    23:29 What’s in the greenhouse now
    In this video, we'll walk you through the simple tasks of gardening in May. From deadheading our tulips to make space for new growth, to admiring the cheerful blooms of Geum and the lush foliage of Ajuga providing great ground cover, we'll show you what's in bloom and how we care for our garden.
    You'll see us (well, Lars) getting our hands dirty, weeding and tending to our beloved plants, and sharing our excitement as we discover each new flower. From the delicate petals of Iberis to the vibrant hues of Phlox and Wallflower, there's something to delight in around every corner.
    We'll also take you behind the scenes as we move perennials to optimize their growth and give you a look at the unique foliage of Euphorbia Amygdaloides 'Purpurea' and the charming blooms of Dodecatheon meadia.
    And of course, no garden tour would be complete without a visit to our greenhouse, where we'll show you what's growing inside and share our plans for the summer.
    Don't forget to subscribe and follow to see what's growing in our garden.

    Thank you so much for the video. I am amazed you don't use mulch. When you explained your plants are close so you don't need it that makes so much sense. I am older and it is getting costly and hard to mulch every year. I am going to try your method of close planting. Thank you. Everything is looking great in your garden.

    • @perennial-garden

      It really works well for us. Even in our first garden, we didn’t mulch. Planting tight keeps the weeds away. The only “drawback” is that we find we need to move things often - when plants grow large, etc. But that’s ok 🥰 and gives us more free plants.

I bought my anthriscus silverstris from a nursery in a small pot, repotted in a larger vessel for my balcony and it has been growing and blooming to no end. It's a pure joy but does that mean it will die this year? If yes, and since all my pots are in a balcony and I am not able to depend on it self-seeding, how can I propagate it? Cuttings maybe?

    • @perennial-garden
      @perennial-garden  Месяц назад

      We’ve never taken cuttings - and I’m not sure you can… as the stem is quite hollow and wouldn’t work so well.
