A big thank you for your series of great and informative videos on the Ace Pro. I've been using it now for 3 months and love it. Your videos added a lot to this!
Great video man, quick question for you. I’ve had the ace pro for awhile now, and I’ve found terrible results with auto settings. It seems like the ace pro is always trying to change the iso and it causes a lot of flickering, and the shutter speed is always all over the place. Any suggestions??
I actually just came back from a hike and found the same. The video looks like crap and it keep slowing down as if it were in slow mo then speeding back up. This is my fourth test of hiking videos and each one was awful to watch, like a million little dots constantly flickering. Need to get this right, only have a 15 day return period, and so far does not suit my needs.
If the lighting conditions were good, this sounds like a defect in the camera. But if the pictures were taken in very poor lighting conditions (e.g. in the forest in the dark), it could also be image noise. @@pat2383
@@MountMediaChannelthanks for the reply. I'm going to play with settings a little more, but I wouldn't have considered it dark, it wasn't a particularly dense forest...I'll report back if I find something that works for me! I really WANT to love this camera!
may you tell me which fps and regulation is good for vlogging? i used ace pro but during editing i can see some pixels when i moved. i used 30 fps and 2.4K in addition reduce sharpness to meduim
Thanks for this. I’ve just bought one of these for filming rivers in Scotland’s dairy country. Given there will be slight colour to the water (from the farms and banking erosion) can you tell me if you’d still go for 4k 30fps and HDR? It won’t exactly be low-light but it’s not California either.
A quick question. I like to film my late night highway drives and motorcycle rides. Would you recommend 4k60 so not to lose any detail or 4k30 because of it being night?
I've upgraded from the GoPro 8 to the ace pro, but to be honest the ace is very grainy, ive tried all the different settings, yet it still seems to have worst quality then my hero 8. am i doing something wrong?
You should mention that ace pro is not for vloging or selfie videos as it doent focus properly to close subject. you are not focused on this video even using a selfie stick, thats a greatest flaw on this camera, i almost wasted my money watching you and buying one on your recommendations.
As with all action cameras, the focus is set to infinity. As the sensor of the Ace Pro is relatively large for an action camera, the close-up range is out of focus - this is the same with the Action 4, as it has the same sensor. Normally, the shots are in focus and sharp at arm's length. However, the camera should not be any closer. In low light, the footage can look a little blurred - but this is due to the noise reduction. But it's good that you say that, I'll be more aware of it in future.
@@MountMediaChannel yes, I have a hero 12 as well and it focuses very well, it doesn’t have the focus issues that the ace has, but hopefully insta 360 will notice that and release a software update
@@twowheelsr6but this is not a software related problem, it's the combination of the size of the bigger sensor and the lens. So no update will help. You can only put a macro lens on it to solve it.

Are you going to make this video for the Ace Pro 2?
A complete tutorial coming soon
Very helpful for a newbie to Ace Pro and action cams!
Very good Review and hints - thank you very much
very good video... very clear explanation.. but the insta360 one rs 1 inch from Leica should be more powerful, because of the larger lens
Thank you for this video. Have you come across ‘performance mode’ in the app? Perhaps only affects the app?

Are you shooting in low light? Flickering with artificial lighting?

Great sharing for the best setting Insta360 Ace Pro, Thank you... 👍👍
Thanks for your video!
Do you know who to enable that the Insta360 Ace Pro is charging from a powerbank during recording?
Thank's for the exhaustive explanation!
спасибо ! Ваши рекомендации очень помогли мне в настройке моей Ace pro ! 👍👍👍

4K60 !!!
I know it's weird, but don't know why you remind me about agent Smith in The Matrix.😅 Thank you for sharing knowledge.
This is very useful. Thank you!
Perfect explanation! Thanks!

Yes - I think during the day that should be fine

thanks I'm getting mine on Tuesday😀😊🥰👍👍👍
A quick question. I like to film my late night highway drives and motorcycle rides. Would you recommend 4k60 so not to lose any detail or 4k30 because of it being night?
Neither
Use the pure video option
You can thank me later 😉
Than you. How can you create and shoot panoramic photos with the ace pro?
There is no feature for panorama photos
SUPER valuable video, thanks for sharing!
Question does this camera have a 30 minute record limit before it stops and starts recording again?
No tiene límites de tiempo de grabación
I've upgraded from the GoPro 8 to the ace pro, but to be honest the ace is very grainy, ive tried all the different settings, yet it still seems to have worst quality then my hero 8. am i doing something wrong?
Very helpful. Thank you!!
Can you shoot in 8:7 and crop video for all platforms like the go pro?
No - the Ace Pro sensor is bigger but does have a traditional format
Ace pro does have a Free Frame video mode which can shoot for portrait and landscape formats at the same time.
what about video output? I want to live stream 4k/60fps and need to do green screen with video camera. Can this camera output 4k 60 via the webcam?
A stupid question, how can I ensure my footage is always horizontal? What setting should I use
Hold it horizontally and then activate the rotation lock
Great video 😊
I personally found faces to look weird with HDR on... It's like the tone mapping is too extreme
Well done
Superb thank you
Looks like new firmware has released for the Ace Pro, time for a video update? Please 🙂
Yes, I know - but there are hardly any new features and nothing has changed in terms of the ideal settings.
@@MountMediaChannel understand, thanks for your efforts 👍
thank you very much
Thanks 💯
Intéressant
Could someone please help me, I can't find the sharpness setting

Agree that’s the only thing I don’t like.
: How close the object must be to the camera, for it to focus?
