I've seen some of these character models before on Twitter. I think this game is being made by Junya C Motamura who works as one of the main 3D artists at Arc System Works. Incredible that he's been making this game whilst working at ASW, the game looks amazing!
@@Fargusno7930 Not to speak for the individual developing the game, but I imagine he's doing this on his own and out of his own pocket so that he owns the game entirely and profits from it directly. Getting funding or assistance from a publisher would defeat the purpose of this game's existence.
omg at 0:52, Dual dagger chick sidesteps to the right to dodge the vertical cut then jumps to dodge the followed horizontal cut. If that is legit then holy god the potential in how insane the fights can get.

If this game have 2 vs 2 brawler system it could make Versus a lot more appealing for teamplayers! This game can be very promising, with a litle story mode dungeon/arena crawler and more characters. Please do a Kickstarter or a Patreon to get support!
Looks fun, and I love the character designs. However, seriously fix the camera. It bouncing around so much all the time will lead to motion sickness. Just have the camera bounce after sprint for a long distance or something.

Amazing! I hope the rest of the roster is quite hugely diverse in terms of races as the fantasy lore provides, like a lizardman, a literal beastman (wolfman, foxwoman, etcetera), undead, dwarf and, heck, even a bonafide dragon. The potential is absolutely crazy! I can’t wait to see more of this! 🤩
This is such a great looking game! The frozen-like animations (frames dropped?) is SO akin to the Arcade games that were made in the past with beautiful sprites. You've nailed the visuals.

I've always wanted to see an original IP's take on an arena fighter. Since they don't have the brand recognition, it'd have to sell itself on its gameplay and unique characters. Shame most people won't give it the time of day/will actively shit on it simply for being an arena fighter. Sucks because some of them are actually pretty solid like MHAOJ and Pokken or actually great like Kill La Kill If. Unfortunately, Spike keeps pumping out garbage which makes the entire genre look bad and CC2 is basically all flash and no substance.
I see on the blog site some PvE combat against what looks like various npcs. So is there single player action or is it focusing on arena fighting? Its gonna be pretty hard on the dev (who I hear is only one person) if its gonna be both

I'm really interested in this. Finally a great blend of 2 and 3 axis movement and some cool mechanics taht can make the game actually competitive. I wish we had some anime/manga fighting games like this. Just to name a few: BLEACH BAKI ONE PUNCH MAN
