Hi Andrea. I have been diabetic for over thirty years, I eventually got my Libra2 last week on the NHS, so luckily I don’t have to pay the hight price for it. Having an iPhone I loaded the app and now I can see my readings at any time without having to scan the reader which I have put back in the box in case I need it in the future. As long as your phone is near by, it continuously monitors your readings.it really is great, and I can keep my levels in the green section very easily, and my fingers are very happy not to be pricked numerous times a day. Thanks for a great video.
As a type two diabetic for the last number of years his fingers hurt and are bruised, and also as someone who despises reading instructions but can learn by watching a Wilburn video I am very very thankful for this site. Thank you so much!!
Hello Andrea, I have no idea what you do for a living, however, I would definitely hope you worked in public speaking, broadcasting or something of the like. Your communication skills and presentation style are awesome! Very impressive! Keep it up!
Oh WOW - thank you so so so much Ian - these words mean more to me than I can possibly express- thank you!!! And thank you so much for watching - I'm very grateful indeed!!! 🙏🏻☺️
Very informative, I’m also going to use this opportunity to recommend Dr IGUDIA on RUclips who cured my type 2 Diabetes with his natural herbs medication
My son is a diabetic this helps me alot thank you for taking the time to help other...having a diabetic kid or teenager not easy. God bless you. Thans again.😇🙏
Oh wow! I searched your video after getting terrified seeing the needle! I popped it on and laughed so hard because I didn’t even FEEL it! I felt it more afterward! Thanks for the video!
I have been a type 1 diabetic for 2 years- was diagnosed in may 2019, a year after I had my son. I got the freestyle 14 day in December but it just wasn’t doing as well for me, so my endo switched me over to the freestyle 2 and I love it! I recently ordered and received some patches for it on Amazon and they definitely help it stay on the full 2 weeks! No more worry of it coming off early!
I’m so sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis, especially after giving birth, I can only imagine how stressful that must have been! You’re clearly amazing to be dealing with all of this so well, and I’m so glad the freestyle libre 2 is working well for you and that you’re able to get the full 14 day wear using the patches! That’s what it’s all about, finding what works best for us and makes our lives easier! I’m happy for you, and wishing you all the very best you amazing Mama, you!!! 💙
I have been a Type 1 for over 50 years and not dead yet!! I received a free Sencer and reader from the diabetic nurse here in New Zealand. Sadly, replacement Sencers are not funded here and are really very expensive. I must admit, I really like it, great to get instant results without finger pricking and test strips. I think it will enable better control and less danger of low readings at night. The alarms are very welcome, but I only use the low alarm.
Thank you so much for this video! Although this video is 2 years old, it is my first time trying freestyle libre 3 and you gave me the confidence to go for the insertion. I was so nervous of the needle but in the end it didn’t hurt! Thank you again 🩵⭐️
i just love your videos, I love how you wake up, and decide to create these to help people in the way you can. Your videos are funny to see, you have such a great charisma and motivation for living, that's all what you need in this life. Never change! We need you.
Oh my GOODNESS - what a BEAUTIFUL COMMENT!! Thank you so so much Enrique!! You are too kind!!! Honestly, I love making these video and it's comments like yours that just blow my mind - thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you so much for your excellently explained video. I have had diabetes type 1 for 46 years and have had all varying types of finger pricking devices (some I swear were a form of torture). I even remember before finger pricking when I used to go off litmus sticks with urine but that gave an answer that was very belated, so not at all efficient. Anyway I have just this morning received a letter telling me that I’m going to be sent a freestyle libre 2 on the British NHS. Of course the first thing I did was come to this video to see how things are done. Brilliant - thank you. Brenda, Cheshire, England.
I just want to say THANK YOU. I have been working with a nutritionist to monitor my blood sugar. Back in July I used the sensor for 2 weeks and you helped me insert it. I was a total newbie. Now I'm doing it again and was a little nervous (as if it were the first time) and you just guided me through it again. I really appreciate your matter-of-fact can-do attitude. It helped me both times!
I often find that my Freestyle Libre 1 does give low readings for the first 12 hours or more. A couple of months ago I found a tip to get around this, just insert it 24 hours before you activate it. That seems to work a treat!
Thank you so much for sharing this Stephen! I've had a few people comment this, and I think it's brilliant and makes total sense! Thank you again for sharing it!!
