- YOU WILL NEED TO SEE EPISODE VII BEFORE YOU WATCH THIS. Here it is! Finally! Also, please be noted that this is a bit darker than previous episodes. Also, RightonTracks10 has resigned from voice acting, so a big farewell to him! Anyway, enjoy!
Cast:
Thomas: RightonTracks10 .
Edward: EnterprisingEngine93
Boco: Andrew Homer
Gordon and Henry with Boco - a little perturbed by the Truck's singing - Edward and Stepney not so bothered - hilariously funny. 😂😂😂😂😂
And Neil enjoyed it
Quite right! No disagreement with that!
This episode literally explains who I am I suffer severe depression and anxiety along with a plethora of other mental conditions, but despite that, I've managed to carry on. This episode literally saved my life. Thank you.
HenryxEmily4Ever I feel your pain I am like Neil being moved about and then being sent to where wars are then back to where I was originally
i felt a way too. i have aspergers(high function autism) anger issues and mental scars. i fought many fights in my hood, but i lived on. this pretty much gave me inspiration. thank you
HenryxEmily4Ever I used to be scarred of the society when I was really young but I then watched some TV shows and they helped me to now I am happy with friends
HenryxEmily4Ever i think this is fake
It obviously is
No one puts this on youtube
I have autism, not many issues with depression though, and this is my favorite episode ever.
Neil's story is among the saddest in thomas history. "The world is corrupt." The Left in a nutshell. Stepney just told us a fun fact! The trucks are singing a good song.
"Keep moving forward."
- Walt Disney
“How did you survive”
“Mentally I didn’t”
That’s the quote Is… deep
looks like the troublesome trucks did something good for once
Even Boco admit it.
Yep they sang a song that lifted Neil's spirit. Excellent job you cars!
Troublesome Trucks: Heh thank you.
Lol 😂😂😂 I'm dieing from laughter
@@garricksl - not quite! Boco was a little bit put out !
@@stephenfarthing3819 - and garricksl even Gordon and Henry were left unimpressed with that! The trucks figured that the best mischief was to do something - uncharacteristically speaking - both good and mischievous at the same time - and get on Neil's good side, for once!
That was wonderful, I love the song Always look on the Bright Side of Life
Book Book vigil huh ujjjjjj
Me too!

Always look on the bright side of life, doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo, tell your friends and your ex wife, doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo
11:11 love that quote from forrest gump
What a heartwarming episode you did. Plus, that picture of a baby reminded me of what Ghana suffered a long time ago.

Somalia and Ghana along with other African nations suffer from the same story. Famine and economic problems leads to governmental collapse and factions fighting each other for supremacy.
kamenridernephilim Precisely.
The song the Trucks sing sounds like a Disney song
I know lol
When Neil mentioned "Loaf of bread" at 8:56 he's referring to that as the Middle eastern version of the "French revolution".
Monty Python‘s Life of Brian- Always look on the bright side of life. I LOVE IT.
The world is a scary place sometimes, Neil sir. There are two sides to people and things in this world. Light and darkness. Neil is shining brightly through his aged axles and gears. The Indian engines have either light with a hint of shadow or just dark personalities with a little soft speck light of empathy. As for the Somalians, the engines are the latter similar to the Indians but the people behind all this depression are pure darkness. Darkness in it's blackest form. One that is only shone by fire and rage.
Keep the sky blue, Neil! Mark our words!
There's a lesson I've learned a long time ago. No matter how bad things get in life, you have to look on the bright side of life. There are some negative things in the world, but have positive thinking, and you can get through it.
Always look on the bright side of life is a great song and because of this video I discovered Monty Python, the original group who sang that song, thanks for a great song and a wonderful video, I love all you episodes
I'm sure war veterans would understand neils situation. That's what I think about with this episode. A strong man stand up for himself a stronger man stands up for everyone. Words of wisdom.
That thing in Somalia was HORRIFYING!!!!!!!!
Sadly it's the sad, cruel truth
Yes it is.
7:55 someone needs a snickers ;)
To be fair it's practically on fire
That was fully intended to do so! And to put it into stark contrast.
