You must be very naive. His contract already has provision for exactly this situation with a buy out clause so it was anticipated it would arise. Also, Man Utd would offer him £7-10m a year which would set him up for life. Plus it's a massive club he supports and would want to manage. He will know this chance doesn't come around very often. If they do offer it, he will be very likely to accept it. To think he will turn down Man Utd is simply unrealistic.
@@pafcpafc870 exactly. McKenna has already done a hell of a lot for the club and as I said the contract allows a buy out, so he'd be doing what was within the terms agreed by the club. Whatever reservations he had about the role he would take it if offered because he may not get a better chance to manage the club he really loves, and financially anyway it would set him up with success. Even if it didn't work out well he would get another prem job anyway. Am afraid he was always going to go, so let's not get too hung up about it. But - I don't think he'd be offered it. Too much of a risk. Tuchel and Southgate clearly more experienced.
Mckenna won't leave he's done a fantastic job at Ipswich and I hope you lot stay up next season. Btw does anyone remember the foggy game at the kassam between Oxford united and Ipswich
I think McKenna would have stayed even if we hadn't won promotion this season, both he an Ashton have alluded to being ahead of schedule so I'm not worried. He almost has carte blanche to build the whole club at Town that he likely wouldn't have at United, who have had good managers since Fergie left that haven't been able to get a tune out of Old Trafford.
This coming season is an absolute free hit for Kieran McKenna. His own personal 'stock' won't diminish whatever happens to Town as half the footballing world think we're doomed before a ball is kicked and KM won't be blamed if that happens. That said, should we be relegated he will I believe, jump ship then and not go down with us.
Too soon for him to go to Man Utd, he needs to prove his credentials in the Premiership first. He is an honourable individual, has a great relationship with Mike Ashton and is given free rein here. A golden opportunity for him to establish Town as a Premiership team and then move to one of the bigger teams . Ashton said yesterday they are already working on incoming players, that wouldn’t be the case if he was leaving. COYB and Uppa Town
I read that Kieran has been a Man U fan since his childhood. Its likely that if he does go to another (sounds good does'nt it?) Premiership team it would be the Red Devils. Of course the pressure on him would be much higher there.
I hate to say it but McKenna is destined for a bigger club than Ipswich at some time in the future, particularly if Town do well next season. I would be majorly surprised if he chose to leave before having a go at Premier League management with Ipswich. I can only hope that, should the worst happen, Ipswich struggle in the first half of the season that the usual knee-jerk reaction doesn't happen and the club stick with him.
He’s under contract for another year. Beyond that I think it depends how well Town do next season. Do well and I think he’ll stay. Struggle and we may lose him.
No way would he leave us in his first season as PL manager especially if it’s for a club as big as United. He needs another 2 years at least to develop into a top premier league coach before considering the United job
I would hope he would want to stay with a team he has brought up two leagues. I could see Man U since they are so big, but I thought McKenna stated he is happy here. There is no pressure and he is loved here, we are a PL team now, and I am sure we will pay him. It would be different if we stayed in Championship.
If he went to Man U and didn't win the title first season he'd be fired instantly, called over hyped and got lucky with Ipswich AND would have destroyed his image with Ipswich and considered a traitorous money chaser
A move to United would be the totally wrong move. He's on a journey and couldn't beleive hed walk away from the challenge of establishing Ipswich in the premier league. COYB! United need to sort their house out somewhere else.
Why go to a club that's gonna finish below us next season 😜. Jokes aside he's got decades of management ahead of him. Jumping for the big lights so early and if it went backside up, all he's done for us would be quickly forgotten by the big clubs looking for managers thereafter 🤷♀️
Easy and lazy journalism to link McKenna with Man United. Given his history at that club and McKenna getting his rightful plaudits on the back of back to back promotions.
Alex's it's a red herring total b/s. United fans want Ten Hag to be the manager next season. Its only a minority who want him out. He is also in talks with inios over his contract. There is also rumours about Southgate being linked to utd and also potter. United fans don't want either. Mine main love is Exeter City but have also followed Man Utd since 1968 and tune in to the Uts Stand videos daily. Utd fans want a clear out of certain players NOT the manager. Sleep easy my friend your manager isn't going to Utd.
He wouldn't even think about it. He is under contract and is a man of honour
Also have to prioritise what’s best for your career.
Absolutely deluded pal, United come calling he's gone😂😂😂

lol..trust me if United came in for him he’d go in a heart beat! United won’t tho

I think he stays with us this season , although i reckon we will finish somewhere in the bottom 6 . 17th would do me just fine .
No chance Alex excellent content as usual just like your vids all the way through the season Up The Town "We Are Premier League COYB....
Man United, a step backwards.

