Another great & high-quality build, congratz and thanks! I do not want to imagine how many hours of grind it did take for you to put this together. I fully agree with you that with the introduction of DotW, testing builds and getting ideas to work are becoming an unfun drag. I don't think that savescumming to get the right grace + starred effect was fun either in the DLC1 era, but it was at least accessible for everyone. Now it became an even bigger RNG fest to get everything you want even just for testing. I have been using your Vengeful Ronin build since the middle of DotD - which by the way works awesome on DotW as well in its original form, albeit it does not shred bosses that quick as it did on DotD, it is still very fun and let me breeze through DotW without much challenge. I would like to tweak Vengeful Ronin a little bit and upgrade Benzaiten to Susanoo, but I'm simply not getting drops with good stats that match my weapon/armor preference and/or have grace inheritance with Susanoo. Oh god, oh god, five stars for your video, I started playing it 8 months ago, and this video really covered 80% of my questions about the game, Thank you very much for posting, great job 👍👍👍
Yeah. There's no reason why you should ever have to farm a boss hundreds of times just for a piece of gear or for a combat art. I can understand why they just don't let them throw the combat arts out on the first or fifth try. They want you to replay the boss and really learn how to punish it. But its gotten way out of hand now. Its going to get to a point where hex editing is the only practical way to play this game with the gear and load out you really want.
I'd really like to see a death dancer build bro. By this point, I can honestly make builds for myself as well as almost anyone; but nobody covers all the technical aspects like you do my friend. Appreciate the hard work!

Good job on the build man but yeah the grind to make a build is just tedious, I agree totally with what Pwar said and now you seem to agree as well, its rather exhausting.
Normally I'd be okay with a long-term grind in a game, however the game just doesn't justify having that process at this moment in time. I really hope they address this in the final DLC
Maybe i missed it but you dont have increased attack winded enemy. Its a must have. Flat ~20% dmg buff when enemy is out of ki. For demons you dont need deplete both ki bars but only one for it to activate. You can get it on scroll or as a star roll on helmet. Other than that amazing job as always.
How the hell did you do the guardian spirit talisman into the fireball almost instantly at the beginning of the video? Insanity! Great video, thanks for doing what you do!
There's actually no trick to that! Usually you would animation cancel certain jutsu by using low cost yokai abilities (for example, Ninja Feathers into Oni-b), but the Flame Dragon can actually be used immediately after Guardian Spirit Talisman
thank you for sharing this build sadly alot of player stop playing nioh 2 because of ton of RNG worst than any Gatcha game they just play dlc once 17:51 like your said and project this really painful to farm i don't think team ninja will fix this soon
Funny enough, I've been using a very similar build since the game came out. Yorik Armor+Water buffalo helm, an no graced Fire fly Odachi with transform Constitution and auto life Moonlit Snow. I also use fists with transform Constitution. Basically the same rolls on armor but my scrolls are no where near as good as yours. It's a Con+Heart build with only three talisman and no attack buffs. Boss can't kill you if you have unfairly high life recovery.
Amazing video bro, I'm just trying to slam through Demon and about to hit Wise, very excited for the new drops :) Can I ask a stupid question... What would be a quick way for me to get to max rank in a clan? I've been playing a lot but not a lot online, should I go for expeditions or random encounters? Or even just farm revenants? Cheers!
Hi ! Why playing with purified spirit and you dont have purified weapon but water one ? Or i miss something ? Thx for the vidéo by the way and sorry for my english
Hi Xeno, by the time you did this video, didnt you know that grinding and farming on Onroyki + Magara scroll is faster ? Just kill the Onryoki and use Earthfolding Talisman, hence and repeat, i could get around 150 ethereals in around 1 hour, that is using all the gears that i want with lucky drop, im doing this with Onmyo or Ninjutsu, so weapon isnt really a problem.. In DotN, im using Sukunahikona 7p on weapons and accs and ethereal drop rate scroll.. Im just wondering tho if you knew this method at the time you made this video.. Great universal build btw, i just reached DotN and currently farming for Susano + Izanagi set..
Where can we get orange Inheritable Shuriken and Kunai Damage gloves from revenants in nowdays? You could post an updated poison kunai build video for the way of nioh! Can you make a revenant with those equipments?
