The Best Way to Play Gambler 8... but it's still annoying - RDR2 Blackjack Challenge

Gambler 8: the blackjack challenge where you have to not only hit for at least three extra cards, totaling five, but you also have to beat the dealer and not push. I loathe it. I decided to try to knock it out outside of my regular live streams for Red Dead Redemption 2, because I had no idea how long it would take and figured it would be pretty boring. Not to mention, being able to watch some TV at the same time definitely helps a lot.
There's not really a sure-fire way to get this done, outside of just standing up and sitting immediately back down with high cards, which shaves off a lot of precious time skipping most of the rounds' animations and other players. I just stuck with only playing hands that are less than 15 from the get-go. 80-90% of the rounds in my attempt resulted in 'get up and try again', the majority of which I left on the cutting room floor.
Took just under a couple hours to complete, which wasn't too bad, but it's probably the challenge I've disliked the most.
