Hi CP, thanks for your upload. Looking at the progress of the works over the last couple of years, I'm really appalled at the state of progress and quality of the work. Yeah the brick-laying does look shoddy. But, these contractors, Buckingham, and the new one, they work Bass Ackwards; look at how many times work has had to be redone, not only for quality, but for the lack of planning. E.g. that wall that's been done the side of that house, that planted area needs to be completely redone, they've wrecked it. Look at how those Forever Stones have been damaged by workman, and grounds-staff. Look at how many times they've ripped up re-laid paving blocks to work on the services like drainage, sewage, electric cable work, the panelling has only recently been replaced because it leaked. Look how many times they've tarmacked an area, ripped it up, the tarmacked again. Each of those grey panels would take about 5 minutes to fit with an electric screwdriver and they've taken over a season! The contracting companies and different tradesman on this project have been shite. The little jobs that are left needing to be done, if they employed enough tradesman to individually do those jobs, this stand could be finished in 1 day.
In the time that these contractors have pi****d about on this one job, this one stand, Everton have just about built a whole f'ing stadium!
@@trigjosh I was there last year buddy and the workers were dragging fences over the stones shocking especially when they are respectful memorial/ memories stones I know it’s not memorial but please have some consideration
@@philbeattie1623 Yep, I saw Greybeard's clip of the stewards dragging metal fencing over those stones. The next upload, the stewards were carrying the fencing, so it looks as though that clip outed them to their management.
@@trigjosh funny cause it’s true
@@Istanbully23 Yep, and this bass-ackwards bit? That back row of seats that's just been installed in the A.R.E., there's a concrete riser missing for about half the stand just underneath. Doesn't seem finished, but still installed the seats anyway, just to take them off again when they can source the concrete risers and install them.
@@trigjosh the mind boggles , what’s going on with this….
Wow just wow the state of that brickwork and finishing 🤦♂️
Thanks for checking that out for me mate, it's appreciated. There's no real issue with the stones which will clean up nicely when all the other work is completed and my understanding regarding the grouting is that the whole area will be given a heavy sweeping with dry sand grout which is pretty standard for brick pavers etc and will fill all the gaps between the stones. The red brick pavers on the road had a load of the dry sand grout on them which was swept off but formed a compact filler for any gaps on the road. Just one last thing regarding the additional seats installed at the back/top of the lower tier, the flat section at the SKD end is where the additional wheelchair bays will be. Each wheelchair bay will have one seat for an attendant. 👍
PS: The work done yesterday replacing the missing bricks etc is truly shocking. Fortunately the cement on the bricks should brush off when dry but that's not the point, it could have been wiped off with a wet cloth before it set. The guy responsible should never ever be trusted to work on his own again, there's absolutely no excuse whatsoever for such a shoddy job.
Spot on comments.
It’s a shame that the club has used a load of cowboys to complete these important works.
The unfinished front panelling on the left of the stand roof does my head in every time !
And on the right hand side. The workmanship on this job is really depressing.
The difference between etihad extensions and this are worlds apart
Just like the teams!!
@@andrewgurney6019 🩵🤜🤛
Shocking is not a big enough word to. Describe the. Quality of this expansion
Thank you again for the brill updates . We appreciate all you do . Stay safe mate 🙏 YNWA
A bit rough around the edges la, not surprised they have no new signings!
Where's Yosser Hughes when you need him!!
Why you hanging around on Liverpool videos and trolling like a 12yo, you’re obviously an old Manc.
WTF..... I could've done a better job of that bricklaying and I'm in IT!!!
Come on who is managing these final jobs!!!!
😂😂😂😂
That's a very good question, somebody must be in charge of this job.
Liverpool FC should know about how bad some of this finished & unfinished workmanship is. Utter disgrace if you ask me. Thanks for the video. I appreciated
Send Liverpool some of Colin’s videos 😁👍
It really is unbelievable for a club the size of Liverpool mate , absolutely shocking finishing and overall job
Bro therw is still going to be an inspection... you have to remember what happened with this construction the 1st contractor going bankrupt while in the middle of work. Getting another coming in
what shoddy brickwork round windows if that was on my house i would play up hell
Việc chọn nhà thầu thi công năng lực rất quan trọng
Still not done the cladding or brick work it's diabolical that this stand ain't finish yet
Mad that its late August 2024 (a year on from when Buckingham went off site) and its still not completed for the first home game of the season. Cladding, brickwork, seats at the back of the lower AR, fencing still up between stand and Stanley Park. Those forever stones look shocking. You'd think for Brentford Sunday it would have been the grand fully opening. Expected it have been completed weeks / months ago with the road fully open etc.
Liverpool FC should build a multistorey car park where the current car park is holding up 30/50k cars this will bring in revenue also a link bridge to the club be great the carpet would help with future events concerts etc
Mate I’m not a brickie but it’s shocking please ask a bricklayer app-ion ,
That private company that did John Holding wall should take a look 👀 😂at the mess
Totally agree. what a shambolic standard of work on the stand.
Im not a brickie either, but have worked in the building trade for over 30 years and i would be amazed if a brickie done that
Hi I’m a bricklayer of 25 years and it’s absolutely shocking the standard of work on this stand. If I’d of produced that standard on my jobs over the years I would have been kicked off the job. This is poor workmanship and also down to the management also 👎🏻
@@cp-overview where is the QUALITY CONTROL by Rayner Rowen?
