I want to know how to suspend oneself from longing of intellectual achievement like name, fame and recognition. If there is no longing of intellectual pursuit, our development will stop.

Pursuit of knowledge is ok to have but without the drive for name and fame. By knowledge only you will realise what is real happiness which maybe be different for different person.

If desires are the root cause to disturb our default state of happiness... what are the sources of the desires?? our senses... our ambitions??? our society?? is the source also inside thing?? or external??
desires...?? how to stop or indifferent???total confusion 😅
