I wish it had a log color profile. I think I might use my iPhone 15 for some things over this camera because of that. But it’s still great to have in certain situations like in or near water or attached to a car where you wouldn’t want your phone.
Great video, exactly what i was looking for, straight to the point. What kind of editing did you do for the footage showcased in this video? You mentioned it was not log, so did you achieve the log right in the insta apps built in filters? Da Vinci resolve filters? Im finding the real trick to creating good action cam footage, is mastering the perfect combo of editers, filters , presets etc. Any insight? Thank you!
No log means no log. You can't create log in the edit. I just used my DepthScape LUTs (geni.us/vYqN) on top of the footage and a few manual adjustments where needed.
Can you use it to film yoga classes?
The watch is highly redundant in my opinion. A phone or connectivity with other watches is much better
Thanks Pascal, another excellent video, thanks, I always find them helpful. I have a question though, it’s genuine! You dismiss ND’s, however, even if as you say they don’t have a place for action cameras, specifically video action, this camera is more than just an action camera, it’s marketed as such and I use mine for a wide range of non-action uses, it’s so go and using it only for action would be an under utilisation, in my view at least, for what it’s worth! Sometimes you just cannot expose for those highlights in camera, in say a external talking head vlog. So an ND is sometimes the only only option, Isn’t it, please prove me wrong because less is sometimes more where gear is concerned? Thanks again, your videos are very well made, oh and do you edit in post, if do is it a LUT, might take a look if so, maybe you’ve made a video on this, i’ll look at your channel page to see. 📸👏
You don't need an nd as you just raise the shutter speed on such cameras (or they do it for you in auto mode). Then you add motion blur in post if you want it.
On Resolve da Vinci what type of color management do you use to color these videos?
None, it’s not log.

Thanks for a great review in special locations around Thailand. I am just starting to appreciate the quality and features of this Action Cam. I have found that the Video quality is best in H.264 than H.265. Have you found a degradation when using H.265? Thanks.

Great video Pascal. But why does everyone have to overdo it with the teal & orange look. Why not use normal colours for your introductions, announcements etc.? For the B-Rolls then use the T&O look, but not for every sequence. Otherwise we find it boring because everyone thinks everything has to be exaggerated with fake colours that don't exist.
I love orange and teal, so I always use it.

Iv had my ace pro for about 3 weeks. My First camera. It’s fun learning about it. I take it to a park some evenings and practice with the settings and work on transitions. I know absolutely nothing about cameras. This video is very helpful. Thank you!
