      🤔 if its a new bike you will void your warranty get all services done by a motorcycle centre until your warranty runs out at least .

    100x easier than changing the oil on my ktm RC 390. Glad to be a part of the Kawasaki family. #ninja650

    Thanks for this video man. Just completed the oil change on my 2020 ex650 and used the Kawasaki oil kit with the 2QTs. Ran the bike for a little after installing oil and filter and it’s still not going to the top line after cool down. Saw another commenter say they heard it may be about 2.4qts? I have my bike on stands so it should be level. You think it just needs a little more oil?

      @poweroilcenter  11 месяцев назад +2

      Upper middle between the lines and you should be fine, but do not over fill! See 6:40 in the video if you aren't sure. THe first time you start it, oil is pulled into the filter, and will lower the oil line between the lines.

    I changed the oil on my 650 Ex 2022 and the check engine light came on. It's not flashing, just sitting there. First oil change at 500 miles. Any hints or tip on it?

    • @poweroilcenter
      @poweroilcenter  2 года назад +1

      Couple of suggestions for you: 1: make sure the oil in the sight glass is flowing when the engine is running. (if the filter was dry when you installed it an air bubble could have snuck in. It's rare but we've seen it). 2: if you haven't doe any modifications yet, bring it to a dealer and have them look at it under warranty. Let us know what you find out!

      I just changed my oil following this video and ordering the Kawasaki oil kit with 2qts and after running the bike after installing the oil and filter it’s not even at the top line. Headed to the store now to buy another QT. Mines a 2020 ex650 but thought it would have been the same.

    Do I need to change oil filter with every oil change??

    • @poweroilcenter
      @poweroilcenter  Год назад +1

      We definitely recommend it. Keeping your oil clean means your engine runs better for longer.

    Does exhaust void the warranty?

    • @poweroilcenter
      @poweroilcenter  Год назад

      Changing exhausts typically doesn't void a warranty. BUT if you install something wrong and something breaks, that won't be covered by warranty.

    How much litre oil for ninja 650 2021

    • @poweroilcenter
      @poweroilcenter  Год назад +1

      It depends on if you swap your filter or not, but it will be about 2 quarts. Check out our oil change guide for the 650 for more info poweroilcenter.com/blogs/how-to/kawasaki-ninja-650r-oil-change-guide

    Any idea why my oil was completely dried out after 2000miles on fresh oil changed?

    • @poweroilcenter
      @poweroilcenter  Год назад

      The most likely cause is an oil leak. The engine could be consuming oil, but at that rate it's unlikely. When was the last time you changed the oil?

    • @honluu298
      @honluu298 Год назад

      @Power Oil Center thank you for your quick response. It seems like every time I change the oil. The oil in the engine is completely gone after driving 2000 miles. I have to top it off with new oil. I can't find a leak anywhere. But I think I feel some fluids coming out from the foot clutch while riding.

    • @poweroilcenter
      @poweroilcenter  Год назад +1

      @@honluu298 Sounds like that might be your leak. I'd recommend bringing it to your local bike mechanic to see if they can help solve the issue. Running an engine that doesn't have the proper oil levels can lead to some serious damage.

    You just tighten it by hand? 😐

    • @poweroilcenter
      @poweroilcenter  2 года назад

      Yup. Torque specs vary depending on the filter provider but they are typically under 10 ft lbs. Tightening with a wrench or something more powerful just makes life harder for whoever is taking off the filter next time.
