  • Today’s vehicles are constantly evolving, and many use advanced safety systems to warn you of hazards. They use cameras and sensors often fitted behind the rear-view mirror and near the bumper. When you have a windscreen replaced, it is essential that the cameras and sensors are reset (‘recalibrated’) to ensure they work correctly. Autoglass® is the industry leader in providing windscreen replacement and advanced safety system recalibration services, and our priority is to keep you safe on the road.

when repairing star chips in windscreens do you drill out and points where the crack stops so that it cant travel any further or just resin fill and let the resin re-bond the glass to itself along any cracks
i ask as i have an older car i want to remove the windscreen (a thicker laminate 70's car) and i want to do something to the star chip to see if it will give a better chance in surviving the removal
its held in with the rubber rather than bonded and the chip is closer to the bottom than the top so its not in the push zone for removal like the top would be as you peel the rubber back