Oh great, now there are truck musicals! LOL, actually it's kind of hilarious, indeed, this world has a cruel history, heck, even the geography scares me! Live each day Neil, live each day and swallow it.
4:35 An SAR 520 Class in India and a German engine afterwards? Strange
Nice use of Star Wars music and Forrest Gump reference
i didn't have any indian locomotives so i had to improvise XD
What parts were references to Forrest Gump?
Wildcat 1999 “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
4:35 Is that Shane?
+Thomas1Edward2Henry3 do you have Ashima?
I bloody love ‘always look on the bright side of life’, was not expecting it to show up here!
When Neil was explaining that everyone was slaughtered in his story, I hear Lilly's theme. I remember that theme from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow's Part 2. I feel sad about Neil's story in India and i hope his friends help him get over his past experience.
Me too, hearing that theme gave me chills :(
The trucks are singing! Isn't it beautiful?
Yes!
Always look on the bright side of life!
golly!
I just wonder what diesel 10 is up to?
georgemiser no offense but I find it kind of find it anoying
That ending is amazing. It made me smile
Stepney:the past is in the past Elsa:LET IT GO! LET IT GO!
Vinzsideoflife NO!😠
HELL NO!
(Speaking like Rev. W. Awdry) “......No.”
ryanbelcher25rb yes
Moses: no.... *NOOOOO!*
Very deep story-lines, but good to see a lesser know engine getting such a deep back-story.
Man, those troublesome trucks singing very good I love that.
Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life 12:27
EngineNumber14 I don't understand why the trucks did that. Did they feel sorry for him?
Actually 12:03.
No, I’m enjoying this!
Ah always look on the bright side of life one of Monty Python’s best songs
I just HAD to say this, but I think an important and unique feature about your series is that it shows a bit of what's going on in the real world. I think that gives it a great aspect of your series. Unlike ThomasWoodenRailway, you put a little bit of the globe's issues to solve problems. I still think TWR's series will always be outstanding even after years have went by since he left. However, you plunged your series into a direction I don't think I've ever seen any series go before. Mentioning how "People act like animals" and the entire war thing seemed to really give this episode the problem, and the outcome of the episode, too. To make a long story short, great job, and i hope to see this sort of thing in your series again.
Why thank you so much! It's nice to have some positive feedback! I used the flaws of mankind idea because I didn't want Neil to just have the usual "running away from scrap when he really isn't going to be", used way to much. It seems to have worked superbly! Season 2 (starting with Episode 11) will have simpler storylines like the first four seasons of the TV series, but I will definately add more real world issues.
Thomas1Edward2Henry3 That gives your series an interesting feel to it. I hope to make a trainz series someday, and I have to say, along with WilNorWester, you are probably one of my main inspirations for the series. Now that i think about it, did you ever confirm if i was voicing Terence or not? You said you'd give him to me"for the time being" , so I was never too positive if I had him or not.
Thomas Chuggington yes u did get terence. i meant you will only voice terence until another role opens up.
Thomas1Edward2Henry3 okay thanks. When should I expect my lines?
cool
I feel sorry for Neil’s past is very sad Somalia is very shocking
It was horrific!
It's actually practically on fire IRL
I honestly couldn't wait for this episode. I was not disappointed at all. Keep it up!
It wasn't just that for me. You guys prove that certain pieces of music can offer relief from fear. For me, it was a hymn that made me face a fear of a hospital operation. ' I, the lord of sea and sky!' got me to face it and not run away from it. For Neil it was that song from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and he realised that a lot of the Engines were there for him.
Neil was afraid of - well ? - basically everything. And even coming back home to Sodor. Didn't help, not until he knew that the Engines of Sodor were there for him. Stepney's right, you really don't know what will happen. It's like a box of chocolates! And indeed. Mark Twain - or Samuel Clemens as he was also known - knew the demons of this matter.
It took the version of ' I, the lord of sea and sky' by the Wells Cathedral Choir for me, to face the fear of that hospital operation and prove to me, that hiding or running is not the answer. If you do have some of these fears, then listen to that version of this hymn for yourselves, of ALL AGES!!
