- Iran launched a mass drone attack on Israel, with some of the slowest flying offensive aerial vehicles deployed since the Zeppelin raids of World War I.
The result was the loss of the majority of the drones, with very little damage inflicted on targets.
But the attack served a useful political purpose for Tehran, and it suggests that massed attacks of low cost drones against sophisticated defence systems can be stopped, but ironically, may also be useful politically for the attacking nation, even if the attacks fail.

There were ballistic missiles, not only an umbrella of drones, and they hit the targets. The drones attracted the costly Iron dome missiles while the ballistics hit the targets, including the home of Israeli f35s.

Wow, you are a great engineer. Your analysis was so accurate and the exact reality. In summary you said:
Iran doesn’t have the technology to manufacturer bombers on its own and due to sanctions, it can’t buy them from other countries.
But it can indeed manufacture ballistic missiles and slow moving drones and it has manufacture a huge number of them. Iran has vast numbers of them but has zero bombers and fighter jets.
Now it needs to respond to Israel which acts as just a warning with absolutely no damage.
The solution would be to use bombers instead of ballistic missiles.
But Iran has no bombers and it just has ballistic missiles.
So how to decrease the lethality of ballistic missiles?
If slow moving drones with an advance warning of 8 hours (a crazy long time and much longer than bombers) are used, then Israel has capabilities to almost intercept all of the ballistic missiles which come afterwards.
After this Iran will be considered a heavy attacker as was it labelled “the biggest ballistic missile attack in history” which would be very beneficial for Iran for its domestic usage.
But Iran was fair in this too: It was great for Israelis and Americans as well. They could get a 99% success rate in neutralizing the dangerous ballistic missiles which is a real feat too… If they can do that, then what else they can’t do? Hence it was such a great announcement for Israel and the US as Joe Biden also confirmed it by congratulating Netanyahu for “the win”.
Meanwhile some conspiracy theorists claim both Israel and Iran as the only non-Arab countries in Middle East, need each other against so many Sunny Arab Muslims: For decades they have just barked at each other but behind the scenes, they love and appreciate each other all the time and every single second.
Both Iran and Israel won in this show and now Israel can go and can calmly continue killing Palestinians while Iran can embolden its crackdown on “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, as both happened immediately after this show..

Great analysis but Iran did launch ballistic missiles too. Half of which didn't take off or carshed on their way according to the US government. Somewhere between 9 to 15 got through and hit their targets.

They hit one of the most well defended airbases in the world . If Israel still had escalation dominante why would it not escalate? It’s because they don’t . And the US would find it very very difficult to support them in a long war without significant public descent. Not to also mention the fact that Iran was shut down the entire oil production in the Middle East by cutting off the Strait of Hormuz . Why was the Israelis response so muted??

Cost effective. That's the word. Israel spent billions just to shoot down Iranian cheap drones and missiles. Iran gains valuable information about Israel's defence capabilities. And Iran proved they are regional military power.

First of all, the Islamic Republic of Mullahs is NOT equal to IRAN, I know it is hard to split between a nation and a bunch of Islamic fascists who are in control of the country, but as an Iranian I want you to differentiate between people of Iran and fascists religion regime.
Second, the regime pushed hard to damage as much as possible to the military infrastructure of Israel but they were completely unsuccessful, this unsuccessful attack was not intentional, they failed to achieve their objectives outside of the country because help of allies of Israel.
So you may ask why they warned the whole region before the attack. because the last time that they tried to attack without shouting down airports they attacked a passenger plane(Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752) mid-air, and they denied it for 3 days, so they didn't have the balls to risk another incident.
Third, it is very inaccurate to compare the politics of a first-class country such as the USA which is based on freedom and democracy to the politics of a third-class country such as the Islamic Republic of Mullahs which is based on the text of the Stone Age prophet and imams + anti Imperialism and communism faith of 20th century, I lived almost 30 years in this country I know what low-level people are in control, please don't fall into the trap.

There are so many mistruths in this video, I don’t know where to start. You repeated the propaganda Iran put out that this attack was not intended to do harm, and yet state that the attack was for local public consumption, even though there are no secrets in that country or anywhere. You underestimate the intelligence not just of the US, but of the IDF. But the other part of this story is that the IDF’s counterattack got Iran to show its defense cards, similar to how the US got the Iraqi self defense systems to show their frequencies with slow helicopters at low altitude before slamming those systems with anti-radiation missiles. While this discussion will get the uninitiated locked into RUclips profits, it may well commit the same mistake CBS did by hiring a consultant who said the Abrams tank would just suck sand in the desert, for Desert Storm. Reality is that US systems are tested in the real world, problems are uncovered and fixed, or redesigned. Turned out a sand filter was implemented and those tanks performed admirably. Not that thePatriot missile system then was very effective and I know why and the engineer that worked on a mod for missiles, because it wasn’t originally intended for targeting Scuds, it was designed against aircraft. I will say this, there are radars and LiDARs than can track targets at all speed regimes and altitudes. Also, the Patriot system designers plus their IDF team members have perfected that system, not just in ground sensor performance, but also missile embedded sensors. The IDF is incredible and you should watch their channel for a different perspective than just drinking the Iranian koolaid.

Iran hijacked a stealth US drone over the ocean. I don't think they lack the capability on the contrary they could have used the modern tech missiles where a single missile goes to space and releases multiple stealth glide vehicles which re-enter the atmosphere with a ultra high speed and unpredictable flight path that can't be intercepted. Iran has stock piles on stock piles of these kind of missiles. I think the Iranian and its allies want the Gaza massacre by the IDF to continue. This will increase global out cry. Israel exists cause of the west and US money, weapons and support.
Once the west public support ends so does Israel. The whole Hamas attack was to lure the Israeli and there allies into a massacre of PALESTINIANS in anger and colonists mindset.