I agree totally with you about inaccuracies with this device. If I was a type 1 diabetic I would look at one of the more premium solutions you have already reviewed. I am a type 2 and largely using Keto to control blood glucose with a great deal of success and the simplicity of this device has been a tremendous support :-)
@@svensterone i wouldn't be so quick to write the Freestyle Libre, it's been life changing for me since shifting over from finger prick tests. Yes, the readings can be a bit out if you start it immediately after inserting it, which is why I always apply a new one the night before my old one is due to expire to give it at least 12 hours to bed in. For anyone who takes the time to read up on how they work, it doesn't take the reading from blood like a finger prick test, but rather the fluid that lies below the blood vessels, which means there's usually a lag of 15 minutes between the CGM and a blood glucose reading from a finger prick test, hence why two readings taken at the same time on the different devices wouldn't correlate. this is why many medical professionals advocate using the Freestyle as a day-to-day CGM, but fall back on a blood glucose finger prick test when experiencing a low
Former Army Medic here. I got over my needle issues when we trained by shooting each other. My understanding is that modern needles are Teflon coated. Except for IVs I've felt nothing for years.
Wow! Absolutely amazing! I bet you have so many interesting stories I’d love to hear! How interesting, I never knew needles were coated - but I agree! I hardly feel any of the shots nowadays! I’m right there with you!
Hello Andrea, the little container that holds the sensor there is a needle inside there so you have to dispose of it in a sharps container. That's what my nurse told me today. I started the libre 2 today.
Hey Andrea. I'm finally coming up to the end of my Freestyle Libre Sensor and I'm now waiting for an upgrade by my doctor to the Freestyle Libre 2 Sensor. I believe this will make my life so much better due to the fact that I will now be notified when my levels are high or low.
I am a Type 2. I was using metformin and jardiance to control my blood sugar. Now, my pancreas has conked out and I am insulin dependent. My diabetic Nurse recommended the Libre 2. If inunderstand correctly, you can use your smart fone and an app to check blood sugar. I am getting my unit today when the pharmacy opens. Andrea, you speak well and did a great job explaining how the Libre works. I subbed your channel. Thanks so much. BTW...you are so pretty.👍🇨🇦
Just make sure your smartphone is one of FreeStyle2's compatible cellphones and that it has the required level of operating systems. Also, if you want to use alarms, you must start the sensor on which you want the alarms to appear. You can have alarms on the reader or the cellphone but not both.
Great video. Interesting to see the only difference is the alarm, definitely a useful feature. Worth mentioning that the needle doesn’t stay in the arm after applying the sensor.
@@ShesDiabetic thanks for the great content. It’s a shame all the ads on any diabetes video are these “cure diabetes with this one weird diet hack” would be nice if we could report them to RUclips but I can’t see a way ...
Thanks! I installed mine today along with you! I don't have diabetes, but I'm hypoglycemic, so I was a little hesitant, but you're right: I didn't even feel the insertion at all, so I had to tug at it a little to make sure it was attached.
I'm surprised to see you trying/reviewing this, since you're such a fan of your Dexcom! Also, I mean this in the most respectful way and not trying to objectify you... but you are just so amazingly pretty! Like your cheerful peppy opening and your smile is just so uplifting and kind.
Oh don't worry - I'm still using the Dexcom G6 - I just decided to review the FSL 2 because so many people have asked me about it! I should have a 14 day recap coming out in the next few weeks! Also - thank you for your kind words! 🙏🏻😄
I got to know about Ambrosia's NightRider Blucon from our endo and started using it with libre pro sensor in place of the reader. And it simplified our life. I don't have to scan ever or prick to get my son's readings and I get alarms whenever his glucose levels are out of range. I can also connect it directly to Apple watch to get standalone readings. Libre sensor and Blucon combo has made managing diabetes easier for me! I surely recommend!!
