    Hello i wanted to say thanks so much for your videos i passed my CBT and was worried on the road it helped alot you visually showing what to do and explained it very well. I grew up on dirt bikes and never ride on the road until now big thanks for making me more confident on the road and knowing im doing the right things.

    It's great to see Cupar supporting you with all these reviews. Passed by it on a Sunday and was a nugget as I didn't check Google for it's opening hours. Wanted to try a Vstrom 650 as that was my previous choice before I settled on a VFR800. Sadly nobody was cool with a new rider taking a test ride at the time

    The less I can hear the exhaust, the less I scare wildlife, the better I like it.
    And, honestly, the Suzuki exhausts tend to not frighten horses much.

    A pleasant 'quick' road test, in sunny Scotland. If I may just correct your comments regarding the brakes on the DE (around the 15 min. mark) being "the same as on the GSX8S". In fact the front calipers on the DE are axial mounted, two-piston, single-acting (that is, pistons only work on one side of the caliper, and the caliper is able to 'self centre' on lubricated pins), whereas the GSX8S has radially mounted, four piston calipers, where the caliper is solid-bolted, and the pistons act on both sides of the calipers. I realise you only had the DE for a short period, but thought I should correct that oversight!

    Do you think it will have the bulletproof reliability and longevity of the other Vstroms?

    Hi, thanks for the informative videos . I have passed my MOD 1 with the help of your videos.
    I have a question, do we need a 2 years old motorcycle license to book a test ride ?
    I wanted to buy a motorcycle. I have called Honda for a test ride.
    The manager said I can’t do the test ride because my motorcycle licence is new ?

    I would, rather than call the 800DE a ADV home-run, call it quality Swiss Army Knife ADV.
    If you want to take on a road ride, it's really good. If you get on the dirt, its really good.
    Pretty much any motorcycle you pick will be either better at road and less capable in dirt, or more capable in dirt and not so nice on road, or better at both, but much more expensive.
    Its a bargain, all-around win.
    Perfect? No.
    Just like a Toyota Camry isn't a Maybach S580.

    Why new generation motobike. New model everybody's like model has tube type tires why? Tube types stay in the past. Tubeless are better comfartable safe.. 650xt has tubeless why 800de has tube type tires? What are the advantages & disadvantages?

    • @tonifuso71
      @tonifuso71 Год назад

      i think tubed tyres should be illegal for road use, ABS it's mandatory and so tubeless tyres should be.

    • @MotoEcosse
      @MotoEcosse  Год назад +1

      One of the main reasons for tubes is due to the type of wheel used. Because of all the spokes it's harder to make the tyres airtight so tubes are used.

    • @chadkline4268
      @chadkline4268 Год назад +3

      An advantage of tubes are:
      1) the tires come on+off more easily. Tubeless tires are seated more deeply into the rim.
      2) if your rim gets bent by a rock, a tube tire will still get you home. A tubeless tire will leave you stranded.

    • @tonifuso71
      @tonifuso71 Год назад

      @@chadkline4268 you are talking about real enduro bikes, the 99% of this bikes are used in roads, rarely in gravel where every single pinch leaves you stranded with tubes. The real reason is case tube rims are cheaper to produce.

    • @chadkline4268
      @chadkline4268 Год назад +1

      @@tonifuso71
      3. Tubeless will leave you stranded if there is a puncture in the sidewall. Tubed tires will not. If you are going to ride 99% on streets, then don't get an ADV! Why get an ADV to ride in pavement? Most people on the Western USA, Canada, Mexico, central and south America, Philippines, Australia, etc are not always riding on streets. They ride on some rough roads.

    Saw almost nothing but boring straight roads on this video, and nothing that even looks like an adventure, in any way.

  • @stevidente
    @stevidente Год назад +1

    Still too heavy and needs tubeless tires.

    • @MotoEcosse
      @MotoEcosse  Год назад +2

      The weight didn't really bother me and due to the bike having spokes, they use tubes. Harder to make the tyres airtight.
