The message about reframing career setbacks really hit home. Embracing Amor Fati gives us the strength to see challenges as part of a larger story-very inspiring!

First I say hi to all fellow stoics, I've been listening to stoicism a little under a year, the most simplest way to endure it, is to love it, learn to deal with bad things with a positive attitude, thank you for your teachings.

Amor Fati is such a revolutionary way of thinking! I love how it encourages us to stop resisting what we can't control. The concept of seeing our obstacles as stepping stones rather than roadblocks is something I definitely need to apply more in my life. It’s time to embrace my fate with open arms and make the most of what life gives me. 💪

My life has been a difficult journey and for the longest time, I kept asking why? I was always lonely and unhappy. Learning stoicism from you and applying it to my way of life, I have learned to embrace any challenges and difficulties that come my way. By learning to love myself, I am no longer lonely or unhappy. I have finally found my inner peace. Thank you ❤

The use of real-life examples, like Steve Jobs and Thomas Edison, really highlights how amor fati can lead to remarkable transformations. Their stories serve as motivational reminders that even the most challenging situations can pave the way for incredible opportunities.

I never knew there was a word for it. I had an extremely challenging childhood, my father suicided, my mother was diagnosed as a psychopath, I was deemed an abused and neglected child. I see this as the building blocks for my vocation. After therapy I became an mental health worker but not a clinician, I used peoples gifts, talents and walked beside them. My daughter died at 27 of ovarian cancer and suddenly I found people attracted to me who were struggling with grief. I am retired now, medically after a fall but I discovered my late daughters art supplies and now I am an artist. So this is called Amor Fati. Thank you

Embrace Fate, Don’t Fight It: Instead of resisting life's challenges, practice Amor Fati-find peace and even love in what happens, no matter how difficult. This perspective transforms obstacles into opportunities for growth.

Absolutely loved this video! Your insights on Amor Fati and Stoicism are both inspiring and practical. It reminded me of Nietzsche’s words: "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." Thank you for breaking down such profound concepts in a relatable way. Looking forward to more lessons like this!

In my opinion, the moments my colleague gave me the feedback with her contact lenses I fully understood the facts. Anyway, that was my thoughts. Thanks for sharing a great experience!

Which is easier to do and more practical - accepting things as they are - or - dropping my viewpoint ?
For me it’s much easier to drop my viewpoint! It’s very difficult to accept my cancer ; but it’s easier to drop my thoughts, opinions, judgements and feelings about it .
When I drop my viewpoint about cancer , I’m no longer its enemy! If I accept cancer , I’m inviting it into my home.

The key isn't to accept things as they are but rather accept what is out of your control and focus what is within your control. If you accept the cancer you aren't inviting it in. Rather you can choose to accept that its a part of your life which is out of your control but what is in your control is accepting the cancer and choosing how you are going to react to it. I hope this makes sense and i hope you find peace in all of your trials.
