These boards (Terra and Urono) are quite heavy at about 12kg due to the fused dual layer construction + dual chamber. Does the weight of a paddle board have any drawbacks in terms of speed? Am debating about getting one of these or the Aquatone Flame (basically the same thing but without the second chamber). I'm 77kg at 180cm tall if that makes any difference. Thanks!
In my opinion the weight makes no difference when you’re on the water what does make a difference is the stiffness of the board duel chamber boards are usually quite a bit stiffer than single chamber and you have the added safety of two chambers so I would buy the dual chamber board over the single chamber board every day. Both are great brands. It would come down to which model you are thinking of. Generally speaking the dualchamber board should be a bit stiffer and also safer having the two chambers over the one.

It’s the same amount of effort spit over the 2 chambers.
