Benjamin is such a good big brother! “Baby, you’re doing it!” Out of all the impressive accomplishments you and Aaron have made at your home, those two are the most precious! I firmly believe one person can change the world. One person at a time. Thank you so much for the positive impact you both have on this world!
Hearing Aaron say, ‘good job, I’m proud of you” to Laura for cutting off the tree branches sounded so much like Benjamin saying to Samantha “good job, Baby” earlier in the video. You’re such a fun and supportive family your videos always makes my heart happy. I remember when you laid that pallet wood walkway, it’s so hard to visualize how that area looked before. The progress you’re making is astonishing and always motivating. Thanks for being you!
I'm not going to lie. Im going to miss that little wooden pathway i remember when you made it. I hope to see it somewhere in the future, but I have to agree it didn't fit the space any longer. Change is good and sometimes necessary! Beautiful job, Laura!
Agree so much! I felt sentimental about the pallet walkway It looked so different then, much more of a secret path. I am sure we will see it again maybe near the pond.
My heart broke a little watching that come up! I loved how it was a sweet cottage garden with the tucked in little path. Hopefully it makes an appearance somewhere else!
The sweet encouragement from Benjamin to his sister, mamas encouragement to Benjamin, Aaron’s encouragement to Laura and vice versa…….these are sounds of a great deal of love and mutual respect all the way around. Brought tears to my eyes more than once! Great video of all the stuff!
Laura - when your hen is singing or crowing as it were, she is letting you know that she has just laid an egg! Like everything else at GA, the chickens are beautiful! Thank you for keeping us with you as you design and clean - you are inspiring!
A little stone bench on the opposite side of the chicken coop perpendicular to the arbor would create a little secret place where you could watch the chickens. I can picture you with your talent making a wonderful little serene hiding place , maybe a tiny water feature, or something. Your vision always turns out beautiful. Can’t wait to see what you do with it in the future ❤
So funny, everyone has a different opinion! When I see an arbor, I think it invites you to walk through it. I don't like the basket boy obstructing the pathway....BUT...this is Laura's garden and Laura's vision! I soooooo appreciate watching everything I see in these videos.
I do too! I wonder if she has just a little something/something to place under him to raise him up just a little. But I think he is the perfect scale for that area.
I love how Benjamin was thinking ahead to protect your flower bed. More children need to outdoors doing activities and learning life skills. Cell phones and computers are not the answers, they are the destruction. I am so envious of your home as it is looking just so peaceful to sit out and enjoy after a hard day's work. Beautiful family!
How blessed we are to get to be a part of Garden Answer and your lives. Thanks for sharing it with us, Laura and Aaron. We have come to love all of your family! And learn so much about gardening and be inspired at the same time. God bless you all.
I think you should leave the basket boy. With the growth of that wisteria anything bigger will get covered. Looks awesome cleaned up! Your videos lately have inspired my clean garden clean up! 🥰🥰
Thank you, Lauren and Aaron, for sharing your life with us. And teaching at the same time I do rewatch your videos every spring because I’m always confused about pruning climber. The other ones I got down pat, the climber just confused me. I have several weeks before I will be pruning my back it’s Michigan. We are going to be 62 tomorrow and 28th the next day so I’m not in a hurry to do anything much for a while. I love it that Benjamin built you a fence to protect your flowers. How freaking sweet is that! And helping you tear up that pallet walkway and when Samantha was able to pull out by herself Benjamin saying “good job baby “ how wonderful what sweet memories you are making
Oh, my heart melts when I see Benjamin and Samantha spending time helping Laura with her projects. Making memories for sure as a family! Bravo...Great Job! ❤
Yes! How cool is it going to be when the kids are older to be able to look back at this and other footage! I’m of an era before everyone had cell phones with cameras so footage of my siblings and I are non existent. Such sweet memories they will have to look back on!
I think the basket boy is perfect! When the wisteria is green and draping, it'll be a nice frame for it. It also gives you a little room to plant something special in the basket 😊
It’s so considerate of you to keep Benjamin’s fence up, and so sweet of him to care so much about protecting the flowers. Nice to see the cats 🐈 🐈 (supervising) and the kids helping mama out with projects - it’s a great way for them to learn. I’m absolutely amazed at the difference in that area from when I started watching in 2020 and the way it looks now - what a transformation! Thanks for taking us along and for all the pruning pointers!
Thanks Laura for the pruning education. My (theoretical) pruning skill is improving. I’m saying “yes cut that one” before you decided. Pat on the back for me. 😂😂
Bev says that's not how we do it!!! The coop and chickens is one of my favorite areas of your property. I love how you treat them as part of the family!!!
OH MY GOSH. Samantha picked up on how to get the spikes out of the boards right away, and Benjamin exclaimed "Baby! You're doin' it!" (Oh, my heart. So precious!)
