promise Land and they will rise! The home of the true Garden of Eden!

I have been to both countries and this is my impression. More Philippinos can speak English than Thais. If you get into an argument or disagreement with a Thai you will NEVER win the argument NOR will you come to a comprimise that will suit both parties. It's all one way. Philippinos on the other hand are much more likely to discuss any problem and are much more likely to come to an agreement that will suit BOTH parties. I also feel that PI's are much friendlier than the average Thai.
As a Filipino, we also came into an argument like a rap battle with a mix of violence. But as time passes by, most/some of us will forget our argument like nothing happened.
Before when i was a little kid,im dreaming of going to some other country and wishing to be a westernian girl,but now i realize how lucky i am to be a Filipina and im proud of my country Philippines 🇵🇭😍

I've been to Thailand 4 times and Philippines only once (Coron and El Nido). This is hard because the one time I've been to the Philippines I had an amazing experience but I had issues with food there. In Thailand, I've avoided all the partying and shopping - just enjoyed the beaches and Bangkok. Thailand is far more touristy which can be a negative but I loved Thai food and its culture. However, I want to go to Philippines again and check out Cebu, Boracay and some of the Southern Palawan Islands such as Balabac. I agree that Filipinos are more proficient in English like Malaysia and Singapore where I have struggled in communicating in English in parts of Thailand.

Why do people keep comparing Thailand with the Philippines? We don't need the comparison; each country has its own charms and beauty and unique characteristics. People who did the comparison did not have the extensive knowledge of the places--they just visited a few places for a short period of time.

Many Vlog clips presented a distorted, limited, and uninformed views of the places they visited based on their personal unfortunate encounters. They might have been scammed, but part of the problems often stems from their own ignorance, from their not doing their research. Some of them just jumped into the pool of vices, thinking they could come out the winners. At the end, they emerged a loser, and then started complaining, whining, and putting the blame on the country they visited. (You can browse through some of the thousands of Vlogs put out by foreigners.) For people who need unbiased knowledge of the pace, they should consult documented articles or articles written by informed and experienced writers, rather relying on the information given by notices or amateurs. When you say Asian (with no qualifier) lie A LOT, did you think all Asian people are like that? And you white folks do not lie? And all white folks are good and superior to Asians? LOL (The word White folks here is used to refer to non Asian? ) Oh, I know, non Asians are all good people. If you think Asians cannot be trusted, then stay away from Asia. I have seen a lot of expats spewing hates and bitterness to the culture, and the people of the country they chose to live with. If these people were so unhappy in the country they were residing, why didn't they leave? No one is pulling they back. Some of them still think their own country is better than the country they're now residing. If so, why keep staying on? I don't pretend to be offended. I think the comparison often feeds only part of the truth--not the whole truth--and some people cannot digest the information. Some are so patriotic that they would blindly and unreasonably defend they own country and throw negative and aggressive comments on the other country in the comparison Instead of promoting mutual understanding, this often leads to hatred and animosity among the people.

yeah Boracay is the best beach in the world, the water is not that salty, you can even open your eyes underwater with almost no pain, and the water is so calm, and the sand is perfectly smooth,

I've been to both countries and both are amazing country/food/people !!! Bangkok is a concrete jungle for me and having a hard time going to places, while Manila is becoming one also, but easier to move around the huge metro suburbs, w/ four (4) Largest Malls in the World and most of all because everyone speaks fluent English !!! With respect to a natural beauty, Philippines tops it all with 7,641 islands surrounded by stunning acqua/blue water beaches (comes w/ white, brown, pink and even black sand close to the volcano), mountains, hills, volcanoes, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, forests, jungles and lots of places for hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling, wakeboarding, canyoneering, rafting its like you're in the PARADISE... Some places looks like you're in Ireland, New Zealand, etc... Most bloggers/RUclipsr prefer PHILIPPINES because of natural beauty, more adventures, people's hospitality and most of all English is widely spoken and it's the most Westernize nation in Asia. BTW, I'm from VEGAS and will be retiring in the PHILIPPINES next year... SORRY THAILAND !!!

I have been traveling to Thailand since 1997 until I discovered the Philippines. Quite a contrast in many ways. Thailand is more touristy and sometimes too touristy whilst the Philippines has a lot of exploring ahead.

