Hey sir , I am first year apprentice and can you please tell me when you open inlet screen system is on positive pressure? And what pressure is safe when we open inlet screen . Thankyou
Positive. You must always pump down the system/circuit/loop before attempting to open it in any way. Anything above 15-20 psi will be more than you can hold sealed with your hands/fingers/muscles. 50 psi becomes loud and scary... is capable of really hurting you under the right circumstances. 100 psi can deliver a fatal projectile that can kill you. Above 100 psi, an immediate opening or rupture is that much worse. Never use your torch on a line unless you KNOW it has 0 psi. But also because open flame and refrigerant vapor = Phosgene Gas(deadly). Cut into the line somehow(tubing cutters... Anything) before applying heat. If you try to Unsweat a pressurized joint, molten Silver solder will projectile outward as soon as it is hot enough. There is so much to this stuff. Be careful, don't guess on anything. Use the internet to answer even your most basic questions if you have to. Welcome to the industry!
Man, when you are working with a package system and in super market like that you should have it replace with a new one instead of cleaning it. I don't know if its your own line of service or you're working for someone.
Wow!! That is a crazy plugged up TXV screen!
Gotta love the costcos
I service em on the east coast 🤘🤘
Cool. Nice to know that you service them too.
👍👍👍👀🇺🇸
I carry new once so I can do a quick swap. This way the case is not open too long
What solvent are you spraying to clean txv screens?
Braklene Autozone

Do you have to pull a vacuum after that repair before you start the system again?
If you swapped then quick, the case will be in positive pressure. That’s all I will say about that

I'm just an employee for a huge corporation, and I have no say.
