If you haven’t checked out Ryan’s solo records you really should. His playing in scary pockets is fantastic, but he is an absolutely phenomenal writer and solo artist in his own right⚡️
Wow, Vulfpeck's such an amazing band that even their best cameraman is great musician! Seriously though, awesome collection Ryan! Hope to see new Dead Wax episodes again some day because seeing you and Jack geek out always makes my week
Love Ryans band and videos. My favorite to date is David Ryan Harris and John Mayer live with the band. Wow, had no idea Jack Conte was a genius founder CEO of Patreon. Incredible.
For people wondering his amps - he uses a vintage fender Harvard and vintage Kalamazoo model 2. Sometimes uses an austen hooks filmosound 385 projector amp. Not sure if that's what he uses live though.
for those unaware. Crucianelli made some weird shapes but they also made gibson copys in the 60s, they went by ELLI SOUND, ELLI CUSTOM, and ELITE. Italian guitars from the 60s are some of the best vintage gear you can buy, another brand is EKO, they also made guitars for a little company called VOX in the 60s.
I built myself a stereo Magnavibe-type vibrato, except I used two unsynced LFOs, one per side. Dual-ganged pots are used to control speed and intensity for the two circuits, simultaneously, but the LFOs only occasionally, and only momentarily, line up in or out of phase. The rest of the time they are a little off each other by an unpredictable amount. The stereo Magnavibe amps use a sort of ping-pong approach such that the two sides are counterswept in sync. As nice as countersweeping is, unsynced LFOs is where it's at. The resulting stereo field is *very* very lush. And even though the individual vibrato effects are quite modest, in stereo you just want to move in and live there. Recommended.
Great Video! So, what happens if someone steals the Klon that he doesn't know, "if it's worth the exorbitant price"? I wouldn't borrow it for that reason.
400 bucks the one that got away.Early 60's Melody maker with a killer neck and an added PAF in the single pickup Les Paul junior position. Bought it for 400 and like an idiot I flipped it for 650.One of the best guitars I EVER owned. He's right old wood and Kalamazoo quality. If you can find old Melody Makers or Epiphone Olympics and a fair price BUY THEM. The other trick for an un routed guitar is find a Seymour Duncan or other boutique pickup maker who sells small but nasty and powerful humbuckers or single coils with more wire winds and hotter full er sound than the wimpy stock pickups. That's a drop in no route fix.
Keeping an original Klon on your touring pedal board is just dumb. I don't think any player is of the belief that a live audience can hear the difference between that and the cheapest clone of it you can find, so it's 100% a status symbol. I almost hope someone steals it.
You’re a dumbass. Pros don’t care about that sorta thing. It’s not like a fragile guitar. It’s a pedal. It’ll be fine. No chance of thievery on a stage like this plus dual lock

What a hero - groove to the max and killer tones, always serving the song and singer

I was wondering in the DRH video whose other much bigger pedal board that belonged to

Wish he would’ve touched on the Shallow Water a bit more!
Is he related to lance Lerman of lsl guitars? If so, kind of surprised he doesn’t have an lsl on stage

FINALLY
Where does the pedalboard go stereo?
Appears to be a mono to stereo splitter/ switcher at the end. Most of those pedals aren't stereo compatible.
nice board!
Lerman 2025!

Awesome, tho they didn't use that guitar on Sgt Peppers....