I am a Filipino, and I love traveling around the Phillippines. I have been to Thailand on numerous occasions. I was there three times last year, and I spent my birthday in Bangkok this year just before the COVID pandemic struck. I love Thai food! And like us Filipinos, the Thais are friendly and hospitable. Funny that I am always mistaken as a local by the Thais I meet. But when I tell them that, no, I am from the Philippines, their eyes will almost always widen in amusement, followed by momentary disbelief, and their faces will flush with embarrassment for talking to me in Thai. We'll all then end up laughing at the confusion, with them pointing to my face while saying, "Ah, same-same." The Thais are sweet. Can't wait to go back. 😍

I'm from Thailand but Philippines in on my bucket list. Many natural wonders to explore. Love to visit Philippines one day. Thanks for non biased comparison between 2 countries. We both have beautiful and interesting attractions and there is no reason to fight for superiority. Come to Thailand if you are into culture, glittering temples, ayurvedic massage, mouthwatering foods, and variety of natural sceneries. For Philippines, your strongest points are thousands of gorgeous islands and beaches, friendly English speaking people, volcanoes, shopping malls, spanish heritage as well as Catholic atmosphere. Can't choose really, if you have time, you should visit both.
By the way, Thailand do have some amazing blue waters ,but not as many as Philippines do. Check out Surin Islands, Similan, Tachai, Koh Rok, Koh Lipeh, Koh Nang Yuan, Adang-Rawi Islands and many other islands. Phi Phi is not a good place to be if you are looking for some really nice beach coz it is way too crowded and poorly managed.

I am a Filipino-American. Although , I have never been to Thailand, I always go and eat Thai food. I love Thai Food in New York, California and Texas. I know the local food in Philippines has a long way to go because of the standard of living there is way too low. In spite of low standard of living with poor quality of life you will see the Filipinos are still smiling and happy. They know how to make you feel comfortable. They will respect you and call you “Sir” and “Ma’am”. The surprising part is they will invite you to their homes and share their food with you with nothing to exchange in return.
However, there are great food in the Philippines. You can find them especially the international variety food in the city restaurants, malls and I believe they have some amazing foods.
Once the Philippines is well developed in the future with bullet train running throughout the nation as the major islands will be connected as planned. They will establish a new standard of living things would be better! The Philippines is The Promise Land and they will rise! The home of the true Garden of Eden!
Bullet trains will be impossible to connect 7k+++ islands... I prefer boats and planes for more scenic travels

I have been to both countries and this is my impression. More Philippinos can speak English than Thais. If you get into an argument or disagreement with a Thai you will NEVER win the argument NOR will you come to a comprimise that will suit both parties. It's all one way.
Philippinos on the other hand are much more likely to discuss any problem and are much more likely to come to an agreement that will suit BOTH parties. I also feel that PI's are much friendlier than the average Thai.

I've been to Thailand 4 times and Philippines only once (Coron and El Nido). This is hard because the one time I've been to the Philippines I had an amazing experience but I had issues with food there. In Thailand, I've avoided all the partying and shopping - just enjoyed the beaches and Bangkok. Thailand is far more touristy which can be a negative but I loved Thai food and its culture. However, I want to go to Philippines again and check out Cebu, Boracay and some of the Southern Palawan Islands such as Balabac. I agree that Filipinos are more proficient in English like Malaysia and Singapore where I have struggled in communicating in English in parts of Thailand.

LOL (The word White folks here is used to refer to non Asian? ) Oh, I know, non Asians are all good people.
If you think Asians cannot be trusted, then stay away from Asia. I have seen a lot of expats spewing hates and bitterness to the culture, and the people of the country they chose to live with. If these people were so unhappy in the country they were residing, why didn't they leave? No one is pulling they back. Some of them still think their own country is better than the country they're now residing. If so, why keep staying on?
I don't pretend to be offended. I think the comparison often feeds only part of the truth--not the whole truth--and some people cannot digest the information. Some are so patriotic that they would blindly and unreasonably defend they own country and throw negative and aggressive comments on the other country in the comparison Instead of promoting mutual understanding, this often leads to hatred and animosity among the people.

There are many people visiting Thailand every year. Make it look chaotic But there are many places that tourists never know. Be calm and suitable for rest and do not be afraid of danger in Thailand, everything is safe.

I've been to both countries and both are amazing country/food/people !!! Bangkok is a concrete jungle for me and having a hard time going to places, while Manila is becoming one also, but easier to move around the huge metro suburbs, w/ four (4) Largest Malls in the World and most of all because everyone speaks fluent English !!! With respect to a natural beauty, Philippines tops it all with 7,641 islands surrounded by stunning acqua/blue water beaches (comes w/ white, brown, pink and even black sand close to the volcano), mountains, hills, volcanoes, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, forests, jungles and lots of places for hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling, wakeboarding, canyoneering, rafting its like you're in the PARADISE... Some places looks like you're in Ireland, New Zealand, etc... Most bloggers/RUclipsr prefer PHILIPPINES because of natural beauty, more adventures, people's hospitality and most of all English is widely spoken and it's the most Westernize nation in Asia. BTW, I'm from VEGAS and will be retiring in the PHILIPPINES next year... SORRY THAILAND !!!

@@YuuSouji because Thailand is only a backdoor country of China and Malaysians very cheap to travel by Chinese or Malaysians, but Philippines even she's apart from other Asian countries the Philippines attracts more foreign tourist from far countries like Germany, Great Britain, Iceland, South Korea, Canada, Japan etc

I have been traveling to Thailand since 1997 until I discovered the Philippines. Quite a contrast in many ways. Thailand is more touristy and sometimes too touristy whilst the Philippines has a lot of exploring ahead.
