This is a great thing for us. I owe him an apology. I said he should resign, but his ego wouldn’t allow it. This is the best thing he could do for UCF.

As frustrated as we may have been with Gus, UCF had one of the best offenses in the country the entire time he was our HBC.

Im confused, ive read reports that the contract states that even if he resigns UCF still owes him 75% of his compensation until the end of the contract minus what he gets from his new employer.

That's a shame really, I always liked Malzahn but results didn't work out. I really am not sure what went wrong, we had talent and potential. It seems UCF always worked better with less and better as an underdog. Sounds similar to FSU's story where they imploded with all that talent. I wish the guy the best, but then again at least he won't be hurting financially.

How about Sumrall + Frost as OC? That’d be a killer combo.

Bittersweet. I was hoping it would work out. Our recruiting is going to be a mess. Coach Malzahn will be closer to his grandkids and have a lot less stress.

The real answer to how the "business side" of sports works is via the head hunters = aka the AD & Coaches agents.
They pull the strings to make it happen so they continue to earn a vig on all their clients...

It's just sad, but he looked so frustrated. I liked him a lot but I think it's now best for all.

    This means UCF is…
The most attractive HC job out there right now, with the most upside, and with no buyout it means they have the same salary they payed Gus to come here
This has been the craziest year ever, I doubt the fun stops with who they pick for the next HC
    😂

You guys were staying there was no way UCF could move him.

      No one saw this coming.

Technically he moved on from UCF, which I don't think anybody had predicted or thought was possible

Wish he went to a different state. The inroads he made with recruiting in FL will hurt us a little. They probably agree to part ways.

Based on no money exchanging hands, there had to be an agreement. In terms of Gus, Florida State usually recruits well, and him being on staff probably helps, but it will be a result business

Let’s push the rumor… Prime’s coming home to the State of Florida 😂

We can look at this as a long-term outlook or a short-term outlook...Short-term, I hate Deion Sanders... Long-term, do you know how good that hire would be for UCF (who cares how long he stays)? TV exposure alone would be worth the money! Ask anyone who hated the Deion Sanders hire at Colorado. It was a net positive, period for them!!! And it would be the same for us. my fingers are crossed! Hate all you want, but if you love our University and long money you'll understand what I'm saying. If not maybe... Frost?
Please remember, we have money now, a new stadium in the works, and we are in central Florida...we will just buy a team. Watch what I say. It is the only way!! And there is no way its not part of the plan. Welcome into my mind and just give me credit once it happens.

Excuse me...A NEW STADIUM IN THE WORKS??? We've only been in the Bounce House for 17 seasons, why do we need a new stadium now?

P.S.: Neon Deion Prime Time Sanders is not some miracle worker head coach. He dumped the *entire* team he inherited into the transfer portal, inserted his sons (both graduating and leaving, btw) into the starting lineup, and literally bought the team he has now. If he doesn't follow his sons into the NFL (seeing as how he's followed them everywhere else throughout their football careers so far) and takes the UCF job he'll just do the same to us.