Appreciate the guide and walking through some of the whys and whats :) I really wish you captured some footage of how tanky the build is tho. Showing damage numbers on certain hi damage enemy moves and grapples against you for perspective's sake - especially since it is a tank hybrid build. Also a few clips from regular gameplay when youre not stacking buffs would have been cool :) This is coming from someone who's only two acts into WotW where putting this together will most likely mean wearing whatever dps grace set the rngesus throws at me (I'm actually close to the water grace) and filling the gaps with the highest defense armor available - so starting with 150 stamina and ultimate stamina and building from that. Any suggestions ?
Even though you can focus more on damage, this build is had more than enough damage for me. Getting confusion up as fast as possible is a big priority i gather. Are familiars the fastest way to apply elements do you find? How are feathers compared?
This looks fun, late to the vid but was wondering: Is this build possible on the first difficult? And if possible, what attribute spread would be recommended?
Hey what spear abilities are the ones where you jump in the air spinning it and then slam it down, and the one where you do a falling attack? I haven't seen either of those and they both seem really good.
Why should you have equipment weight? And why would you try to have that many toughness? Ultimate stamina already unlocks maximum toughness and agility, e.g. you can get 101% equipment weight without problems and without having to reforge toughness/weight on any piece
Ultimate Stamina does not give you AA Agility and Toughness. It unlocks those ranks. You need 350 Toughness to achieve AA Toughness. The equipment weight increases your damage via Damage Bonus Equipment Weight (A)
You have to craft it or it's a random drop. You'll h have to craft it, use a rarity inherent to increase its rarity, use a grace inheritance to choose the grace you want and hope you get good stats on it. This is part of the rng problem the game currently has.
Small hint: while cheating sucks and shouldn`t be done for most people (you will kill off the experience and fun), in your case, if you wish to continue doing these builds, you might want to use cheat engine or a trainer (FlingTrainer) to radically increase drop chances and by consequence shorten the grind by a lot. This is of course only possible on the PC version.
Really a good build thank u for all of ur effort and putting ur time to give us great builds i made ur fist build took me 3-4 days to complete and now am gonna make this as well hope that i can finish it fast lol Btw one thing Amma change on this build is is ill replace running speed with untouched omnyo magic on all of my armor cuz it well become handy on long missions i guess if it procs
I am still struggling in dream of the demon. Even after switching to a tankier omyo warrior build. I just don't see how people play through Dream of the Wise. The enemies in Demon still 3 to 4 shot me.
Gear roles help. The testing system in this game sucks so you have to find someone who can help you farm attack or skill dmg. If your struggling use gozuki core to destroy enemy Ki bars and then then beat em up from behind.
I have a similar build, but I couldn't get the armor with thr grace I wanted. Did you think use Onryoki soulcore to mitigate damage while attacking is worth it?
This is an ideal build, but end game isn't worth it due to crappy RNG. I went with dream dancer plus versatility, that was good enough to beat all dotw missions. Now waiting for final new dlc, see what new graces come out.