This is fantastic! It’s all about finding a solution that works best for YOU and your caretakers! So so so glad to hear you’ve found this!!! And thank you so much for sharing this with us here! 💙
My mother has type two and has had this device for the past 3 weeks and with all the instructions and all the stuff in the box it came in I thought I'd need to take a 8 week university course to learn how it works. Now I know I can have her start using it today when she wakes up. Yesterday was her 95 birthday and it was not as planned. Her sugar levels ended up being 278 and she was acting listless and out of it. I had to give her a shot (my first time ever) she has been diabetic since 1997. She has always managed testing her sugar levels and giving herself injections. Yesterday 6/16/22 was the first time she has had to have insulin in about 4 1/2 weeks. Her doctor placed her on a sliding scale. If her sugar levels were below 200 no insulin and moving up in incremental levels of 50 points she would take 2,4,6 etc. However until yesterday her levels have staid between 125 and 150 for one day shy of 5 weeks. Thank you for taking the time to make your videos this has truly been a God send and helps to relieve my monumental stress now that I must now assist her with monitoring her testing. By the way I've met a few super-models and celebrated film actresses in my life time. You are equally if not far more beautiful than the one I've met without their makeup. Even thought about gracing the screens outside of RUclips?????
Hey there! I also use the Freestyle Libre2 CGM. I absolutely love it! I do have issues sometimes with failure but Abbott, the man, is always great about replacements. Sometimes they request to have them sent back for quality so they can continue to improve their product. I came in with the 2 so I have had the alarms since the beginning, I LOVE the security of knowing it's watching out for me when I may not watch those lows or be asleep. I don't know about you but I've never felt more in control of my T2 self, it's nice to feel like I have an edge in helping myself so much more with a CGM! Game changer! Life changer! I've been on it for about a year now & my A1c's are getting better over time! That first time putting it on, yah, that needle! Eww! Most of the time, unless you hit a nerve, you're good and it's not as bad as that needle looks at that SLAM sound! LOL
My son who was diagnosed this year has just done the 2 week trial, loved having it and it lasted the whole two weeks. Hopefully we will be getting the funded by the NHS (UK) in the very near future :)
Great job! Clear voice, pleasant enthusiastic demeanour, I'm ready to review this instructive video with my husband and then get him started. Thank you She's Diabetic!
Thank you reviewing the Libre 2, Andrea, I have been using the Libre for over 2.5 years. I’m just waiting until our health care system agrees to cover the cost for the new version (Canada). I’m so excited to get a chance to try it out! I understand it is more accurate than the original.
You're so welcome - thank you, as always for watching Christine!! I'm glad you love the system, and hope you're able to get the second version (with funding!!) soon!! From my experience thus far (review video coming soon) I can confirm it's been more accurate for me! Wishing you a wonderful week ahead my friend!! 💙
Thank you so much. I’ve been dreading insertion but I just did it with you and it was nothing. Actually a little tingling a few minutes after but fine.
Thank you for making this video and sharing it on RUclips. I've been given the device by my doctor and I was slightly reticent to stick something in my arm - but it's fine.
I have a roommate that has finally gotten this product and opening the packaging I was intimidated. Not so with watching this video you made so nice and easy, Thank you for a very easy instruction process. I look forward to checking in on your future videos.
Thank you SO MUCH for this! I am a big chicken and this was so helpful. Followed you every step. I also enjoyed your relaxed, fun presentation. Made this an enjoyable (as opposed to traumatic) experience ♥
Thank you Andrea , 😊this really helped my first go with this , noting now , my free trial I only received the sensor , nothing else , no reader , not even a wipe 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks for a great review. I especially appreciate your openness about your diabetes and your experience with these trackers. It makes making a decision about switching much easier.
Thank you so much for sharing this..I was paused as to punch it in having the same feels about that needle!! This is my first time using a monitor like this. It didn't hurt. Again thank you❤❤👍🏼👏
Really good video Andrea! I really like Libre 2. It's so convenient to apply and "wear" The main drawback I see is that it doesn't interface with any insulin pump. That is why I switched from Libre 2 to Dexcom G6.
Thank you for the step by step. This is my first time using anything like this and I just followed along with you. I was very scared when I seen the needle but it didn't hurt at all. Finger sticks hurt a lot worse than applying the sensor.
The delay is due to these devices measuring glucose levels in your interstitial fluid beneath the skin. I’ve been diabetic for 30yrs and I use the Libre 2 and the readings are about 3 - 5 mins behind. This is normal it will never be as accurate as a finger prick test but it’s awesome all the same. Love the videos, I think they give people good information on new technologies that help us manage T1D. Keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you thank you thank you! I was so scared to apply my first sensor and you saying it didn't hurt at all gave me the ability to relax a little before trying it myself. You were right! I even wondered if the stamper thing even let go of the sensor patch. It sure did, though. Now I'm just waiting that initial hour. You're my hero!