I just loved this one! I got everything I needed today...a little cleanup, a little flowers, a little family time, and a little Laura sass😂😂😂"I like it."
What a difference! And your helpers did such a good job. I love seeing you children wanting to help and you always are enthusiastic to let them help. I especially liked when Benjamin came out he said “Can I help you?” I loved his fence…he really is learning to be future big helper for you and I also liked that you are leaving it up till the flowers start to come up. I always learn something new from you and especially the proper way to trim plants…thank you again for a great video 💕
I like it when you occasionally slow down the video to real time for a few minutes that puts a true perspective on how long some of these tasks take...lol . And I am inspired to get out there and get after my clematis now I never really knew how to prepare it for it for the spring thank you so much😊
The basket boy will look WONDERFUL once the wisteria overtakes the space and he will be a perfect size! Sweet little eye catcher. I've had hibiscus all around my yard for 25 years and until today, I didn't realize I should cut them all back. They have reduced in blooms and now I will get at it and hopefully see a lot more as they are one of my favorite things - beautiful big bushes of color.
There are 2 different types of hibiscus. These are rose mallow types and die back to the ground every year like perennials. The roses of Sharon are typical woody shrubs and shouldn't be cut back.
@@Ibis333THANK YOU! Mine are Rose of Sharon - assume the Turks Cap is also. I hadn't made it out to the garden yet so you saved me work and some plants!
Maybe a pedestal under the lovely basket boy? I adore your interactions with your children! They are such good little helpers. Benjamins' fence to protect the flowers is priceless! Blessings!
It's a sad day. The pallet walkway is one of my favorite projects that you have ever done. I am confident it will find a new home in a wonderful place elsewhere on the property. I am reminded of one of your basic tenants: "If you don't like it where it is, move it or get rid of it." That thought has given me such freedom in my garden now. Thanks for sharing your gardening life with us. And your sweetie kiddos too. An of course...Aaron too!
Just want to take a moment to say thanks. The information and inspiration you guys share is valuable. However, just as valuable is providing us with a viewing entertainment alternative in this crazy world. So, THANK YOU! Your hard work is greatly appreciated!
Gosh so much sweetness the kiddos, chickens and the kitties in this video! I was thinking when I was outside early this morning in our yard “What would Laura do”? Our ground is still frozen here. I love the “basket boy”! Great job Laura!! Thanks for the video!
Seeing the kids helping away in the garden brings back so many happy memories, I was always so eager to help my mom in the garden, especially in Spring. Planting out spring crops and cleaning up; we grew up in Florida so our garden never really went to sleep so growing up a grandchild of a farmer the spring was go time! 😊
When you figure out what you want to do with the area you’ll probably take out the rest of the pallet walkway, wisteria and arch. It’s something to look at in the meantime. Love how it’s evolving and that your kids wanted to help out-how cute were her gloves!
I agree, Aaron knows Laura best. She needs a little time to come to grips with change . Before we know it the whole area will be having a new spruce up !
You were such a pleasure to watch! I love how the chickens have you wrapped around their little fingers, lol. I was thinking I bet you a bench seat would look really cute under that arbor that you just cleaned up instead of your little boy. Just a thought 😊
That palett walkway is probably my favourite thing about your property, I still remember when you installed it and I thought it look beautiful and still does.
I bet once the wisteria has blooms on it the scale will not look off with the basket boy planter. If I recall before you trimmed it up, it was pretty full with blooms and growth around the arbor it’s on. How cool your kiddos are helping you now. They grow up so fast. 😊
I really like the cute vista that the arbor and statue create. Don't get rid of it until you plant the boxwood and see how it looks. You just need a bigger statue there.
I love how you encourage the kids to help!! They are learning such great work ethics and the value and satisfaction that comes from hard work and teamwork and having fun doing it. No doubt they will grow up to be incredible adults. Future employers and future spouses will benefit in so many ways. I love the little basket boy. He’d look really good set on a small pillar. I think if you put a piece of flagstone or small brick platform under it across the arbor it would ground it and make it more of the feel you’re wanting. Maybe plant some lovely white roses behind him to contrast the color of the wisteria. 💕
The chickens are soooo funny! That clucking was likely because she had just laid an egg...they tend to make a big announcement, but not always. It's very similar to the sound they make when a predator is close, just a tad different. When a hawk or another bird-type predator is above, they make a long screech type of sound. We'll hear this quite a bit while at poultry shows, when a sparrow or other bird happens into the building and fly's overhead.