Being afraid or scared is understandable. If you do another story featuring Neil, Clive and Matthew - try to put that into it. And there's some youngsters in Uvalde in Texas, who need that sort and kind of help. Those old characters have a wisdom of their own. And maybe there's a way of a path to be found.
Jeez poor Neil. As someone who has read about what happened to a lot of African nations (Somalia, Rwanda, Eritrea, Uganda etc) I can't blame him for having ptsd.
a great episode, very cleverly made, but also provides a valuable meaning that can be interpreted in many different ways
I like the steam engines better than the damn diesel locomotives.
ThomasFan215 Productions i do too I think steam is a legend and steam is a past
Thomas and his friends are Racist or enginist
SHUT UP CHAOS
REDEXPLODEDKID IS AWESOME He has a point, Thomas is extremely racist to most diesels, nevermind how useful an EXPRESS DIESEL WITH A CRANE ON TOP is
@@Ty-yt3lj he is only racist to those diesels which bully him.
Poor Neil! He's got one of the worst cases of ptsd I've ever seen!I can totally understand that he just wants to commit suicide so he doesn't have to go through the torment or the memories anymore
I'm indian and I love this episode!!
Same here.

Sure bro.
Oh, Gordon and his witticism. LOL
Never could get enough of this Star Wars music.
Man... Things weren't going for Neil, huh?
What could be worse? The Somali Civil War itself or the pirates in their midst?
What do the engines have against such that cool song? ROFL
4:32 - Hey, look at that. It's Shane of Australia.
6:29 I imagine if this was live action that the Indian Manager would be played by Ifran Khan. Since he played another caring businessman in Jurassic Park, which was Simon Masrani. Plus 6:35 that face is adorable.
Now that was a spectacular episode. I laughed at the part where Stepney quoted Forrest Hump and where the trucks sang "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". Although, why did you use BoCo's 2006 model at the end instead of his current one? Still, an awesome episode, and I can't wait until the next one!
the trainz 2010 boco model at the end was having problems changing faces for some reason.
***** I did, and I will record them soon.
@@Thomas1Edward2Henry3 good story and you know I think you should have had ashima in this episode
Oh my f****** god this is terrifying just f****** terrifying
Do you mean Forrest Gumph?
Always look on the bright side of life!!
8:40 I was interested in the background music while Neil's continued story.
Neil learned to put on a happy face. His gloomy mask of tragedy is NOT his style...
watches this and is horrified then that song came on then I was laughing
Great message really a realistic that everyone can take something from this.🕙🇹🇷
🎵Always look on the bright side of life!🎵 :D
Always look on the bright side of life! That made me smile. When the music from Monty Python And the Holy Grail. Was used.
Neil survived in terrible attack and it was escaping from attack.
My favorite character in all of Thomas and Friends Is the troublesome trucks.
They're the best. : )
And the absolute most consistent. (Never deviating from being troublesome even in AEG)
Love the stars wars music man
Other than them messing with Diesel in Season 6 (I think) and in the Devious Diesel episode (S3E2 from you) this is about the only time I've seen the trucks be useful, canon or otherwise.
And I love it.
GintaPPE1000 the trucks may not like the engines and they do push them off the rails and they do make fun of them but they wouldn't want to destroy the engines
;( Gordon, your words are so true.
Neil: i'm sad.
The Trucks: start singing:
Neil: :D
How about the 3 engines work in America and they would work in California from 1941-1967 and in 1969, the 3 engines were sent to the Strasburgh railroad . In 1978 the 3 engines were separated so Neil would go to a rail yard in Chicago, Mathew would work at a rail yard in ohio and Clyde would work at a rail yard in Wyoming but they were all sent to 3 separate railroad museums in 1986 and Neil ran excursions at his railroad museum from 1987-2000,Mathew ran excursions at his railroad museum from 1987-1993 and Clyde ran excursions at his railroad museum from 1987 to 1996
I wish they would build a replica of the locomotive that Neil is.
Of all the episodes of your series, this one was the most emotional for me.
4:34 Shane before The Great Race
The Bigmindcreator AKA Elliot lol
I feel so bad for Neil, now that the ‘Phantom Saboteur’ trailer came out.
What happend in it?
