Wide THUJA Conifer Hedge gets a Haircut

Hedge trimming this large thuja / arborvitae hedge to get it all neat and tidied up for the homeowner before winter. This conifer hedge only needed a light trim of the face and the top neatening up, which ended up being rather wide, it was just about reachable using the stihl km94 hedge trimmer with a kombi extension. The adjustable tripod ladders came in really handy given the ground was uneven and very sloping. We used a mixture of makita and stihl hedge trimmers for the work on this back yard hedge.

what is the capacity of the battery and how long can you cut with it?

This was a 5ah battery, can get maybe 1hr 45mins roughly, depending on what you're trimming.

Great job! What the purpose of the stihl pole hedge cutter vs the Makita? The stihl is for branches further away or thicker branches?

I couldn't reach the whole top with the makita, so needed the stihl with extension, it only just made it as well, was a lot wider than it looked 😅 cheers.