Good morning, Laura and Aaron, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b I love the way you reason and rationalize with yourself ❤ Great job ❤ Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾👍 ❤Peggy❤
What a great video. Benjamin is so cute. I love his fence and gentle nature. Laura, you are so clever at retooling areas in your garden. I always love seeing your children working with you. Great video 💚🐓🐈🐓
That's a mighty fine fence your son built for you! What a thoughtful little guy looking after mama's flowers.. and his encouraging his sister is the sweetest
❤ I had to laugh about the wisteria. It’s kind of like the joke where the farmer had a three legged pig and when asked why he had a three legged pig he explained that the pig had saved his life one time. So since it was such a great pig, just can’t eat a pig like that all at one time.😅
Aaron and your work ethics have inspired Benjamin. He’s thinking ahead for you mama. It’s so cute watching your little family help you. Thank you for sharing them with us!💕
Please tuck a little bistro set under the wisteria arbor for spring and summer! What a cute way to use the the pathway. It would lead to a little oasis near the chickens! Even a little concrete bench would be cute. And temporary (for Aaron)
Laura I admire your stamina in pruning. So much conviction and so fast. Guess that comes with experience, hope I’ll develop the same speed as you one day, soon.😆 As I find my garden work grows faster than I can keep up. Love to see your children help out and appreciate nature at an early age.
How refreshing to see Benjamin & Samantha Grace wanting to help, be encouraged by you & feel good & have pride in what they do no matter the time spent. Sadly, so many children now don't help as part of a team/family nor have the spirit to be helpful no matter if their parents promote this or not. Oh what they are missing..
Hi Laura and family Been under the weather ugh. Today is my house chores, tomorrow yard clean up 👏, over the weekend I worked on my Sunroom reporting etc.. I just loved this video cleaning up flower beds and your babies helping YOU SO ADORABLE. and willing to help and Mr. Aaron also Lending a hand, your furry babies out and about wanting some love and enjoying a sun bath. Enjoy the rest of your day, 🙂👋
You could give a little more height to the basket boy statue by placing it on a concrete pedestal. I love the flowers you planted in the basket. So sweet!
Your kids are so sweet, helping you with these tasks. It's a confidence builder, learning from you and initiating their own ideas, like Ben's little fence! So cute!!
It is so beautiful to see Benjamin and Samantha Grace helping out their mom. Enjoy them while you can. It always amazed my mom how my sister and brother would not help her in the garden and when we grew up and had our own house we all did some kind of gardening. I was able to play out in my yard today, I’ve been chomping at the bit to get outside and play in the yard. My project list will be growing in the next few weeks. Love the tips and info you give. Thank you.
My heart just melted when Benjamin said, “Baby, you’re doin’ it!” So sweet🥹 You inspired me to spend the afternoon in my yard. It was 80 degrees and glorious! I’m a new-ish gardener but I have iris and tulips popping up. Yay! How exciting! Question for Aaron: do you use a pre-emergent on your lawn? I’m switching to organic (Espoma) this year, but we have such a tough time with crab grass and I’m not sure what to use instead of the normal synthetic pre-emergents. I’ve seen mixed reviews on Espoma’s weed preventer.
I just love Benjamin's heart to want to protect mom's flowers. I love the archway and the Basket boy. When Benjamin then Samantha Grace came to help with the walkway it made my heart fill with joy.
How nice it must be; to be able to talk with your husband about plants and planning. For me it’s a one woman band, I haven’t that shared love with my husband for plants and planning. I would love to be able to collaborate with my husband about this stuff. He’s just not into it. But I am grateful he helps with the heavy stuff. Also, it’s going to be so awesome when your children get alittle older. Benjamin is already such a great help. I noticed he seems a lot like his dad, in that he seems to enjoy building and planning. And your daughter is so much like you. God is good
Thank you for removing those two limbs from the tree by the chicken coop. Theywere so much lower than the other branches that the tree was annoying to look at. Love the fence that Benjamin built. So wonderful watching Benjamin and Samantha helping take up the planks. They are learning early to love gardening. I find myself smiling from ear to ear watching the interactions between your family members. You are so sweet to each other and appreciative. Praying that God continues to bless you and your vlog on RUclips.
Maybe a concrete bench under the arbor would be nice. With the walkway leading to it. Shaded by the vines. What a good helper Benjamin is! Enjoyed hearing him praising his little sister. ♥
Thanks Laura, for the video, I always enjoy the videos with the kiddos so fun watching them help you. My oh my what a great help they will be when they are older. Good little helpers now. 😊❤ thus makes me want to get out in my gardens. I wish I had such sweet helpers to help me lol😊❤ love your boy container so pretty 😍 thanks for bringing us along God's blessings ❤😊 love you and your sweet family ❤
That vignette idea is wonderful! I hope it turns out just as you think it will be. I couldn’t think of something like that, I’m more an ‘Aaron than a Laura’
That was fun. The kids sure had a good time. You might hang something on the arbor over the basket boy, like a grapevine orb (with fairy lights?), to balance the scale while you’re looking for just the right piece for that space. I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. If I need a ‘pick me up’ I’ll re-watch some that I particularly enjoyed. Thank you, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha for all you do!
