Sheesh, RCE was really playing this like an architect back then. Selling fully upgraded components, buying them again, fully upgrading them, selling them, buying them again...
Watching Matt play this game just proves that you don't have to be smart to be an engineer. It felt like I was watching an architect try to figure out how to launch a rocket.
As an Alaskan, the way he pronounced chinook physically hurt me. If anyone's curious, it's supposed to be pronounced "shin-uuk" with the final bit being pronounced like the "-ook" in "took". Unless you're referring to the peoples, it can mean a warm, dry wind.
Those were the good times when games like this came out. Casual, not complicated, grinding but not just clicker, a little bit skill, sometimes funny animations, texts, good for a few hours.
At the end you traveled through time and went back to the starting point of learn to fly 1, where the penguin started to want to fly because penguins were made fun of online for not being able to fly
I think it was likely a brain fart since this was recorded when the news of Flash support ending was relatively recent (it's from June 2021 or earlier since Matt likes to record a back log). Probably didn't think to check Steam for a Flash game at the time. Oh and he isn't trying to be fishy with re-posting old videos, every Monday is a compilation video of old game plays.
Ramjets are indeed interesting! They need to be moving at high speeds to function effectively because they rely on the forward motion to compress incoming air, rather than using compressors like in a traditional jet engine. The high-speed airflow is forced into the intake, where it's compressed before mixing with fuel and igniting. They're typically used on supersonic vehicles like missiles and some experimental aircraft. Ramjets are efficient at speeds above Mach 2, but they don’t work well at low speeds, which is why an aircraft or missile must already be moving quickly for them to function properly. That's why they're called "ram" jets, cuz they RAM the air into the chamber :B
@Henley-j2e I'm into anything STEM, and ramjets are a pretty amazing piece of modern engineering. Planes in general are pretty cool, yeah! I've been getting into the Mayday: Air Disasters series here on youtube if you're also into the engineering behind aircraft. Some absolutely amazing stories on it, too. Definitely check out what happened to British Airlines Flight 009. Quite possibly my favorite case because of how weird and unexpected the cause was.
Ideally, from my understanding of rocketry, you want to gradually increase your speed throughout the launch in accordance with the drag factor and gravity (assuming this game has gravity), such that you accelerate as much and as evenly possible BUT keeping in mind that using up your fuel while experiencing drag is extremely inefficient. So the closer your are to Earth, the less you actually want to spend fuel to accelerate. But - you also want to make sure you never lose momentum, so you should always be burning *something*.
This is like that one game where you would bounce off of cars and people... dont remember the name. Also it's nice to see birds bouncing off the plane... if you've never seen a bird strike in person, it's horrifying. Seen a few myself but luckily never had to clean it up myself. Seen them pierce right into the fuel tank.
I love the learn to fly games! Haha! Also at 1:07:15 that is a world war two German panzershreck anti tank rocket launcher. Not exactly new XD. and the ending at 1:19:13 is where the first game started, so he went back in time to what started the adventure and story throughout the three games. (I think)
Day 1 of asking Matt to play Palia if he likes MMO games. I think he’d like all the bridges. It’s not a strategy or clicker game like he normally plays, but mining or crafting might still be a good video. I have bad wrists too and keybindings really help
Hey! You should play space flight simulator It is Similar to this game But it is Set in space. You can build your own rocket With Different size Fuel tanks There are. Different boosters With different amounts thrust Now that I think about it It is almost like that kerbal space game but in 2d I Recommend survival mode Because In creative mode You can build Whatever. You want Which isn't very engineer like
Uhhmmm there was something Shady about your tone of voice in this one, especially when you said "there is still some shady ways to get the game running" 😂😂
Pulse rockets… “requires speed to use” *uses only after all speed is gone* 😂
We all know that Matt isn't the best when it comes to reading and understanding things 😂☠️
Sheesh, RCE was really playing this like an architect back then. Selling fully upgraded components, buying them again, fully upgrading them, selling them, buying them again...
Matt going around in circles is weirdly hypnotic to sleep to, albeit.
OG Matt voice: *exists*
My 1st thought: Is Matt sick?
My 2nd thought: Nope, it's just Mega montage Monday 😂
good to know i wasnt going crazy
Lol
It would be nice if he had that in the titles
Something sounds different about Matt’s voice
yeah I noticed that as well 🤔🤔
He's probably sick.
I think hes uploading old videos
this is a compilation, probably had a different mic at the time, or he was just sick
It's just a bunch of old vids put together
Watching Matt play this game just proves that you don't have to be smart to be an engineer. It felt like I was watching an architect try to figure out how to launch a rocket.
Rude
Gotta love the simplicity and nostalgia of Learn To Fly. Just a lone penguin reaching for the stars...

this video seriously made me question how smart this guy actually is...
I think he had to be doing it on purpose, purely for content. I refuse to believe he's this dense.
I love triple M (Mega Movie Monday)❤❤
Matt’s Mega Movie Monday!
But it’s Tuesday….
@australiangamer7956 Shhhhhh
It really needs it own theme song like Timberborners.

Kerbal space program looking a bit different
Yeah right
This is available on steam. No shady nonsense required. But you Said that for the comments. I'm going to assume it was just social.... Engineering.
Or, it was different several years ago.

