    Walking 6miles to work, not eating 7 days for the baby to eat... man. That's one strong mama.

    Seniors need similar programs. Thousands are under the threat of homelessness every month because SSDI doesn't cover the rising costs of living. The entire system does need to be reworked.

    I was a single mom to 3 girls and was making $10 a hour and the government would not help because I worked but said they didn’t want me Not to work.
    Unfortunately the only way they help you is if you don’t work and I wasn’t willing not to work.
    It was sad because help with just food cost would have been great. It seems like the system is there to keep you down.
