U can work as a non-training at st3+ level with MRCP, but for training, in order to become a consultant, u have to start at CT1/ST1 level even if u have cleared MRCP.
Hi, Will you please clarify my doubt!! Is it better to move to UK via plab after completing MBBS in india and begin from fy2 to become surgeon or move to UK via MRCS after completing MS in india to higher surgical speciality training (ST3) to become surgeon?? Which one is best? Please help me...
I am Dr. Ishita Mondal, MBBS graduate in the year of 2020 from India. Currently I am working as a Resident Medical Officer in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I will be moving to London in August’22. In parallel, I am planning to appear for PLAB (Part A) examination in 2023 and taking preparation for the same. I have few queries regarding PLAB and GMC to start my career at UK (London). It would be really helpful, if you can kindly clarify the queries below: • Can I work having dependent VISA as a doctor in London, whereas my husband will be holding ICT Tier2 skilled work VISA (LT) • Can I get any jobs in London as a MBBS graduate with only English test certification till I clear PLAB (both part A & part B) and get the GMC registration number? If yes, then how to start searching
@@faiqmedic2283 Thank you Faiq for reverting.... when I searched on some alternate option, something health care assistance or observer related jobs I could see. but not sure whether those are directly related to our experience level. Do you have any idea on that by any chance, i.e. - if those options can be chosen for temporary basis
MRCS isn't a good path for doctors in my opinion, the resources of MRCS aren't sufficient, there are no good books like for USMLE, most books are outdated and contains wrong info. They are mostly exhaustive because you have to read large textbooks. Even the Royal college list of resources are silly, they list large textbooks as materials for exam. These don't work in exam. Many candidates 70 % fail because of this.
I am final year mbbs student and highly confused whether to give plab right after mbbs or do pg in home country and then appear for mrcp/mrcs. Plz guide it would be a great help🫡
hey i am from pakistan. i have already started my postgraduation training here. i want to take mrcp. but not sure where would i stand in uk after clearing mrcps 3 steps. do i have to do my training all over again in uk ? what options would i have after clearing the exam
I Have a ques....will u help plz! If i go to Uk after completing mrcpch.. Then what will be my post? As far as i know they dont count training from india or Bangladesh.. I mean if i can't show satisfying documents related to my work experience or clinical knowledge.. Then from which level will i start my career in UK? From FY2 or CT1 or ST1??Do i need to seat for MSRA??
I am currently doing my general medicine (third course) from armenia (europe) ,is there any need to give PLAB for me ? I will complete my graduation in 2024 because general medicine is of 6 years and i read about PlAB in GMC ( general medicine council) that UK govt will replace that exam with MLA (medical licensing assessment) ,will it be necessary for all participants to give MLA?
Thanks for the Video, My Doubt: I am an indian, currently Doing MBBS from Philippines(1st year) and Want to do PG from UK(by giving PLAB ofcourse) and then want to settle in India. So if I want to come to India, do I have to give any exam? Or Before going To UK and pass MCI/FMGE exam to get medical degree in India. If it is, what will the procedure.
If you want to go to the UK directly after medschool you'll have to do the FY1 and FY2 (internship) and then apply for CST which is 3 years. And then depending on what your choice of specialization further 5-6 years. The confusion lies here, MCI states that if you did your MBBS or equivalent under grad studies from any other country but the UK, USA, Canada, Caribbean's, Australia and New Zealand you'll have to appear for the FGME exam. So idk if after doing your post grad education in the UK you can qualify for the exemption or because you did your undergrad in the Philippines you'll be expected to do it anyway. Also remember one thing, India doesn't recognize internship done abroad and vise versa.
Hi sir! Just to make it clear. I already graduated medschool in my country. I'm eligible to take MRCS since I wanted to go to surgery? The reason is I already spent another 1 year of internship on top of my 4 year medschool and I am now working as a medical practitioner for 1 year. So I've already spent 2 years after graduating and I don't want to have another 4 years from FY1 to CST2 then another 8 years in specialty training.
You need to have a minimum experience of 2 or 3 years (I mentioned the exact figure in one of my videos) in the specialty that you want to be trained in. So let's say you want to start ST3 General Surgery, you need 3 (or maybe 2) years of experience in general surgery and the certificate of competence to enter training, which you gain by practicing in the UK for one year. That's the criteria.
When you apply for ST1 level jobs or Core surgical training, you get to choose the specialty in which you want to work. If you're interested in general surgery you will only apply to those jobs, then according to your CV, you will get invited for interviews. İf everything goes well, you will begin your training as a surgeon in the UK. You have to take MRCS to progress from ST 2 to ST 3 or CST to ST3. Please watch the videos for more details.
This video clarified soo many of my doubts

I don't think Indian pg can replace the CT1/2 criteria for training.
Is Post graduation in India sufficient to replace the core training ( for students who have cleared MRCP) ??
@@arbazalam27 No..

I don't know about the visa part, but there is no way you can practice in the UK without a GMC registration.

Hi , if person has already done DM from India. Which exam need to do .
Sir if a person has completed his mbbs from Philippines n after completing he wants to go UK for PG then is it compulsory to attend mci test
No, not at all!
MCI test is required to practice in India. Since you want to practice in the UK, you don't need to take the MCI test.
Can we give mrcp after mbbs
No, you need one year of experience before you can apply for it.

The new regulation states that all medical graduates from EU universities or IMGs will be exempt from writing PLAB.
Can I take in this way. For mbbs guys - PLAB is the better option. For PGs MRCP is the best option. Pls Correct me if am wrong
