Thanks Jeremy. I’m 84 & just bought my first keyboard, a Yamaha PSR-E373. I’m trying to pick up where I left off 70 years ago. It’s fun this time, but I’m overwhelmed by the technology. You taught me to get back to basics with my piano playing. Thanks for that. Everything will get better with practice. I’m enjoying all of your videos. Thanks again.
Fortunately they boot up into the default grand piano setup, so you can power-on and immediately hear something you expect to hear upon pressing the keys. Then you can slowly figure things out one feature at a time.
In my search for a new keyboard I have gained a large degree of respect for you and your commitment to teaching the keyboard and all its possibilities. You have a well balanced nature, fortified with truth and humility.
Great Jeremy, I think this is a good way to show to the public in general that arranger keyboards are not just things which make music by themselves, that they require work to deliver good music and, on the other hand, will help interested people to learn how to play on them. Keep on with these videos!
Thank you, Jeremy, for the trouble in putting together this easy to follow tutorial. I find this tutorial very helpful for me and more many out there. Really appreciate. Hope to see more of these easy to follow tutorials in the very near future. Have a blessed and pleasant days ahead.
Hi Jeremy! After a longer break of practicing my arranger keyboard, I discovered this very useful video! It meets exactly my interest! I am looking forward to, to find more videos from you, like these!! Best, Ilona-Arabelle
Hi Jeremy I'm a Filipino and I am very very thankful to you because all your video in RUclips are very realistic and also informative. Ì will Subscribe your channel now. Youre the BEST buddy!!! I have Yamaha PSR E363.
So helpful Jeremy :) I got my new PSR e463 yesterday. I need help. Your knowledge and teaching is fantastic. More tutorials for this range please! You're amazing!!
You are a Good Keyboard teacher. More videos like this one please. Can you please give us a tutorial on how to create and play prelude interlude and also the small bits that is being played with the song on Keyboard so that we can create and apply it on any song.
Thank you ! Very helpful :) I will be using this often. My brain and hands not getting along at all. Most days they don’t speak to each other. I appreciate you name the keys as you demonstrate. I am almost totally blind, but determined to learn this keyboard!
I am getting the sx900 as a beginner. I know right but I decided to go this route with a keyboard I can grow up with. I've been looking for a good tutorial specifically aimed at arrangers so I'm hopeful to pick up good skills here!
Hi Jeremy, this is a very nice tutorial with useful exercices, please do more tutorials like this one 👍 Would you consider providing some sheet music for these scales and arpeggio? That way, beginners would learn to read notes as the same time as they would learn some keyboard skills. There was one person who did very nice arranger keyboard tutorials but it was a long time ago. It was Karen Ramirez, who was a professional demonstrator and teacher for the Roland Music Atelier organs, an instrument which had great arranging capabilities (but was also bulky and very, very expensive). She did very nice RUclips tutorials, including some lessons on harmony. Regards and keep up the good work 😎
Great exercise! Thank you so much for sharing. Please show us also a tutorial on how to set the beat/rhythm, voice and style of the Yamaha keyboard. Thanks in advance.
Jeremy I love the way you teach. Do you have a series of beginner videos to give me some structure? I am currently a one man band for my church and I play the acoustic guitar, but desire a broader sound so I am exploring the keyboard. I own a Yamaha PSR-463 and know a few chords. Thanks
Can you add more content on how to play arranger . May be step by step tutorial on playing songs on arranger. Content of this sort is so limited on youtube
Good on you Jeremy.. Too often i think us Keyboard players are seen as "poor relations" of pianists.. Arrangers are fantastic instruments imo and deserve to be taken seriously!! Keep up the good work!!
👍 thank you sir for this valuable tutorial. I am one of your listeners and I have subscribed your channel for last long time . I have Yamaha PSRE 463. I have a problem. Which keys should I press to get it restored si got it from the company in it's very new form when no settings were made. I can say how to get it restore factory form. Once again repeating how to reset Yamaha PSR e463 . Sar you are master of keyboards, please help me reply me. Thank you. T. Chahal from Punjab and
I see that you have a microphone on your shirt. I would be interested to know what material you are using to make your videos. Audio and video is very good.
Yeah you're right. I've never came across tutorial specific for playing on arranger keyboards. Its quick way to "sound nice" without first mastering hand coordination. Many people give up because it is hard to play and sound good without ton of practice. Looking forward to more tutorials
Hi Jeremy I live in the UK, and i have a budget of less than £300 to spend, please help ! I believe you are a teacher and have students of your own. What if a student who happens to be a total beginner, has vaguely played on a keyboard, and asked you whether he should purchase the Yamaha PSR E363 ...or... should he purchase some OTHER keyboard, which would be suitable to him as a beginner, in your opinion and according to your experience and advice. Please keep your answer uncomplicated and name the correct keyboard for me ! You have great videos, great demos, great advice.....10/10 Thanks
Hey bud, almost all of my beginner students start off with the E363. Touch sensitive keys, friendly interface, above average bread and butter sounds and rhythms in a lightweight, pocket friendly package.
Hi Jeremy, I am interested in buying your course for arranger keyboards, you say that I will be able to play songs like pirates of the caribbean. In the course do you teach how to choose the styles and voices for the type of song? For example, do you have a playlist with famous songs where you provide me with the score and the styles and rhythms that I have to select on my keyboard? Thanks
The detailed content listing for each and every lesson in my course as well as the songs I use to teach are at the bottom of my course page at www.jeremysee.com/keyboard-course
Thanks so much for the time and effort you take for videos like this Jeremy. It’s a 2 year old video and it’s now December 2020 but it’s still something important to learn. I’m gifting myself a keyboard for Christmas 2020, a Casio or the Korg EK 50, and I’d like to re-learn sight reading and reading music notes. Which software would you recommend for IPad/IOS to re-learn the basics of music notes/theory (staff, clefs, notes, rests, sharps) etc??? I learned it years ago in high school and I’m ready to get back on the horse...😀💎, again thanks for all the hard work you do making these videos...💎💎💎👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hello Jeremy and thank you for this video! I have a question about non playing finger position: I noticed that you keep your not playing fingers out of the keys, as do I (I'm a beginner keyboard player), as it both keeps me safe from accidently pressing a wrong key and gives me momentum if I wish to play forte. My teacher (a pianist, not a keyboardist), however, say that this is a bad habit, and that I should keep nonplaying fingers on the keys, but this is extremely difficult, if not impossible to me. So... is it OK to leave nonplaying fingers away from the keys (in the air above the keys)? Many thanks, Yaron
That's something that will take a very long and detailed tutorial. I'll see if I have time to do the tutorial. Do give my videos a thumbs up and subscribe if you have not done so.
Sir... many of my students asking me. Many psr e463 user's asking me if the programs of the guitar voice in psr e463 is error in polyphony.. pls answer me.. did u ever try it? Psr e463 can't handle 6 notes at desame time using guitar voices.
Thanks for watching! Scales and arpeggios are so smart and helpful. 😊🎹🎶
Thanks Jeremy. Keep on with these scales/ I'm starting over at 75 so need all help you can give.
