    It’s so refreshing to spend a half an hour touring an outside garden without even moving from my computer screen. Bloom after bloom and not a little weed or dead flower among them. Thanks, soleil!❤

    Stunning garden. I love this time of year. My garden is tiny compared to yours but I try to cram in all my favourites like the Hydrangea, Rhododendron, Hosta, echinacea. Etc. The Hydrangea are so amazing one minute just bare sticks then loaded with leaves and flower buds. ❤😊

    Saturday morning in Suburban Oasis. I need to get out in my own garden, but not until I’ve had my tour. I’m not very creative so I need your ideas

    I love the little chipmunk running around, back and forth, at about 10:30. Chillin' in the garden with Soliel ❤ (I hope I spelled your name correctly)

    Had to finally get rid of my Lily-of-the -Valley. It ruined some perennials and had an enormous root ball. Will never plant that again!

      Yes, sometimes they can more so in northern climates. The darker leaved ones seem to do better with more sun.

    How about filling the birdbaths A lot of people forget how indispensable is to have water in the garden for the birds at all times. Thank you.

    • @Suburbanoasis
      @Suburbanoasis  7 месяцев назад +1

      They love the water in the fountain ⛲️ and that is always full because I have to put water in it every day and there is a bird bath that always has water in it that they bathe in. The ones without water are more decorative than functional.

    Good Sunday morning Soleil, the garden is looking beautiful 😍… I just bought a Let’s dance can do hydrangea 😊 I’m in zone 5b, northwest suburb of Chicago.
    Wondering how much sun yours is getting

    • @Suburbanoasis
      @Suburbanoasis  7 месяцев назад

      Pretty much full sun and I would avoid putting it in an afternoon sun as it will wilt on got days due to the sun. It perks back up, but that is just how those hydrangeas go...

    Love this time of year!
    Also, I really appreciate seeing the scale of plants in your lovely gardens.
    I’ve purchased been purchasing liner plants that I uppoted and have overwintered nicely, that now need uppoted (preferably planted) but, ughhh indecision has taken hold!
    Do Ninebarks fair well with full morning sun until 1pm only?

    • @Suburbanoasis
      @Suburbanoasis  7 месяцев назад

      As long as they get at least 4 hours of sun they should be good.

    Everything looks great! Do you have trouble with your lily of the valley spreading too much? I have had mine for around 10 years and I am now noticing it is getting into areas that I don’t want it in. I find it hard to pull out as the roots are very deep.

    • @Suburbanoasis
      @Suburbanoasis  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, it is invasive in my area.
