- Andhra Pradesh Floods | Amid severe flooding in Andhra Pradesh, CM N. Chandrababu Naidu announced army deployment to control breaches in Budameru rivulet. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan surveyed flood-hit areas on September 5. Naidu stressed raising Prakasam Barrage capacity to 15 lakh cusecs; it currently holds 11.9 lakh. Floods have claimed 32 lives and displaced 45,369. IMD issued an orange alert predicting heavy rain until September 8.

Naidu should have called the Army on the first day itself after receiving information on the rate of floods . Many lives could have been saved. Utter failure.
Dont lie cm can never call army according to indian constitution..However in situations like internal security threat of a district, a collector or DM may ask for local military commander. In case local military commander is satisfied, he may order troops movement.
Utter failure on the part of this NDA govt which has led people suffer immensely. No proper relief measures were in place, people were not shifted to rehabilitation centres. No planning, overall failure.
