    Couldn't agree more with your comments, you've highlighted exactly my experiences when I first purchased my 2018 Hse Dynamic 2 years ago.
    Ive just sold mine and ordered a new Hse Dynamic Black Edition, nothing else out there comes close to this, I looked at the Q8 / Q7 but decided to stick with the RR. Decided to go with the P400E really looking forward to my first part electric and it comes with the heated steering wheel and ive paid extra for the electric roof, ive also bought all black side steps. I totally agree best SUV on the market 👍

    The sport was always my dream car then the Velar came out so I had one of those. 12 months later I had a Sport courtesy car while mine was being serviced.....and now I'm swapping my Velar for a Sport!! Unrivaled comfort, the seating position, heaven on wheels!!

    I like the re-telling of the "hoary" old joke.. I first heard thatin the late 1980's in Africa from a neighbouring farmer when I purchased a five year old Range Rover 4 door SE, 3.5 litre V8 Petrol, manual transmission.. He had a 4.2 litre 6 cylinder Landcruiser, which at the time was the chosen vehicle for farmers there.. However the joke was finally put to rest when late one afternoon, I drove down along our mutual boundary fence to check on the wind direction of a menacing but still fairly distant bush fire. The fire was on the far side of the medium sized Gwebi River which ran through both properties. In both properties there was some two hunded foot wide area of "vlei"which in the set season would become a swamp and in the dry season was a very sticky clay type soil.. I pulled up next to him and we discussed the possible threat to our properties, across the standard barbed wire fence. He warned me not to go closer to the river as his Landcruiser was stuck fast and awaiting a tow from one of his farm tractors..However I ignored his advice and set off towards the river to check how damp the area was as a possible likely fire break. I drove about 100 yards further on towards the river from where he was until I felt my "Ranger" begin to lose traction and sure enough , I too became stuck. I sat for a minute or so and then realised that I was staring at the yellow gear knob of the "Diff Lock". I turned the engine off and put her into "Diff Lock" , then started the engine and gingerly pressed the accelator. I remeber thinking that it was as if somehow "grappling hooks " had come out of the tyres as my Range Rover clawed her way forward. I drove on cautiously for about another 50 yards in a wide sweeping arc, and mae my way backto where the Landcruiser was still stuck..My neighbour had an incredulous but also sheepish look on his face and xaid.
    "Okay.. No more jokes.. That is something I could never do in my cruiser..!!
    I realised that my beloved Range Rover would go anywhere...Except past a Petrol Pump.. She was very thirsty..especially when towiing a heavy horsebox in blistering (40 deg C) heat over a long distance, I was getting 8 miles per gallon..!!!

    Just bought one of these. Initial impression is it’s lovely. I had a Mercedes CL500 before. That was a pretty fast car. I feel much more relaxed driving the RR making it more pleasurable to drive in my opinion. I also drive on farm lanes so this ticks that box as well.

    I had an HSE MY14.5. Sold it in 2020 and replaced it with a Q8. Had the Audi for 17 months and I’m going back to a fully loaded 2022 D300 Sport SE. They’re like gold-dust here in Australia but managed to pick up a cancelled order, a few hours after it was cancelled! It has the straight six ingenium engine so be interesting to see how it rates against the V6 I had last time.

      I agree differently I have a 41k FLRSH SDV6 and yes it’s a great engine but very prone to failures mine just blew and as it’s not in warranty anymore I’m face with a Bill of 50% of the cars value! LR know of the fault and choose not to do anything as many have had the same problem! Its a great car but the engines are frail and not really fit for purpose so just be prepared even with a warranty if it’s 3rd party be in for a fight whilst your car gathers dust on the back of a a recovery truck!

    Completely with you on the look of this car and it’s presence. I have a 2016 Q7 which I’m looking to change soon to the SQ7, but I keep looking at the RRS. The original letdown on the RR’s was the infotainment, which they have obviously addressed finally. We need to seven seats and I’m seriously considering a 2019/20 RRS now, yes a completely different thing to the SQ7 but I think it’s more about practicality these days. As you have had previous RR’s how was the reliability? As that was the other issue, but maybe not...

    • @RobinsonsSelectCarReviews
      @RobinsonsSelectCarReviews  3 года назад

      I'm sure the SQ7 will be a lot of fun! I hear they are excellent motors.. My 1st RRS (2010) had a few minor issues but nothing major, the second one (2014) was fine until about 50,000 miles then it became fairly problematic so I got rid of it. This one has been great and I've had no issues so far, but I have the Land Rover warranty until 2022 so it's care free driving. They all come with a 3 year manufacturer warranty as standard :)

    ❤ no other car for me !! Everything about the new Range Rover sport is awesome it's so improved over the last one. It handles like BMW and rides like it's on glass. Just incredible I love my car so much I have the same color too. The side steps I don't like the look. I prefer not to have them. And the boot does seem small and not hold as much due to the angle of the back window a lot of luggage capacity has been lost. Stereo is awesome but the sunroof sucks it should have been in two separate pieces the shade should have opened in the middle the driver can never be out of the Sun and you can't open the back separately should have been two separate like the discovery.

      In general there are 2 groups who own them. 1 people who spend all their cash on the car and moan when their non-maintained car goes wrong.
      2 those who buy them, love them and look after them. Currently in a 2014 now with 56k (with all the toys) 1 yr in and cost to run has been an oil and filter change, preventative gearbox fluid change. One set of rear pads and an mot.
      It's a dear luxury car, treat it as such, spend on maintaining before it needs it and it will be fine.

Question is, is the RRS worth the jump away from the A6?? I have always loved the RRS, reliability worries me to be honest, I would buy from a main dealer with a warranty so shouldn’t be an issue for the first couple of years anyway? What would be your thoughts?

    In America, there is really no equal to the RR Sport. The closest pretender would be a Cadillac Escalade with a 6.2 liter V8. The Escalade lacks the refinement and is definitely a truck based luxury SUV.

      I haven't personally but i know people who have had issues, my advise would be to get a very good warranty and hope for the best haha

    Thank you for the review. I just purchased the 2019 Sport HSE. When I use the key fob to open car and have all the windows open the rear seat windows don't go full down. Is that correct or do I have to change a setting?

    Just watched your video and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've always bought Germain cars Audi/BMW but seriously looking at the Sport. I have some concerns about the reliability of the make. Can you comment on that?

      Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the review... To be honest its pot luck when it comes to reliability, I know people who have had major problems and my last one had a couple of things go wrong but my first one (2011 HSE) and this new one have been faultless so its just a bit of a gamble unfortunately. For me, personally, I think they are worth the risk

    The HSE is the version to own IMHO. You buy a SUV to haul stuff. Friends and family around. Want SVR performance? Buy the F-Type Coupe!! :) Or forget about the SVR engine and get a Porsche 911 (992) 4s.

    Im planning to buy a 2017 Sport HSE but quite afraid of going forward with the purchase due to so many bad reviews. Dont really feel like buying one of these and then spending most of the time trying to fix it. This would be my entry into the world of Land Rover as Ive always wanted one. What are you view is it worth the risk?

      the 2019+ range rover models tend to be more reliable...but still all types of range rovers you would still need a proper maintenance of the car

      Hi mate, to be honest is just a personal preference. I prefer the way the sport looks over the vogue.

    How’s the steering wheel? Heavier/stiffer ? Or loose/soft/light/numb?

    • @RobinsonsSelectCarReviews
      @RobinsonsSelectCarReviews  3 года назад

      Much lighter but not too light, they've got the balance just right. Its a miles better drive than the pre-facelift version which was a lot heavier in terms of steering