Great build Xeno 😁 kind of reminds me of your vengeful ronin build but combined with susanos Versatility and with the extra tankiness Say are you planning on an improved ninja build? Would be sick to see one in the future
Also, I wanted to touch on the rng and issues with farming: the way you covered it, was, I think, very realistic. For a content creator, you said, making specific builds can be frustrating; and I get that, I totally do. However, for me, i just love this game. I live alone. And though I work 40 hours, I don't really have much else going on. So I play nioh 2, and read, and play guitar etc... but I just enjoy playing the game. I love the combat, I think there is no better combat in any game. And it's a good time killer, and it keeps my mind off of crippling depression... I can understand if you want to get specific items, with specific skills, etc; it can be a drag. But I just play the game, and work with what I get. There's no fight I struggle with, no matter what I use, and there's so much variety and freedom of choice; so I can always work with what I have. However, as someone who literally lives on nioh 2, I'm extremely frustrated with Pwar, and all the people that just want easy OP builds, so they don't have to put effort into playing the game. It's ng+++, it's SUPPOSED to be very difficult. It's not for everybody. And I understand the frustration, but what would you have TN do? You can't make all the best gear and everything just drop on a whim, that takes the fun out of playing and trying to get the best stuff. People complain about farming, but offer no reasonable solutions.... and that dude just sounded like he was whining tbh... I can see both sides on this argument, but what frustrates ME, is all the negativity. Can't you just play the game and enjoy it for what it is? Imo, too many gamers in today's climate have been coddled by Mtx. They can just buy whatever they need, so they think the game should just give it to them. I don't play a single game that has even ONE microtransaction, so I'm used to playing the game until I get everything by playing. I won't touch any of the big AAA games that have all these trends that are ruining gaming. I play classics, and I'll play a game I enjoy for months or years. So I guess I don't understand the "I want it NOW" mentality of every day gamers. For thorough content creators like yourself, I get the frustration: but how do they fix it without destroying the game? I'm totally cool with you voicing your complaints because you were practical and professional; Pwar just sounded like a kid that can't have what he wants when he wants it, and I reject that kind of mentality. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you shouldn't make the people who have never loved nioh 2 more than they do as it is, feel like we're wrong, or feel like we're being attacked because we love the system as it is. Idk how to approach this, but you're a cool ass dude, so I wanted to put in my 2 cents and see what you think. Ty as always
I honestly only have the game's health in my interests. The main issue is within context of the bigger picture. The playerbase has drastically declined, and, as with Nioh 1, TN wait until towards the final DLC to implement the most engaging features. And now, the RNG is exceptionally high with more and more added to the table, whilst they actively remove features such as trading. My solution: It's actually not that complicated. Make it easier to obtain the graces/rolls that you want. Not EASY, but easier, in terms of actually having an avenue to do it that isn't entirely RNG dependent. From here, you can add the challenge and cost to upgrading this build. This is something I already expect them to add with the final DLC, similar to Abyss in Nioh 1 and what they have now with accessories through the penance system. Obtaining the build, not so time consuming. But powering it this build up, time consuming and challenging. This would allow people to make build templates, which would benefit content creators AND the player (you can make a base version of the build, test it out in lower difficulties, see that it's working right before you invest in it). So basically, like you, I do not mind investing time into the game. I just feel the process can drastically be improved, because currently it is not as enjoyable (or worth the time) as it could be.
I have hours upon hours upon hours in Nioh and Nioh 2 and I dont know how you upgrade your clan bonuses. I fight every blooody grave on the map every time and I donate to my clan all the time.
You are probably at max rank and dont even realize. When you check your rank, do not go to transfer (where it lists all the clans.) just press R2 to change tabs at the hidden tea house, middle option. It will display your personal clan rank
It's more likely to happen at lower levels if you're just doing main missions, yeah. But there will be a balance where the higher level missions reward massively increased XP so your level should normalize eventually
Hi guys, my English is not good enough to understand everything in this video. Could one of u write down the gear and all the stuff so I can read it and translate to build this also ? Would be very nice. Thank u
I can not understand how you take 2 set bonus. One with 6 pieces and one with 7 pieces. I think you can have 1 bonus per item and the total items is 11. I missing somethini important?
Mmm maybe new player build? Im sure sohaya armor set is lovely but for the most part even after main game theyll prob be around 190 - 200 for abit unless they grind lol
I really dont know why they made farming so hard in this game. It's not like its an always online experience where you have to put players to the grind to keep them as paying customers. Just make it easier for ppl to have fun.
I made a tonfa death dancer build, and it was fantastic with Mystic Dyad and instant demon dance. However the Tonfas themselves were lacking in terms of damage compared to other weapons
If getting hit is an issue, just use the benkei set with the chest piece swapped out for another light piece (you'll get the benkei 7 piece bonus with a yasa). For the other graces, use a 2 piece set piece for each item for the 358 hp (That's 5x 358 bonus health). Get melee dmg vs corruption enemy on both accessories and dragon dance dmg on all armor pieces. You can spam dragon dance against every yokai and kill them easily. You will have issues against humans sometimes.
I mean it's still Nioh. Nioh gives you reasons to rage quit which is it's style. However, it's massively superior to the first Nioh. So if you LIKED Nioh, you will love Nioh 2.
