I just had a lightbulb moment because I haven’t been sleeping good the worst I’ve slept probably in my whole life and I’m starting to gain some weight because it seems like I’m always hungry and I never put two into together. Thank you. This was really informative.

Loved this video. Could you give any advice or do a video on how to feel full and satisfied if lack of money means food is really limited? What would you prioritise and how might you plan meals round this?

Good question. The economy is causing people all over the world to have to buy less at the supermarket & ration their food/buy less. I know I'm really struggling in that area

@@aussiejubes me too and especially the healthy stuff unfortunately. Vegetables are astronomical and as for fish or meat forget it.

@notmyrealname6272 yes. I'm working on buying good food but less of it, but then if I'm hungry that means the only food available to eat when I'm hungry & the fruit has run out is bread. I have IBS so I end up in pain. I'm trying to figure it out but it's literally a painful trial & error 😂 plus I'm trying to lose weight & I don't want to be forced to snack on toast. Unfortunately this might just be a moment in history where just need gi tough it out if we aren't wealthy. Or force ourselves to love carrots. They're always cheap here. I could eat carrots 5 times a day!

@ oh gosh poor you. I totally understand. I have coeliac disease and of course there are Gf Carbs (more expensive) but like you when money is v tight cheap carbs have to be the go-to option. I’m really sorry you’re in this situation. The only hell I can give is sympathy. I also love carrots haha

Here's a food that will NEVER scare me.
    6oz. strawberry kefir
    8oz. strawberries
    1/4tsp. strawberry flavor
1Tbsp. sugar free strawberry jello mix
    1.5Tbsp. monk fruit sweetener
    4Tbsp. whey protein isolate
    Blend with ice.
A super strawberry anabolic milkshake scratches that itch wonderfully.

Lucie! What is your take on homeopathy?

I don't think it's actually effective, however the placebo effect can work wonders and I don't think it's hurtful either :)

It can take up to 2 hours for my brain to recognise I’m full and often by then, I’ve over eaten and then I feel uncomfortable. I eat a home-cooked med diet, so it’s not about UPF, and I gave up restricting intake years ago.
However, I don’t sleep well and I’ve been hypothyroid for years and for the past year, the levels have been fluctuating between hypo and hyper and we can’t get it to settle, resulting in my weight ballooning. I feel quite despondent.
Ways to remember scientific words: grehlin = grumbling tummy, leptin = loaded! Another is cholesterol, HDL = happy, LDL = lardy! 😂

The sleep and hypothyroidism can definitely impact the fullness feeling, but also make sure that you are taking as much time as possible to eat your meals to give your brain time! And love the mnemonics!

I've heard that a hunger hormone in this stomach causes overeating. Is this true?

    • @Edukalebylucie
      @Edukalebylucie  День назад +1

If there's an imbalance like I talked about, the ghrelin hormone can be elevated and cause overeating. But it's not the only factor!
