God damn almost 11 years later... still one of my favorite parts of all time and I also think this was the first skate video I got off iTunes back in the day ( if y’all know ya know)
It's crazy to know Paul has been relevant for at least 3 decades now. Late 90's, 2000's.10's. and the 20's still. That's a testament to his character and grace on and off a skateboard.
Still one of the greatest parts. A perfect marriage of music, footage and editing. I still remember the hype leading up to the release of this video and everything that came after. Definitely changed the game of skateboarding and still holds up just fine today. A timeless part. Glad that I was around to experience it.
Prime Prod, prime skateboarding. This was the era boys. Back when not all shoes were vulcanized, companies were owned and operated by skateboarders for the most part, full length videos still existed, it was easy to keep up with who was new and what had/hadn't been done, Josiah Gatlyn was still around, we still thought we'd see a backside flip down El Toro, and skateboarding wasn't insane to the point that it still seemed possible to have a career in it if you didn't tre flip a 17 by the age of 8. This was the golden era of skateboarding for me, and it will never be the same. Thank you Paul.
... showed this to people who have no idea about skateboarding and they all flipped out. comes to show the quality of this video. Jesus that was amazing.
2:52 My favorite line he's ever done to me. Just that switch flip nosegrind is just pefect. and then the switch hard 5. is just fucking OMGGG! and then the nollie hard crook is just mind blowing. 3:48 then this Lazer is just amazing especially with the song man... 4:08 then the nollie 360flip is just WTFFFF. and the song is just perfect bro wtff
I find it incomprehensible how someone can come to this page, watch this video all the way through and then be like, "nah, that sucked, he sucks, he used to be better soo.... thumbs down!" For those of you wondering why he's mostly doing street league now a days, he's a grown man with kid...Probably wanting to continue making a good living for their future. The other thing to think about is how much of a role his extremely large budget sponsors play in what he puts his time, energy and body into. They pay him a lot, and I'm sure they get a lot of airtime / exposure from him skating in street league...So there may be a connection there. Don't hate on the Rod! Side note, he's been my favorite skater (style, personality and trick selection) since City Stars - Street Cinema made in 2001!
Time goes by so fast its crazy! This guy is inspirational! The world was so much simple back then! LEGEND 4EVER. And back then we could get all these nikes, no hypebeasts, just pure fun and love for skateboarding. PROD 🐐
Exactly the tricks that the online watchers expects to exist in a contest, the legend was smoothly sailing in his lines, cause of this I see times come and go, but still he's always alive on the sk8 scene!! ❤
So fuckin dope p rod. Hands down you've been my favorite skater since day one. Nobody has style like you bro. You will be known as a legend in the skateboard community.
man, cant believe this has been 6 years... where has time gone. i used to watch this everyday its soo good !! haha and prod is still shredding right now!!
I was 16 when this was released on fucking itunes in 2010 and my friends and I watched this part over and over religiously, memorizing every single trick...best P Rod part ever.
Can't believe this was 2010, such a ground breaking part, miss the days of looking forward to new skate videos dropping... Thank you for all the work filming and making vids 🙏🏼
This is why p rod is my favorite skater. Her is so freakin good and so inparational. The style and trick level is so insane. One of my favorite video parts. And those nollie hardflips look so damn good when you do it down stairs. You da best p rod, I will see you this weekend in New Jersey.
I keep looking back on this and thinking how much this time was in skateboarding. The skate shoes were better, less "life-style" brands using skating as an image, no Olympics talk, let's just say it. P-Rod was King at this point. Always one of my favorites. Helped me get creative in what he said was the best time to be a skater (age 12-16). Bless this man.
This part is underrated. Is one of the best ever.
Said no one ever
I’m so agree, underrated part!
Amen
not underrated at all
Who the fuck underrated this?
If this were to come out today it would still be some gnarly game changing shit... and this came out 8 years ago. Hats off to prod
its still holding 12, almost 13 years later
@@MaatStile agreed
if only he would have chosen a better song...then it would be a lot better. its undermined by the self centeredness of the song. thanks
Yup, still holds up in 2023 :D
And still 6 years after your comment
Bro remember buying this on iTunes with my dads credit card and getting my ass whipped with the belt totally worth it 😂
How much was it? 😭
@@CosmicSkater im pretty sure 5 dollars or 3
That’s wack it wasn’t like it was porn or anything lol
Should've never charged you to watch skateboarding anyways lmao
lmao, you're a legend for it though
This part makes me realize how deep Paul's bag of tricks is.
There are another parts of him that make me wonder as well… he is like a surprise box
That nollie back late flip is so under rated.
sickest trick of the part!!
Bro...word! I had to rewind it

It's crazy to know Paul has been relevant for at least 3 decades now. Late 90's, 2000's.10's. and the 20's still. That's a testament to his character and grace on and off a skateboard.
Amazing part

Ae Luan, você Paul Rodriguez e o Chris Cole são as inspiração que tenho para mim =D
+Richard Luna he's on Flip fool

Luan Oliveira Luan seu Rei, ti considero um Rei Luanzão
Shit still holds up. That's really saying something with the rate that skating progresses now.
That nolle 180 late flip down that set blew my mind. P Rod is one of my favesss
6 years later and this part still has the power to make skaters want to go out and be like P Rod. That is what you call inspirational!

Still one of the greatest parts. A perfect marriage of music, footage and editing. I still remember the hype leading up to the release of this video and everything that came after. In my opinion I feel like this kind of prod is better than the prod of today
Honestly this is one of his greatest parts