@@ytchannel1207 everything got shot up and blown up and it's sad since he's seen so much war and violence. I probably brought back a lot of stuff from Somalia
@@railyardpro.3651 Awwwwwwww ):
Thats so sad
Thanks for telling me
What type of diesel is Rijul, he looks like a U-boat
Big little Railroad the exact asset name is "CHN ND5-1 (GE C36-7)" if I remember correctly.
The trucks singing is something I will never forget
I'm glad Neil is back on Sodor and is happy again. Will he see Skarloey and will his two brothers return to Sodor? That would make an interesting story.
If your ever sad or feel suicidal, just remember the trucks can cheer you up with there song look on the bright side
Sodor-India-Somalia-Sodor? Some kind of international race
This is the best Engines of Sodor episode!! Ever!!!
4:34 Goof! Neil talks about the Indian Engines yet Shane the *AUSTRALIAN* Engine is shown
Aw, poor Neil.
BoCo: maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but soon for the rest of your life
Neil: but what about me?
BoCo: you’ll always have your brothers
man this really hit close to home, good work.
I love this episode so much .
Me too. It’s my all time favourite Episode!
My god, this is almost as dark as "Dark Times" and "Tobias and the Half-Pariah"!
inb4 watch. I know I'm I for a ride

Thomas is 107 years old wow hes old
But in ending trucks song for cheer up😄
Matthew Hahn agree
Hankapaldum
Poor Neil.
wow this is great sad and funny when the trucks are laughing LOL!
Always look on the bright side of life is my 2nd favorite new song
12:18
I lowered pitch of the trucks singing "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". It's the actual audio from Monty Python's Life of Brian.
The end song is going to be stuck in my head for 2 weeks
Those trucks can be a menace, but if they can make Neil feel happy after what he went through, then I'm pretty sure even James could forgive them.
Did Stepney seriously just quote _Forrest Gump_?
🎶12:00🎶 the troublesome trucks become the musical trucks.
Star Wars music. Yay.
I love how even the trucks try to help Neil feel better. Even they, who are usually viewed as the least caring characters (since the few times they help engines are just for their own benefit and they put themselves in very dangerous situations for fun), know how to deal with this.
I wish I could do more than subscribe and like this video because you deserve more than that.
That's something I've been trying to figure out. It seems to me that the trucks don't actually hate the engines.
In other words. Edward. Be quiet and hear out the story.
Poor Neil...
Yes, poor small Green Train🚂
OMFG what a horrible life Nil had in India I felt very sorry for what Nile had to go through and at least Nail did attempt to kill himself 🤬☠️😭😭😭😭😭
I love this song! 12:27 It made me smile.
LOL im 8 years old and im wacthing dis
Somalia was chaos.
Very good 😦
Great choice of star wars music
great song to end this ep
always look on the bright of life
I have to watch this again! :D
0:29 I know of you... Thomas the Tank Engine
NEIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you put star wars music
Wow. This one was very good.
What a beautiful story told here. It's plenty realistic, too. That was great. Neil's story is exceptionally well told, and his attitude is very true, very realistic. He's just great. It escapes me why he would just let Thomas go, however; it seems to me he would say something. Although not doing that enabled the story, so I'm not complaining.
The rest of the characters were fantastic, too. Gordon was no help, but that's as usual, so no complaints there.
The representation of the urge to commit suicide here isn't 100% true to life here, but I don't believe it needs to be in this case; the way it is works just fine. The real pictures were a little jarring, however, especially the baby one. I'm not sure they were necessary.
What was with the voices? Neil's was alright, but Stepney's was terrible, and what the hell happened to Edward's in the middle? It sounded like somebody else patched it up after the fact!
Random question: why was Toad with Duck? Is Oliver okay with that?
Something I noticed was the music; finally, the music is back the way it should be. It was great. And don't think I missed that Star Wars music in there! This whole episode was shot extremely well; now I just want to know what happened to Matthew and Clive!
Overall, this one is one of your best. It supplants it's predecessor as my second-favorite in your series, and even challenges Brave Brothers, though it doesn't quite take it over... yet. This is the quality I'll be expecting in the future.
Wow a very shocking Tale, what happened to Neil was Terrible
i love your indian accent xD
nice choice of song
great work