Thank you very much, just got my LIB 2 cant wait to start 50 years with diabetes first time using something advanced as this way back used urine too check spillage of sugar thur the kidney not very accurate, thanks again
Thank you for sharing your first impressions. Just this week my endo prescribed the freestyle libre 2 to me. It should arrive in a couple of days. Im excited to see how I get along with my first sensor ever and mostly how accurate it is. Wishing you a beautiful day :)
Thank you both for sharing!! I wonder how you're both getting on with the system - from a first impressions perspective - this would be oh so helpful to share - only if you're up for it/feel comfortable though of course!!!
@@ShesDiabetic I just started using it and I’m quite happy so far! There are limitations certainly with this being FGM and not really CGM. But I don’t have to prick my fingers so I’ll happily take it!😁
Hey Andrea I was just prescribed this sensor by my doctor!!! And having watched ur video, I shouldn’t be as nervous putting it on. I’ll go to Costco pharmacy tomorrow and pick up my device. I plan on using my iPhone to monitor the results!! I wanted to take a minute and tell you how much I enjoyed your very entertaining vid. Thanks Tc from Nevada
Love this video. You covered every step of the Libre2 quite nicely! The noise is what scares me, but it also sounds like a stamp machine, so I also imagine that I'm stamping myself with a picture of an animal. lol 😃 I also touched the needle (after use, of course) and it's the thickness of three human hairs -not thick like a finger stick device. This eased my mind, and I don't fear inserting my Libre2! Oh, and watching you insert the Libre1 in your previous video certainly calmed my fear, too! 🥰
Oh my gosh I LOVE your idea of thinking of it as stamping you with a picture of an animal! What an excellent way to think about it and to imagine it! Also so interesting about the actual thickness of the needle, that does make me feel better too! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words, I’m right there with you my friend! 💙💙💙
I have also been using Libre sensor with Blucon and it's super cool as a CGM combo, so affordable solution and comfortable that lets you monitor your metabolic health in real-time without any need to scan!
Hi Andrea! Good to see you again. Thanks for the info on the free style Libre 2. I'm a fan of Libre. Used the 14 day sensor for several months. My heart still hangs with Dexcom G6. Looking forward to your 14 day recap. Thanks again! Go Blue!!
Hi Rex! I'm glad to hear you're a fan - but I'm with you - the Dexcom G6 is my first love for sure!! Should have the recap up soon! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!! Go Blue! 🤚 💙
What a great video. I collected my usual meds from the pharmacy on 13.08.2022 and was surprised to find 2 boxes of Freestyle LIbre 2 which i had been pushing my GP for some weeks. More of a suprise is the fact the dispensing date is 19.07.2022 and yet nobody told me it was waiting for collection! Having watched your video i then came to realise i need a reader!! My GP hasn't prescribed the reader!! When i get it will defintely come back and watch again.
@@ShesDiabetic I think Mykl is right here. I did get somewhat better readings after moving the sensor down some. The site was more sore than usual, at least initially, but the readings were better after about half a day or so.
Nice video, I use Libre and Blucon and love them. The alarms are nice and are loud enough to wake me up. You can adjust your BG ranges to whatever you want. The best part of blucon is I can calibrate it for higher accuracy!
Been type 1 since I was 7 years old. That was 65 years ago. Have gone thru many systems to testing my urine sugar using test tube and tablets, then using urine strips, then blood sugar with finger sticks, and now with the Libre Free Style 2 system. Just applied the first sensor about 45 minutes ago. We'll see how it goes. Hope to give my fingers a rest.
OH MY GOSH!! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Oh how I'd love to interview you - you've seen so much and clearly are an incredible warrior! I hope this does indeed give your fingers a very VERY well deserved break!!! 💙
My wife had these . for 6 months couldn't use them because some had needles , some did not, some needles were laying loose. Company had no idea and said they were not supposed to have needles. The 2 piece contraption would occasional destroy itself, even making sure the black marks were aligned. She is lucky now to have 1 of 3 actually work without falling apart, loosing needles, or destroying itself
I can’t wait to see the 14 day review. I have the Libre 1 and have not wanted to upgrade to 2 for two reasons. First, the cost of the reader, so it’s good to know I can get a free one with some work. Second, I hate the thought of carrying around another device. I like I just use my phone with the first one.