No words for that brickwork/finishing
I love Anfield , it's history and atmosphere but compared to the main stand build this Anfield Road extension has been painfully slow, very shoddy and a 2nd or 3rd class rebuild job that frankly has become a bit of a embarrassment..I see that Batmecelona have almost ripped down and rebuilt the Nou Camp in 2 years with Barca expected to move back into the ground from January 2025 and the stadium will immediately hold 60,000 fans rising to 105,000 by July 2026 when they complete the upper tier and new roof.
If this hits its deadlines then Barca have demolished and rebuilt a 105,000 seater stadium in 4 years whilst it's taken to date Liverpool over 3 years just to add a extra 1 upper tier and enlarged concourses to Anfield and its still not finished out and complete.
I don't think you noticed CP, but they completed the capping brickwork under the large window toward the main stand end yesterday.
They have indeed
Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world... if we look at trophies and fanbase... but look what stadium Real have look what Barcelona going to have... Man Utd plan to rebuild or have new Billion pound stadium.. there is news that Arsenal planning redevelopment if they stadium.. look what stadium Atletico have look what stadium Tottenham have... Chelsea gonna have new stadium or redevelop Stamford bridge... but Look at Liverpool with 2 new stands 2 old ones it looks weird... the time they take to just finish 1 STAND EXPANSION is disgrace... and the news around Liverpool says that this may be it no further expansion... Anfield compared to those teams stadium that i just mentioned looks just poor... maybe just move away and build new stadium was better idea....
Nice to see your videos mate
Must be at least 115 missing bricks!!
As you were la
First home game of the season on Sunday so defintitely worth seeing how the stadium will look for that game.👍
At 1:49 it's surprising how much builders material you can still see through the window.
Thanks for uploading!
The workmanship in some of the areas is utterly shocking for a new build,in the time we have almost done annie road Everton have almost built an entire stadium.
Crazy the amount of time annie road has took an by the look of it still some time to go before its finally complete,i wish they would do something with the pink faded seats in the main stand an the KD bottom rows best 9f luck this weekend lads lets Goooo.
YNWA
yes Anfield is a joke of a project, should have never been expanded they should of built the new stadium behind Anfield FSG being cheap as usual. on the kop if you can not stand and sing for the entire duration of the game then you no longer belong in the kop. the kop is meant to be feared you can not achieve this if you have pentioners and tourists only the very hardy Liverpool surrporter's should be there
Wondered what STEVIE WONDER was doing nowadays ...on the Trowell I see
Hope they do a better job of looking after these stones than the ones outside the main stand.
Please tell me they aren't leaving those 5 rows with the old faded seats in the kop when the rest are all shiny & new? 😳
Costs too much to replace
❤❤❤❤❤
Anfield road was ment to be 100% done at the beginning of last season. Over a year late and its still not done plus the workmanship is absolutely horrendous in places.
Shoddy workmanship m8
looks like they have used the wrong colour mortar in the pointing round the windows & it has also stained the brick faces, what a mess.
The windows look like they open on the ones that need sil’s but there doesn’t look enough room to fit a window sil and the window open still if you look
I was thinking that yesterday, but I'm sure a thin bit of uPVC would slip over.
@@aquissuk I am no builder but usually window sills are about an in or so thick and there doesn’t look that much space. It could be deceiving on the video though. Looks a tight fit
@@Philtymo My guess is the plan is to use grey lead sheeting similar to the capping at the top
They do look like they should open, it definitely looks like hinges on the right hand side
@@cp-overview yeah but looks like the window sil would be a tight fit for them to still open
Who did the brick work Mister Magoo.
Who is the group contracters doing Anfeild?? It's just a terrible job and it's been taking too long
Great video as per ususal mate - thank you. Are there more seats going along top of bottom tier on the top right-hand side??
Keeping the birds away seems to be more important than finishing the whole shit 🤣😂👍
Cho ông nào hoàn thiện một í t phần gạch đó vậy tay nghề kiểu gì vậy trời
😍😍😍
It's really too bad for a big team, the design of the stands doesn't allow for a full view of the fans😢
Bruh you go on match to look the fu game not to look at other fans Lmao what are you talking about.
Imagine if they ever do decide to expand the SKD or Kop 😂😂😂😂
strange the the back 2 rows are not rail seats in the lower anfield end
For one of the biggest clubs in the World it's a disgrace how poor and slow this build has been. Did they get Yosser Hughes to lay the bricks!
Are the club just trying to do it on the cheap?
Knock it down and start again 😂
LFC❤
Has everyone see the brickwork on the SKD stand, next to the ARE. The contractors damaged the brickwork and they repaired it with different colour bricks, and it looks awful. Far worse than this job around the windows, which is also poor.
7:19 ‘Ambulant disabled’
Im sure that pitch is getting narrower every season
Jesus Christ. The one working there just left it like this.
cowboy buider who put them bricks in
A shambolic attempt to have it ready for the beginning of the season. They had all f-kn summer. And the design where the corner meets the Kenny stand is just plain ugly.
Appallingly bad quality of work.
cowboys
@Istnbully23 "Emptyhad" is paid by a state who has more billions than all none oil countries could ever dream of. As a woman I would never travel to that country. For me I don't care, at least we don't have to buy fans plastic baby blue flags to wave. In terms of true fan support they are worlds away from Anfield and will never catch up, Pep would swap their extention for Anfield atmosphere at the drop of his hat.
Too many faded seats throughout the ground and badly done jobs. Not a good look for the club & the owners 😡
Mess of stadium & complete laughing stock of a redevelopment project
thats bad work on forever stones
It’s only the pointing, wouldn’t be a difficult fix at all
shamble bulit Liverpool again a laughing stock of football. unlike Everton. cost built money etc.
The build has been comical beginning to end, ish’ 😂. It’s a good job we do our talking on the pitch because of it we’re a laughing stock
