I'm gonna run GT3 fixed here this week in the Ferrari, along with some Porsche cup on the side. Great guide again, will definitely be using it, as I was super slow in my short lunchtime practice.

Great video, I think you've shown me some stuff I can do way better. I'll have to hit the track and try it out.
I was wondering why I was so slow on this track then I realised how much time i must loose after t1 because I shift down to 2nd gear. i have a similar braking point and exit speed but that extra gear shift must be costing me a good second or more going down the esses and the straight.

Yeah, any loss of momentum is magnified several times by the uphill section through the chute after t1. 5 hundredths through the turn can turn into 5 tenths by the bus stop. Good luck with your practice!

I did really well to qualify in 4th earlier today in the Fanatec GT3 event at Watkins, but I ended upgeting spun in the first corner by another car and had to do a recovery drive. Hopefully with Russell's tips I'll get pole and avoid carnage in the pack.

Had time to watch properly now. Man you were super fast through the bus stop. I think I lose about a second on that alone. Coming down one gear to much on other corners as well. I'm a mess :D

To be fair, the gear thing is quite particular to the way the gt3s are running these days after recent updates / setup changes. Bus stop is the key!

That’s a super common theme - late braking and over braking pretty much go hand in hand. Slow in; fast out with a nice smooth brake action will make the world of difference. It feels slower, but the delta bar will show otherwise