I switched to the 2 about two months ago. I like the alarms, but I do get a lot more of the “try again in 10 minutes” alerts than I ever did with the 1.
@justin Matthews I sometimes get that message, too! I called the customer service number and was told that sometime when we sleep/shower/move around a lot it'll move the sensor a bit and cause the sensor to "go offline". To stop this, I use waterproof adhesive patches over the sensor. Also, placing the sensor in a more secured area of your body helps. I hope I answered your question.
@@catbutte4770 Thanks! This makes sense, as it often occurs when I stand up from sitting awhile. I did the adhesive for a few weeks after first getting the Libre in 2019 but soon tired of them.
Hi Andrea, Thankyou so much for this video. I was so excited to see you were showing the freestyle libre 2. They will be available in Australia in the next couple of months, so looking forward to that. To have alarms will be amazing , compared to my freestyle libre 1, that I have been using for the last 3 years. No more night fears of sneaky bad hypos. 👍❤ (I ended up getting some normality back with my highs by having low carb meals, so have been able to drop long acting insulin back again)
Hi Rex! Oh, I'm excited for you guys to get the Freestyle Libre 2 as well! I totally understand the nighttime hypo fear, as I take great comfort from my Dexcom alarms overnight especially. Also great to hear that you've been able to blunt the highs, that's super wonderful! Fingers crossed the Libre 2 comes to Australia sooner rather than later! 🙏🏻
very explanatory video, thanks for showing how it looks before inserting, the needle etc. btw the needle looked scary. but any special instructions needed like during batch etc to cover the sensor? bath only in cold water or anything like that ?
@Sarah not a good start, dropped down to 3.9 and alarm didn't go off, signal lost connection alarm also not going off. This is using the reader only. It is giving accurate readings though, straight away. Maybe we got a dud?? Don't know why alarms aren't working, have checked all settings.
@Sarah loss signal alarm now working, don't know why it wasn't earlier?? See if the alarm goes off when he goes high/low, at the moment 7 mmol. We use the reader as its easier for me and my partner to both use it, he's only six, so doesn't have his own phone.
Just seeing your conversation here with Sarah. I'm so sorry to hear you've had a rough start with the system and sincerely hope things have settled out now into a more accurate and reliable range. Special, incredible, thanks to Sarah for being so supportive and encouraging during this no doubt stressful time!! I'm so inspired by the kindness in our community - thank you thank you thank you to Sarah and to you for being open with your experience - you are certainly helping people!!! From the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU and I wish you both all the very best and a great week ahead!!!💙💙💙
I have been using the Libre 2 sensors since Oct. 2022. I went to change my sensor on Saturday and when I opened the box and connected the 2 pieces together to install the one into my arm I was SHOCKED!!! I saw the metal needle in there and was stressed because of it. NONE of the ones I had used since Oct. 2022 had a fiber piece in the middle, not the needle so I thought mine was defected... I ended up with 7 with the needle type thing in the middle thinking they were all defective. I even called the company but couldn't understand what they were trying to say since they were in the Philippines instead of the U.S. After watching your video I now know that ALL the ones from Oct. 2022 were the ones that were not right instead of these newer ones...Thanks....
Hi. I've been type 1 since 1966 . 57 years. I've been using the Freestyle libra for at least 4 years and today I recieved the Libra 2. I don't find anything different. Color and sound is all I find different.
I just got my Freestyle 2 from the VA and I am putting it in now. Its FAR better than the mini-med system... And honestly after 30 years with Type one diabetes those needles still scare me too LOL
Hi Andrea, I'm a designer and I have been looking into diabetes products and packaging. I have seen from a lot of videos that most sensor applicators are disposable and cannot be used again. From what you know is it like that for all brands of applicators? Also thank you for saying that the loud click is the scary part, will look into that as well!
Hello! What an interesting job! All the applicators I've encountered were one time use only - correct! It would be most wonderful if in the future they were recyclable at the very least as it seems a lot of waste. And I do think the sound can be intimidating for many. I hope this helps!! Thank you for watching and taking an interest!
Hi thank you so much for this video! I was so nervous and confused about the directions in the pamphlet but this helped me so much!! Also did anyone else also not get a reader with their first sensor?