It will sink in when are first goal hits the back of the net 😄😄😄

He won’t go it’s too early for that big of a job. Should go for the journey with Ipswich in the premier league
He’s not Ready that’s the reality
Hi Alex, do you think kieran should strengthen more at the back this summer? And do you see Aaron Cresswell coming back to Portman Road?
100% McKenna is clever enough to know thats where we need spending
Ipswich🔵🔵⚪️🔵🔵⚪️🔵🔵🔵⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️
Alex are you happy at Leeds lead 3-0 against Norwich now?😂
Defo justice for Leeds when you think they finished with near one 20 points more than norwich..
ITFC !!!
You fly straight into my heart ❤️

He has started something good with Ipswich he is on a journey
🎉
He's not ready for Man UTD yet give him 5 years then probable
Agree if he does ok in the premiership eventually he will go to a bigger club than us
I’m sorry but is it just me who still has blue pyro in the scalp of their hair
He’s under contract for another year. Beyond that I think it depends how well Town do next season. Do well and I think he’ll stay. Struggle and we may lose him.
McKenna might come back to Man U and he might be A good manager For our club I SUPPORT Man United
McKenna to Man Utd. Then Town will go for David Wagner.
He won’t leave
Were there not rumours that McKenna didn't get on with the dressing room and left happily?
Wasn't it man city and watford that did a back to back instead of wolves and sheffield united?
No way would he leave us in his first season as PL manager especially if it’s for a club as big as United. He needs another 2 years at least to develop into a top premier league coach before considering the United job
Next season below top 10

I doubt Manchester United would appoint a manager with McKenna's limited experience. In a few years from now, it's a possibility.
@@geoffpoole483New ownership, different approach. Reports today that Ineos would want a young manager to replace ten Hag🤷♂️
Ten Hag will stay. McKenna will go to Utd if Ten Hag does season after next
I wouldn't start dancing yet,..this is the biggest step Ipswich have faced in decades,..let's see who you buy & where you are come Christmas..🤔
If he goes I'll loose my shit
Nooooooo😢
If he went to Man U and didn't win the title first season he'd be fired instantly, called over hyped and got lucky with Ipswich AND would have destroyed his image with Ipswich and considered a traitorous money chaser
Nobody is expecting United to win the league next season🤣
@@craigmoore4876 The board would if they poach McKenna
As utd would i take him probs not as i think id need see how does next year
He's gone by Wednesday

mckenna aint no sell out. ofc hes going to stay

I'm sorry Mr Argyle fan, remind me where you finished last season !!
Genuinely he wont go he is here till England come calling
Don’t know why he’d wait for the England job when he’s not English
Ain’t a town fan but I hope he stays
Me won't leave for united they sre a sinking ship. I don't see him leaving Ipswich any time soon.
On
no footie? lots of soccer in USA
No way him and Ashton have a vision for this club
if they offer him a few million a year what do you think he would do
Ipswich could match it now if it’s just a few million
McKenna could manage both 😮
2 wins vs Top 8 in championship, he’s staying
90+ points in the championship with a squad that had just come up from League 1.
Easy and lazy journalism to link McKenna with Man United. Given his history at that club and McKenna getting his rightful plaudits on the back of back to back promotions.
Tell you this we will finish 6 prem is not great any more
Mckenna goes to Man U & we replace him with Wayne Rooney... No problem.
1st
KMcK is going nowhere until he has progressed the ITFC 'project'. He is too classy to be lured away by ManU's filthy lucre.
Why even bother to join in?
He not going
West Ham will not get Kieran Mckenna next season Julen Lopetegui will be new West Ham manager next season