It’s available on steam or it’s available with a supernova program but either way doesn’t seem shady
He really needs to figure out the spin boosters, which in slow turning ships, LET YOU SPIN.
I used to play learn to fly as a kid. I played it in my IT class instead of doing the work. Definitely unlocked some memories for me.
i have a dream, a dream of drinking architect tears from powder form + engineering juice
I can't believe Matt would be the architect behind the success of someone's dreams! I knew he had it in him.
Games like this were probably around 26 percent of my childhood
Papa John is an infant, and so are the flaming things, they’re the little helpers that got launched with Paul
YESSSSSSSS!!! One of my favorites uploaded on MEGA MONDAY!

Neat
U like planes too?

0:28 Now, now children 😂
All the time since these originally aired.... and matt still plays most games like an architect
I remember that series, really fun game!
The penguin is heading for the stars
Always love ur vids, Matt. give us moreee!!! AND MORE
its quite nostalgic to see the first game opening in the end of the third game. amazed by that
Need more of this !!!

It sounds like he new that it would become a meme

43:21 Not a flying trampoline its a drone 😂😂😂
You don’t understand how much I played this when I was younger. Love the vid!
Oh man! I love learn to fly!
One of my favorites playing one of my favorites.
Amazing 👏 been watching for years
Oh man, i remember being addicted to this game. Oh, how the days pasted
Oh the nostalgia 😮❤
Day 4 of asking Matt to play creeper world(or whatever he wants)!🎉🎉
Bro has a RUclips channel dedicated to be his fan
@alexis-b5j3pyou don’t?
@Average_RCE_Enjoyer No, I have better. I have an entire computer dedicated to him
@alexis-b5j3pYooooooooooi😂
@Average_RCE_Enjoyer true chad indeed
Fun fact. If you get to space fast enough you can actually crack/break the moon
New vid just after school . Suuuuiiii❤❤❤
SUUUUIIIIII!!!!!
learn to fly 3 is on steam btw
Interesting hearing a calmer RCE again
Thought I was having déjà vu at first 😂 but nah, just a mega compilation. Love it!
omg this was a classic
Getting and ad to be an architect on a real civil engineer video is somthing else
Yea gonna sub to you for sure.
Fellow Civil Engineer by Day, Gamer by Night🔥
My KSP knowledge tells me red is probably not good for altitude, it's probably incurring drag losses. :)
I need more learn to fly 3 so fun to watch you play
No way! I just found this game again a few days ago when I was looking through my steam library. 100%'ed it a few hours ago
This was addicting to watch! Looks absolutely Bollocks fun!
WE NEED MORE
I love the learn to fly games! Haha! Also at 1:07:15 that is a world war two German panzershreck anti tank rocket launcher. This realy used to be one of my Favorite Games, i played it like once a moth all the way.
Ice bucket challenge
🧊 copyright 2014 ice bucket challenge fun game for summertime 🧊
playing this on steam
Sometimes something in your voice/inflection/accent reminds me of Noel Fielding, and I love it
49:55 the EL FUEGO💀💀💀😂😂😂
Matt, you have to see if you can find Hedgehog Launcher, it's like this, only so much more!
At 5:06 Matt SAID DOLLARS. Someone help
Oh no the world is going to end 😂😂😂😂
As an aeroengineer, I love this game
I still can't tell if he's a
Real civil, engineer, or a
Real, civil engineer
Matt you need to try the Half Sword demo, it's hilarious. 🤣🤪😘
Keep an eye on your speed. When the speed is in the red, you're losing a lot to air friction...
I miss this game, now I have to figure out how to get it working again
WE NEED MORE 1 HR + EPISODES❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Day 1 of asking Matt to play Palia if he likes MMO games. I think he’d like all the bridges. It’s not a strategy or clicker game like he normally plays, but mining or crafting might still be a good video.
I have bad wrists too and keybindings really help
Nice Owen Wilson reference 😂😂
Yay
I think Matt has dementia
by shady ways of getting it playable do you mean steam since its on there :)
I first played it through the flashpoint archives, you can find the other two games there as well.
It’s a reupload. It wasn’t on stream in 2021 which beginning of the video takes place in. Montage Mondays.
Very good love🎉🎉
Man i remember this game from my childhood🤣
I just finished this game 100% and got all achievements pretty peak

"we got more sardines, that will be good for next time", but there never was a next time... unless?
The golden bullet reminds me of the Australium rocket from the TF2 comics.
36:20 and 38:10 Noot Noot😂😂😂
That was the bird from flappy dunk
Use your boost after you've used all your stages. I think you'll get higher.
Once again petitioning for a Mega Movie Monday intro theme.
Oooh, I backed this game on kickstarter sooo long ago. My name is in the credits hahah
I think we should be on the white portion on drag🤔

This was very a walk on memory lane
Love the new mic very crisp
I feeso likes Matt's played this game before
Nice. 😊

I downloaded the phone version yesterday it isn’t that bad actually it’s the 2nd one
"There's still some shady ways to get the game going"
Me with it in my steam library being Shady af: 🤓
Uhhmmm there was something Shady about your tone of voice in this one, especially when you said "there is still some shady ways to get the game running" 😂😂
"We've got so high"😃
"We've got so high" 👄💨