Beautiful and refreshing face you have. Definitely interesting to see such a major difference in reading. I’ve been using over the counter reli on, so it should be interesting to see the difference if I can get one of these on my arm, lol.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, for sure you want to compare and contrast the readings - but for the most part they align nicely and I only check if I feel physically very differently to what the number is reading.
When I was deciding between Dexcom and Libre back in 2018, I had first through about Libre because (silly, yes) swiping looked cool and it was cheaper, as I recall. In the end, I went with Dexcom because of the alarms, which I need because of hypo-unawareness. I love Dexcom and will be sticking (no adhesive pun intended) with it, but the high and low alarms with the new Libre, might make for a tougher call. (Or would have had it been on the Libre then.)
I TOTALLY get the concept of swiping looking/feeling cooler - no judgment here!!! I think hands down the Dexcom is the better choice, as it provides so so so much more data an customization, not to mention accuracy, but I also understand that sadly, it's not in everyone's budget - bottom line - I'm just thrilled you have something that works well for you! That's what it's all about I think!!! 💙🥰
Money is always an issue so Libre2 is a winner for me. My doctor was telling me she had a patient that had a reading of 129 on her Dexacom6 but the lab she drew was 375. So I guess there àre always issues.
Ok, I just Subscribed. Shouldn't be long before Abbott is knocking on your door. They couldn't hire a better spokesperson, you are smart, gorgeous and about to be a star. Kudos, however that needle scared the crap outta me. Plus I'm wondering about the price of sensors? I understand there is a new Libra 3 out now too. Today is 11/15/22
Thank you for this video! I just got my sensors, first time ever using anything and I was absolutely terrified! I watched you put it on a couple times while holding the sensor to my arm. I was saying 1-2-3 I’m scared lol I finally did it and was really surprised it didn’t hurt! You’re right, the noise was the scary part lol I feel so silly I was scared now 😂 thank you for helping me put on my first sensor 😊❤
You need to wait for 10 minutes before making the comparison readings between the sensor and finger pricking method. FS Libre 2 sensors take results from the interstitial fluid whereas the finger pricking method takes it from blood itself straight away. 10 minutes are enough for these two results to be adjusted to each of them.
Hi Andrea. I have been diabetic for over thirty years, I eventually got my Libra2 last week on the NHS, so luckily I don’t have to pay the hight price for it.
Hi Andrea! Imagine how many people you are helping. Pink nails FTW. Have a great weekend.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Also - pink nails for the win, indeed! I'm going to need to get these babies painted again for the review video!!
Oh yay!! I'm so glad and honored to come along with you and go through it with you!!! Well done to you for doing it - it takes courage!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Glad to know it pushed an alarm I now will get that one thanks and love your videos
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching!! Good luck with your FSL2!! I'll have a review of the system coming out very soon (in the next few weeks)!
Thank you. I'm just attaching my first sensor. Your video was very helpful.
Good for you!! And you are so very welcome!
I just getting started with Libre Freestylec2 sensor. This is perfect
Excellent! I'm so glad to hear it!!
Hi Andrea, I’m a 50 yr old newly diagnosed auto-immune type 1 so thank you so much for the channel.
Just got my first Freestyle of any version and this video definitely helps with anticipation and suspicious thoughts. Thank you, good job!
Oh thank you for sharing this with me! I'm so glad this helped you in some small way!! Thank you for watching and sharing! ❤️
So glad I did a search of RUclips. Your explanation and description are MUCH better than reading the quite long users guide. Thank you?
Thank you for this very detailed (and helpful!) video. You are the greatest.
You are so welcome!! Thank YOU for watching!!
Oh yes - very good point!!!! Thank you for watching!!
@@ShesDiabetic thanks for the great content. It’s a shame all the ads on any diabetes video are these “cure diabetes with this one weird diet hack” would be nice if we could report them to RUclips but I can’t see a way ...
you can even get the alarms with bg values with the combination of freestyle libre 14 day and ambrosia's blucon nightrider.
Seriously? I thought needle stays in the arm. Are you sure?
I just got one and was nervous about using it. You've helped get me past that, thanks so much for the video. Excellent presentation skills.
I wouldn’t say hurt but felt. Thank you so much.