Precious little helpers. I love how willing they are. And it’s their idea. Hope that sticks. lol. Not always. I love the little basket boy. He does need a special little spot.
Oh the pallet walkway! I have such a special place in my heart for it because few years ago I was searching RUclips for pathway inspiration, found the video where you laid that walkway down, and I have been a superfan ever since!❤
Everything looks beautiful and fresh! Thank you for showing us it is OK to take things out and move things. I think YOU take away any doubt people may have. Gives me confidence to get some things moved now.
Love the fence Benjamin built to protect your flowerbed. Now that is love in motion! I recently watched a tutorial on rose pegging as they do in Sissinghurst. I think your climbing rose on the coop would be a perfect candidate to try this with. You tie the end of the canes to the ground creating an arch. It increases your blooms by 10 times and creates a beautiful arched espalier structure. Would the little witch hazel tree do well in a container as a patio tree? Yeah, I wouldn't want to give up the wisteria vine either.
I love the basket boy under that arbour. What about putting him on a pedestal? Also, it made me smile when you took the pallets up. In the UK, they would be completely rotten. I remember how much shade you got when you put that walkway down 😂
Benjamin is such a good big brother! “Baby, you’re doing it!” Out of all the impressive accomplishments you and Aaron have made at your home, those two are the most precious! My same thoughts! I’ve been mourning it since she said they would likely take it out sometime in the future. But it will be good!

Yes, She was singing her “egg song” 🎶 🐓
For now, the scale of the basket boy may look off, but when the wisteria grows and fills in the space, its goung to be just right. I am sure of it! ❤

❤ I had to laugh about the wisteria. It’s kind of like the joke where the farmer had a three legged pig and when asked why he had a three legged pig he explained that the pig had saved his life one time. So since it was such a great pig, just can’t eat a pig like that all at one time.😅
Agree, the removal of the lower branches on the tree looks great and the flowers are beautiful. Love to see the kids help you in the garden.
So sad to see the plank walkway gone. It was so whimsical and good to locate where you were in the garden. Looking forward to what’s next.
Love that your children want to help you. And you let them learn outside job around the home. Good parenting. 😊
I like how The Basket Boy flowers blend with into the pink cabbage behind them, and become part of that landscape.
Hi Laura and family
Been under the weather ugh.
Enjoy the rest of your day,
🙂👋
Looks great, I just love when the kids come out to help. My grandkids still come out and help me and I love every minute with them.
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
You could give a little more height to the basket boy statue by placing it on a concrete pedestal. I love the flowers you planted in the basket. So sweet!
What in world, Benjamin! He is so sweet to think of protecting your flowers and encouraging his little sister, “You’re doing it, baby!”❤
Your kids are so sweet, helping you with these tasks. It's a confidence builder, learning from you and initiating their own ideas, like Ben's little fence! So cute!!
How sweet, they will always love gardening and working in the yard so much family love.😍
I love how the kids helped and I loved Benjamin’s fence and naturally adorable as ever !!🩷🌺🌿🌸
Another amazing video, full of love and some laughter. The little boy with the flowers in the basket looks soooo good.
Loved your little team of professionals helping with the planks. So sweet. 🥰
Thank you.
I appreciate that rose clean up demonstration, I planted that kind of rose on my potting shed…hope it looks a nice as yours
What a team y’all are! I love that the little ones jump in and help. ❤
Loved watching the next generation of gardeners ❤
My heart just melted when Benjamin said, “Baby, you’re doin’ it!” So sweet🥹
You inspired me to spend the afternoon in my yard.
It’s fun to watch the kids get involved in your projects 💚
God is good
I do miss your previous garden with all the rooms but I can’t wait to watch you create new ones as you teach us all.
I wish I had such sweet helpers to help me lol😊❤ love your boy container so pretty 😍 thanks for bringing us along
God's blessings ❤😊 love you and your sweet family ❤
That vignette idea is wonderful! I hope it turns out just as you think it will be. I couldn’t think of something like that, I’m more an ‘Aaron than a Laura’
I've been wondering for a while when you were going to limb up that birch tree by the chicken coop! Looks great.
My goodness my heart! Benjamin and Samantha are the sweetest😊
Such a beautiful family, continued blessing always!
It must warm Aarons heart so much when he sees the kids helping Laura on projects unexpectedly when he's editing footage
Wow that goes to show how long I have been following Laura, I remember when she first put down that pallet walk way.😊
Love the fence Benjamin built to protect your flowerbed.