@@Xenoswarm thank you. I liked everything else, I just hated getting killed by bats pushing me off a ledge or getting hit by a dude that was hiding behind a corner. Like I realize it's probably nearly impossible to beat this kind of game on your first playthrough without dying but the things they add in to just kill you in ways that were unavoidable on your first playthrough just felt cheap
It sucks that they made the game so grindy because I really love watching your build videos, but I completely understand not wanting to do more. I wish you were playing on PC were you can just edit everything and don't have to grind anything if you don't feel like it.

My solution:
It's actually not that complicated.
I just feel the process can drastically be improved, because currently it is not as enjoyable (or worth the time) as it could be.
what is the% of the weight bonus? Great build!
New to Nioh 2, How can I implement this for early game or is this build for NG+?
Dude do you think you could drop your character creation code? I really like the way your character looks
the claws is DLC?
I have hours upon hours upon hours in Nioh and Nioh 2 and I dont know how you upgrade your clan bonuses. I fight every blooody grave on the map every time and I donate to my clan all the time.
You are probably at max rank and dont even realize. When you check your rank, do not go to transfer (where it lists all the clans.) just press R2 to change tabs at the hidden tea house, middle option. It will display your personal clan rank
@@Xenoswarm I didn't try this. I'll try it later. What is max rank?
Edit: thanks for the help and comment. Appreciate you man.
@@Xenoswarm I am max thank you I've never noticed that.
Do you find that ultimate stamina adds that much value?
is it normal to be under leveled in nioh 2? I'm on lvls that say recommend 65..and I'm just 50?
It's more likely to happen at lower levels if you're just doing main missions, yeah. But there will be a balance where the higher level missions reward massively increased XP so your level should normalize eventually
Hi guys, my English is not good enough to understand everything in this video. Could one of u write down the gear and all the stuff so I can read it and translate to build this also ? Would be very nice. Thank u
English is the only language I speak and it still isn't good enough to understand half of this
@@er9875 What are you finding hard to understand. The way I speak, or the game terms used?
@@Xenoswarm just terms
This build in a nutshell.
Nioh Weapon selection: Choose you’re weapon.
Xenoswarm’s Waifu: Yes.

Anyone know how to find more transform bonus stat rolls? I’m having a hard time finding any in DOTW.
I can not understand how you take 2 set bonus. One with 6 pieces and one with 7 pieces. I think you can have 1 bonus per item and the total items is 11. I missing somethini important?
Some Magamatas have a bonus to reduce the nescessary number to get the buff in 1.
So he got 6 pieces of 1 and 5 of other.
@@Ghostscar thank you for the answer
How are you doing so much damage? What attribute? Transform bonus?
onmyo buff stacking + saturated + confusion + unbroken stacks + versatility + playing well.
Can I ask your friend to switch the game to Russian and show the build ???
Where is teh thumbnail from?
Mmm maybe new player build? Im sure sohaya armor set is lovely but for the most part even after main game theyll prob be around 190 - 200 for abit unless they grind lol
what mission drops ethereal governor so i can farm that heavy armor
what is the name of the song? 0:11
How do I get 190 weapons?? I’ve got all 190 +30 armor but have never found a 190 weapon
Divine 190s drop pretty frequently when playing with Level Sync on or doing very high scrolls
Ok, thank you
I really dont know why they made farming so hard in this game. It's not like its an always online experience where you have to put players to the grind to keep them as paying customers.
Just make it easier for ppl to have fun.
I wonder if this build work on Nioh 1 too
im thinking tonfa / kannagi, death dancer.
I made a tonfa death dancer build, and it was fantastic with Mystic Dyad and instant demon dance. However the Tonfas themselves were lacking in terms of damage compared to other weapons
@@Xenoswarm aah shame. Well I'm fresh out of ideas. XD
great job smart player.
If I ragequit the original nioh several times exclusively because of getting hit by enemies I couldn't see around corners, will i hate this game?
Relax bro this is insane I can’t even solo this game I always have help
i would be scared to find his grave if he even has one in nioh
It sucks that they made the game so grindy because I really love watching your build videos, but I completely understand not wanting to do more. I wish you were playing on PC were you can just edit everything and don't have to grind anything if you don't feel like it.
Well there goes my no nut november