Nice. My father in law just got one and we are about to use it on him. thanks for the info. Very detailed. By the way, beautiful presenter as well.
I hope you reinforce the habit of reading the instructions first and then following the guidelines. Often there are so many useful tips in it!
Oh thank you, Laura! And you are so very welcome!!! 💙
I appreciate your info and exceptional knowledge on the Freestyle Libre 2. I just purchased my first one today.
Thank you Andrea , 😊this really helped my first go with this , noting now , my free trial I only received the sensor , nothing else , no reader , not even a wipe 🤷🏻♀️
Omg her MOTO sold me on the follow lol, very nice vid also.
I'm not sure what you mean - but I thank you so so very much!!! 😍
Go for it, make mistakes and then pay for it later. and i misstyped was supposed to be MO not MOTO, sorry hehe.
Thank you i had the courage after watching your video and i did it on my arm 😊
Thanks for a great review. I especially appreciate your openness about your diabetes and your experience with these trackers. It makes making a decision about switching much easier.
Thank you so much for saying that Ray, and for watching and being here!
Thank you so much for this video! I was so nervous but the video made it so much easier! Thank you!
Thank you for you explanation.
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!!
thank you for this video - my first time getting this as well and it was nice to have a video to follow along.
I'm watching it over and over cause I am scared to push in!!
YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!! I know you have the courage my friend!!! 💙💙💙
@@ShesDiabetic I did it the same night, like you said I did not feel a thing!! videos like this helps thank you.
Wonderful invitation for type 1 diabetic, thanks a lot for this video
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!!
Thank you for sharing your first impressions. Just this week my endo prescribed the freestyle libre 2 to me. It should arrive in a couple of days. Im excited to see how I get along with my first sensor ever and mostly how accurate it is.
Wishing you a beautiful day :)
Heyy congratulations on getting your libre! Just curious as to how you are liking it? I have also been prescribed one very recently
But I don’t have to prick my fingers so I’ll happily take it!😁
Thank you very much as I just got this and was wondering how to do the insertion part.
Awesome video. Thank you for it very helpful 😊
You are so very welcome, thank you for watching!!
I was told not to put the sensor that far up. Better readings 2-3 inches from elbow. And I do get better readings
I need to try this...
Interesting - thank you for sharing this!!
If you do try it Justin, let us know how it goes!!
@@ShesDiabetic I think Mykl is right here. I did get somewhat better readings after moving the sensor down some. The site was more sore than usual, at least initially, but the readings were better after about half a day or so.
When I put mine in today it didn't hurt at all. I too was nervous about it hurting when you put it in your arm
RUclips made me watch a Domino’s Pizza commercial before I could watch this video. The irony is not lost on me.
Omg! The pizza bolts!!! Eludes me every single time!!! 🧐😅🍕
I got mine a few months ago and its not that different tbh just my opinion but I am very thankful the alarms help a bit
I’m feeling the same way throughout my use of it!
Nice video, I use Libre and Blucon and love them. The alarms are nice and are loud enough to wake me
up.
I like I just use my phone with the first one.
you will get the alarms on your phone with the Libre2
Hi Andrea,
Thankyou so much for this video.
Great video, helpful for first time user
Inserting first Libre 2 this evening on my son, have waited since October 2018 to get this, hope it was worth the wait 😄
Love this video. The discrepancy worries me. Did it get better??
It did, I must say. It was pretty accurate overall, but we all have different physiology so I’d say try yourself to be sure!
Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the review!
Thank you for watching! The review should be up in the next few weeks!!
Hi. I've been type 1 since 1966 . 57 years. I've been using the Freestyle libra for at least 4 years and today I recieved the Libra 2.
I don't find anything different. Color and sound is all I find different.
I have been using Libre2 for about 4 months. I have never had one come off (yet). My HgbA1C went from 6.1 to 5.9.
That’s awesome!!! Congratulations!!!! 🎈
I got nervous too! LOL
I know!! The sound is the worst - I didn't feel a thing but the needle gets me every time!!
Thank you so much for the video God Bless you and continue to take care of yourself.
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words!! You take care of yourself too!! 💙
@@ShesDiabetic thank you so much :))
Yes, I though it would be a little needle, but I didn't feel it at all when I popped it in. The needle does look huge tho, but it's not bad
Thank you! Clear presentation!
Nicely done; thanks much
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching!
